Chapter 204
Two months had gone faster than expected. The wedding was in only one week. They were currently at the Lawson's. Grandfather had insisted they stayed there until the wedding day.
Ariana found a way to get closer to the family, on the other end Sofia and lily were allowed to study her every movement so they would kidnap her. Today would be their lucky day because she was going to be all alone around the house.
Ariana sat under an umbrella In the garden, she watched as the maids cleared the weeds that had grown. They asked for Noah to do so but they. Couldn't find him anywhere so Ariana volunteered. They tried to stop her claiming she was getting married she needed to be fresher than ever and her body needed to revitalize itself, she needed beauty baths and skin care but she said she was going to be fine. but Ariana was too stubborn to listen she went ahead and did as they told her not to.
"My lady don't you need at least a glass of water," A maid stopped before her to ask if she needed anything.
"I would only drink water till you are done, they might not let me help with the weeds but I'll stay dehydrated till you are all done hurry up so I can quench my thirst," Ariana said with a smile.
"Remember my fate is in your hands," she said.
Ariana used this tactic on them so they wouldn't relent and stop working, they never finish the job in one day. They knew very well that if something happened to her Calhoun would not take it easy on her.
Noah stood on the balcony watching as some of the maids cleared up the overgrown weeds. He also saw as Ariana supervised them under an umbrella. The summer breeze and warm sun were already decreasing as the days went by, soon it would be autumn. He folded his hands as he stood. Personally, he had already forgotten how long he had been standing out here watching. He had a lot going on in his head that he basically didn't even care about.
Noah and Sofia's relationship had been falling apart since that day. But he still loved her gravely and there was nothing he could do about it. He wanted to marry her but he didn't think she felt the same way for him.
What if they tried to kidnap Ariana and they get caught, it was obvious they would probably be sentenced to death.
He loved both of them and he wasn't denying it. He had to find a way to stop the both of them unless he was going to lose them. They both had no idea what they are doing. Both of them were blinded by their hate for Ariana. He had to find a way to save them. The last time they spoke in the room, His mom and Sofia agreed that they would try to kidnap her today. Everyone was going to be busy. Ariana made the job easier by sitting outside.
He kept on looking outside until he saw matt and grandfather passing outside. Their bond has been growing stronger for the past few weeks. Noah had noticed how much he has changed. Everything has become different for him. Should he perhaps talk to Matt about the plan?
Matt would talk to Calhoun so they could find a solution on how to save Ariana. Because he could not directly tell Calhoun he wouldn't listen to what he had to say.
That was the first step. He has to speak to Matt.
He placed his hands back down and blinked away the little peek of dust that got into his eyes.
He couldn't help but scratch it with his hands, he ran his fingers through his hair as he stared at the both of them. He watched as they disappeared into the house.
He had to speak to matt.
After taking in deep breaths Noah left the balcony and headed toward Matt's room. He didn't know why he felt nervous all of a sudden.
He got to the door and held back his breath before he knocked lightly.
"Come in," matt responded from inside.
Noah walked inside his brother's room and Matt was shocked to see Noah.
Matt sat in the corner of his room with the lights switched only the light from the windows illuminated the blue-coloured room. He had posters of one direction all over the room and he was working on his computer. Matt removed his face from his brother's and continued on the laptop.
"It is you? What could you want this time, mother probably sent you here right? As you can see I'm a changed person," Matt said immediately after he entered.
"That's not why I'm here," Noah said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Then if is about mother and what she has done please leave," He told him.
"That's also not why I'm here Either, " Noah said as he ran his hands in his hair.
Matt stopped what he was doing and focused his attention on his brother.
"I want to talk to you," He said.
"And what is that you wish to talk about?" He asked his brother.
"It's a little about mother and Sofia and a lot about Ariana, and I can assure you that she is in danger," Noah said.
"What about Ariana?" Matt asked as he stood up from the corner he sat at.
He place his laptop down and he stood and walked toward his brother.
"Not long ago I was with them in the little meetings they always have and Sofia was furious, it was the day Cal announced he was getting married," Noah said
"But I thought she liked you instead what is going on?" Matt questioned with a frown on his face.
"Look, she said she didn't like she was just using me because she liked how I hit her at night or whatever time we hit, she said she would never ever marry me, it hurt me but I just couldn't say anything I just Watched because I was shocked but I heard their conversation properly, they plan on kidnapping Ariana and today they are going to kidnap her, I thought I should tell you," Noah said before he looked away.
