Chapter 212
Third Person
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Ugh, not now it's just too early! Rian complained to the alarm clock on her table. Beep! Beep! Beep!
This annoying little creature won't give up. She tried to reach the clock but failed, which made her wake up and prepare for her interview . She ran to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Because she was not going to take any risk by arriving late for the interview.
Eight minutes was her first long record of taking a shower how ironic, right? After drying her hair, she applied minimum makeup to compliment her black sleeve pencil dress. She couldn't help but smile as she looked in the mirror.
"I just hope this day goes great and at least I won't be able to see that man ever again."
She chose to go with the black pumps. She left the house, satisfied with her choice and took a cab to Knight Enterprise.
"Ariana Anderson." She told the receptionist with a bright smile plastered on her face as she arrived at the building.
"Hmm nice to know and what are you doing here cause it is clear that you are lost." The receptionist looked at her with pure disgust.
"Well look here I don't like you and I wouldn't like to break your nose either so fix your tone and am not lost, I'm here for the interview."
"Well you don't stand a chance here but I would like to see you try to use the elevator and go to the 50th floor." The receptionist said as she rolled her eyes.
She was glad to have finally left that place before she murdered someone and pressed the button.
"She's so lucky I am in a good mood today and am in desperate need of this job." She mumbled to herself as she got into the elevator. She sighed as elevator doors closed on their way to the last floor. As soon as it opened she stepped out and couldn't help but admire the place. It was breathtaking; everything looked so beautiful and luxurious the black and gold complimented it all.
She couldn't help but look at her outfit. All the other applicants looked so breathtaking and her outfit was just so simple and plain. After waiting for an hour she saw a woman being dragged out of the CEOs office.
Every minute that passed her confidence was slowly fading and couldn't help but wonder if she was going to get the job.
"Miss Anderson, you can go in." The secretary informed her.
"Thank You." Finally, she knocked on the door.
"Come In" The cold and deadly voice ordered her.
Oh lord, please help me. She slowly opened the door and closed it softly. The room was so beautiful, she just stood there admiring the room and not the presence of the man who had his back facing her.
"Are you just going to stand or will you sit down and we start the interview?"
Oh my, does he have eyes at the back of his head or what. She said not knowing she was thinking out loud? She slowly approached him and sat down.
"I don't have eyes at the back of my head," Miss Anderson, he snapped at her, "Name."
"Ariana Anderson but my friends call me Rian or Ari. I know it will feel weird but you will get the hang of it sooner or later. Oh sorry, I'm talking too much aren't I?"
"I didn't ask for such unnecessary information. I don't care what your friends call you, why don't you tell me why I should hire you because you don't have any qualifications for this position."
Well, he's rude,"I know I don't have any qualifications to work here but trust me if you give me a chance I will put in all my best and I won't give you any chance to complain about me." I released a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Of course, I've heard that a lot of times but they still failed to do their job efficiently. I don't think I can trust you on that because you are unqualified for this job and don't belong here."
"Okay no need to get all worked up Mister. I know you had a bad day or whatever it is but I won't let you talk to me like that. I wouldn't love to break your nose so please be polite cause I'm trying and you are making it hard." She looked at him with a smile but her words seemed to shock him which he quickly masked up.
"You can leave," he looked at the woman with a smile plastered on her face as though she hadn't threatened him a while ago.
"Okay," She slowly got up and walked to the door but before she could open the door a voice stopped her.
"Don't go around threatening people, you might just land yourself in trouble."
"Of course," she rolled her eyes and left his building. As soon as she left she saw the friendly secretary.
"So how was the interview?" She looked at her with a small smile on her face.
"If I said your boss is a rude arrogant prick would you believe me? Because he is one."
"Well what can I say I'm used to it, that's the way he is so it's not surprising to hear that from you. I'm Cassie and you?"
"Ariana but you can call me Rian or Ari whichever you are comfortable with."
"Okay Rian I hope you are hired. I would love to work with you. It seems so full of life and fun it gets lonely here considering the others hate me because I get to be close to the most eligible bachelor."
"Well I don't know what they see because he's rude I better go before Mr rude finds me here. Bye Cassie."
When she got home she took a shower and went out for a stroll to relax herself.
