Chapter 55

Sofia had woken up with a certain glow on her face, After all, she had Ethan to herself. She almost had everything she wanted. She almost had Ethan. She left his house Sunday in the afternoon. She only had one more thing to do, get Ariana out of the picture.

Sofia smiled to herself as she walked out of her room. Today was another Monday. In some way, she ended up liking Mondays. They always came with something new to it.

Today someone was definitely going to lose something, Alice had promised to take care of that but now she had the urge to go to work and see everything with her own eyes.

She checked the time on her phone, it was still eight in the morning. She still had time. She could make it to see her get defeated.

She walked back inside her house to get her hair done and shower. She had to look appealing for such an important day. Sofia ran her hands through her variety of clothes. Then her eye fell on the breath catcher outfits she got from her favorite designer.

The suede gown. It laid above her knees when she wore it and brought out the right shapes and curves. The outfit was gotten from the sexy CEO collection. It also came with a matching shoe and handbag. The outfit was worth it. It had slights by the sides and the V-neck revealed a lit more than expected. It was hard not to stare.

Today was finally the day to wear it.

After all, it was going to be the best thing that happened to her in this month of September.

In a matter of an hour, she was done with her dressing, she didn't have the time to spare to eat. She was in a rush. She made sure she looked everywhere and switched off all electrical outlets. She needed herself and her house to be one piece so she could come home and sleep peacefully after accomplishing her deeds.

Today she called her driver to drive her to work. She wasn't going to do any work today. The smell of the coffee that was made just two blocks away from her house made her ask the driver to stop the car.

"I want that coffee, get it for me and some snacks, also get some for yourself, I'm in a good mood today," Sofia said as she handed him a bill.

The driver went ahead and bought some of the coffee for himself and his boss.

It was just thirty minutes before she got to the office. The thrill sent goosebumps onto her skin. She rushed to Alice's office. She just couldn't wait any longer.

"Hey sis," She called as she entered her office. She didn't even bother to glance nor greet Lisa at the front desk.

"Hey, I thought you said you were too tired to come?" Alice asked surprised to see her there.

"I just couldn't miss the expression on her face when she sees it. The tension was killing me," Sofia said.

"Well she has not yet arrived, she is late as usual. She actually called and she would be late, claiming something came up she was sorry, blah blah blah. Excuses upon Excuses. If only she knew she won't bother resuming," Alice said as she continued what she did on her laptop

Sofia waited for Ariana to arrive so she could personally give it to her. It was going to be epic. Sofia hoped she ended up on the Streets

First, she was going to tell her how her night with Ethan went. He was at his weakest he needed someone to be with him.

Yet again his lover had broken his heart, this time she shattered it a hundred times. She foolishly refused to marry a precious stone like Ethan.

He was everything a girl could want. He had the looks, the money, the time, and the attitude. Who wouldn't want someone like him?

Ethan was devastated, He kept on mumbling about how he tried to get her. How he begged her. He only told her he would help her unless he married her. How was that much of a bad thing, he considered it trade by barter. But at some point her conscience hit her. It was almost as if she was trading herself for money.

But that wasn't much of her Business, she had Ethan to herself for what she cared. That's the only thing she earned out of all the drama she had Ethan. He said the sweetest things to her.

He said she was beautiful, He considered her prettier than Ariana, he claimed if all girls were like her the world would have been a better place. Sofia knew very well that all those were just sweet words he didn't really mean any of that, She was smart enough. But still, she enjoyed it while he lasted.

She smiled to herself as she thought if what happened on Saturday night.

"Sofia why can't she be like you?" He said as she held her in a tight hug.

"Everyone cannot have the same character and manner, remember we are all different," Sofia said as she patted his back.

He pulled away from her and he stared at her face.

"You are beautiful," He said.

"Thank you" She appreciated before she smiled.

Sofia could barely even remember how it happened but she found herself on the bed with him inside her.

It was a memory she could never erase.

She even had the fear that the next morning he was going to send her away. But it was different, he didn't send her out of her house like a dog. Instead, he kissed her on the forehead before he went for a run.

There was definitely one thing Sofia hoped for, She wanted that kind of relationship they shared to last long. She wanted to be with Ethan forever.

Sofia heard her voice from the corridor and she smiled to herself.

Ariana placed a soft knock on the office before she came in.