"Why didn't you tell me all this since? Noah?" He asked him. Matt scratched the back of his head as he stared at his brother.
"I'm sorry but it skipped my mind, and I tried to talk some sense into them but they refused to listen to me, they say they would still go ahead with the plan," Noah said.
"Fuck! I have to tell Calhoun! Ariana is in danger," Matt said out loud.
"I don't know what his mother's problem it's almost as of she didn't want anybody to be happy around this household," Matt added.
"Sometimes I want to deny she is my mother after everything that happened but it is impossible, I love the Woman despite all her deeds but she keeps on fucking things up!" Matt said again. Before he rubbed his forehead with his palm.
"And Matt one more thing before I go," Noah snapped his brother out of his monologue.
"Yes?" He replied.
"Mother is Evil, all she ever thinks about is money and herself, and doesn't care about our well-being or all that will remain of us," Noah said before he heaved a sigh and walked out of the room.
Matt watched his brother leave the room and he smiled at himself. He was growing.
He had finally opened his eyes he could see clearly what his mother was, she was misleading them and making things harder for them. They both thought she was doing it for their well being but she did all that she did for her own selfish reasons, not even thinking about them.
Matt left the room and headed to where Calhoun was sitting. He was my grandfather's study.
He made sure nobody was at his back. Grandfather was not in with him.
Matt placed a soft knock on the door as he waited for an answer. It almost felt like a déjà vu.
"Come in," Calhoun said.
Matt entered and locked the door softly behind him.
"To what do I owe this visit that couldn't wait till I was done with what I was doing," Calhoun cut through.
"At the moment I am also busy but I'm here to talk about something important not bicker with you, Ariana is in danger," Matt went Straight to the point.
"From who? you? Or from what exactly? " Calhoun asked before he snickered
"Sofia and my mom are trying to kill Ariana you have to do something," matt said and Calhoun looked at him before he covered the books he was reading.
"Sofia!"

Lily stood in front of the kitchen.
She wanted to get the drink that was going to be given to Aria so she could put the pills in them. They needed her to be unconscious. The maid she sent to ask her for a drink came back to her.
"Yes, what did she say?" She asked.
"She refuses to drink anything until the work on the garden is done," The maid answered.
Lily hit her hands on the wall.
"It fine you may leave," She dismissed the slave.
"Thank you," he said before he bowed his head and walked away.
Sofia tapped her shoulders gently on the back. Lily turned to look at Sofia.
"Yes?"
"What about the drink have you given it to her?" She asked.
"Not yet I haven't, she refused to drink anything," she said.
Lily turned away from Sofia and walked towards the door till she got outside.
She wanted to go to her and chug the drink down her throat but people were around and she would obviously start screaming like an idiot.
Lily placed two of her fingers on her forehead and rubbed it softly. Time was going and they had to get their plan working.
The traders were going to come to the gate in less than an hour. They would come to buy her and they haven't even kidnapped her yet. She sat watched closely, the maids were already done with the weeds and Aria was already yawning. It would not be long before she would stand up from the chair.
"Sofia," Calhoun's voice made lily turn around.
Sofia at the kitchen door felt her heart skip a beat, Calhoun was only this loud when something happened. What had she done this time?
His grandparents had come out of their rooms after they heard their son yell out Sofia's name. Even some of the maids poked their heads to see what was going on.
Everyone was out of their rooms except for aunty Elsie.
"Sofia!" He called out her name again.
Matt followed closely behind him as they went down the stairs.
Aria had already gotten inside the house she heard the yells of her future husband.
He moved towards lily first and dragged her to where Sofia was he also held Sofia by the collar choking her.
She started to cough violently and her face became red. People around him begged Him to let her go but he refused to listen he was blind with anger. He wanted to kill her at that moment. Until Aria rushed to where he was and held the hands that choked her.
"I can't possibly marry you if you are in jail right!" She yelled and he let go of Sofia.
"Son what did she do?" Lawson senior asked.
"Lily and Sofia planned to kidnap her today so she wouldn't be able to get married!" He said
"What proof do you have that we did it?" Sofia asked.
It was almost as if the universe was working in Calhoun's favour, the gatekeeper came in to tell Calhoun that some men had come to see Lily.
Calhoun requested they came in.
Two bluff men one shorter than the other both entered.
"Who are you?" Calhoun questioned.
"We were asked to come here to pick up a girl name Ariana and Was supposed to be sold to us," The shorter one said.
