Chapter 51

Alice knew she had made a mistake the moment she broke the news to her. She knew she wouldn't take the news well. Sofia had never been the one to take bad news well. Just like when her father died it wasn't easy to calm down Sofia. She locked herself up in a room for three days without food nor water.

"Argh!" Sofia screamed as she tossed her table upside down.

"This can't be real! It can't be true! I hate you Ariana I hate you forever!" She yelled as she threw everything on her bed unto thee floor.

"Sofia stop acting like a kid and get out of that freaking room!" Alice said from the other side of the room.

Alice had just told her what had happened yesterday, the conversation between she and Ethan. At this moment Ethan was already proposing to Ariana. She might have said yes already.

"I'll kill her, I'll kill her with my bare hands!" Sofia said.

"Sofia please just listen to me before you do something reckless." Alice begged.

Sofia walked towards the door and opened it.

Alice stared at how her sister had become because of Ethan. Her makeup was ruined, her clothes were ruined from the glass of red vial she broke when she heard the news.

Alice held her sister in a tight hug before she collapsed on her neck and started to cry.

"Why do I have all this bad luck?" She cried.

"I'm not as ugly as Ariana but she still had everything I wanted. Why does she have to get everything that I want in the first place! I barely knew her, she was just a mere rat beneath the shadows. She wasn't even in the shadows to even start with! How did it all go wrong Alice?" She continued to cry to her elder sister.

"Why are you crying? Sofia, is it because of that boy? Sofia?" Alice rolled her eyes as she called her sister's name.

It actually felt familiar to her. She finally understood. The feeling was familiar, she would definitely do a lot or go to any extent to have Calhoun to herself.

The saying was right, when you had a taste of something forbidden you would want more from the forbidden item.

Ethan belonged to someone else but she still wanted him more.

"We could find out what to do before she says yes to him," Alice tried to calm.

"What kind of a girl would resist a proposal with a billionaire? Who?" Sofia asked rhetorically.

"Let's go to the place it might not be too late to stop it," Sofia said as she remembered.

She moved away from Alice and dragged her out of the room. Her car keys were still in her arms. She didn't care what she looked like all she wanted was to get there as fast as she could before it was to late —Before Ariana said yes.

Alice sat at the front seat besides Sofia, she begged Sofia to let her drive but She refused to listen. She insisted on driving herself.

Sofia started the engine as she drove out of the garage. She pressed the acceleration the moment they got to the main road.

She didn't care about the speed limit at the moment her only goal was to reach the venue as fast as she could.

With the help of her phone she was able to track Ethan. She had placed a tracker on both of their phone so she would be able to get their location at any time.

The blue dot that represented Ethan was moving, but Ariana's own was far apart from each other.

She pressed harder, at the rate she was going at a forty kilometers per hour. Alice held onto her seat belt and prayed for the worse to not happen.

The car stopped immediately they arrived in front of the hall.

The brutal stop had made the both of them but their heads hardly, but Sofia was blinded with rage she felt no pain.

She ran out of the car not waiting for Alice to follow.

She stopped when she saw the beautiful decorations that were placed for a bitch.

It made Sofia heart move hard in her chest, she couldn't have any of that, it wasn't going to be hers, it was going to be for that same girl she had been trying to erase from his life, Ariana.

Sofia felt Alice's presence behind her.

"They are gone," Sofia whispered as she slowly entered the hall.

"They are getting married now, my love life is over before it even started," she mumbled to herself.

"How do I stop the wedding before it happens how do I tell Ethan she was cheating on him, how do I tell him that I love him and Ariana is just a scam?" Sofia said to herself.

Alice could barely even make out what she was saying, but she could see how she walked into the hall with no hopes any more. She had already lost it. Everything she has worked for.

"She left me," Ethan voice said.

Sofia felt her heart skip a beat as she heard the voice of her lover. The person that got her thinking. The person whose wedding she was trying to stop.

Sofia turned to the corner and she found him sitting on the cold floor.

"Ethan..." She whispered before she approached him.

"Ethan why are you sitting on the floor?" Alice asked as she also approached him.

"She left me again, Sofia," he answered.

Sofia rushed to his side on the floor.

"I'm here," she reassured.

She took him and wrapped him in a warm hug.

Alice smiled to herself as she stared at the both of them on the floor.

Why couldn't they be together? Why was it so hard to get a relationship like this?

Ethan wrapped his hands around her as he stared into thin air.

"Take me home Sofia," he whispered to her and she smiled.

She smiled knowing she would have him tonight, he would be hers.

"Okay," she said before helped him up.
