A few days later, at Lu Enterprises.

Luo Xiaoxi was rarely at the headquarters of Lu Enterprises, because of her job.

Ever since Su Yicheng proposed, she was more energetic than ever. And her charisma on stage was irresistible. Quoting from Shen Yuechuan, "Luo Xiaoxi is blossoming in the business at an utterly tremendous speed."

The car stopped in front of Lu Enterprises, but Luo Xiaoxi didn't get off. She asked her manager, laid back, "Candy, who's the owner of Lu Enterprises?"

"Why do you ask that?" Candy gave Luo Xiaoxi with a strange look. "It's our Boss Lu, of course."

"It's me now." Luo Xiaoxi put on her sunglasses and opened the car door. Wearing a 10cm high heels, she got off gracefully, "I am your boss, Boss Lu's sister-in-law now."

Finishing work, Luo Xiaoxi and Candy left the office.

Candy quipped, "Why don't you go up and talk to your brother-in-law?"

To be precise, she saw Lu Boyan helping a woman, walking out of the company.

Luo Xiaoxi took down her sunglasses and lowered the window. Lu Boyan was getting closer, holding that woman. The woman frowned, seemingly in pain and sick. Lu Boyan was holding her up, and there was a young girl following them, looking anxious.

"Xiao Zheng, don't start the car yet." Luo Xiaoxi stared outside. "I want to see who that bitch is."

Lu Boyan carried the woman to the parking lot quickly. Before the woman got in the car, she said something to Lu Boyan. But they weren't behaving intimately. After she left, Lu Boyan went back to the office.

Candy was there, witnessing the whole scene. "Mrs. Lu is pregnant now, right?", she said playfully.

"What do you mean by that?" Luo Xiaoxi gazed at Candy. "Jianan is 4 months pregnant now."

"Well, I've heard that when the wives are pregnant, a lot of men would…" Candy spoke slowly, deliberately. But it was obvious where she was heading to.

"Lu Boyan is not that kind of person!" Luo Xiaoxi said convincingly, "That woman could have been his friend or an important business partner. She felt sick and he helped her. A gentleman's gesture. If Lu Boyan cheated, there would be not one good man in this world."

"But they seemed more than just partners." Candy asked, "Do you want to alert Mrs. Lu?"

"Why alert her?" Luo Xiaoxi said, "If there is nothing between Lu Boyan and that woman, I would be the one who makes the whole thing more complicated."

At the time, Luo Xiaoxi trusted Lu Boyan very much. But at night, she saw Lu Boyan was with that woman in the clubhouse.

She was on a show with the models who debuted with her at the same period. It went swimmingly. The organizer invited them to the club for a celebration, where she happened to see Lu Boyan walking into the private room with that woman.

Candy saw it, and touched Luo Xiaoxi's hand. "What are you gonna do?"

Given to Luo Xiaoxi's bad temper, Candy thought that she would definitely rush into the room and confront them.

Unexpectedly, Luo Xiaoxi seemed calm. "Candy, I'll give you half an hour. Can you get me the information of that woman?"

Candy asked a colleague working in the company's headquarters for a bit, and found the information of Xia Mili.

Luo Xiaoxi glanced it over and got several key pieces of information.

First, Lu Boyan and Xia Mili were in the same college, and they seemed to have a thing back then.

Second, after graduating, she married and got a green card. She stayed in the United States for work. Currently, she returned as the representative of her company to ask Lu Boyan for cooperation.

Third, Xia Mili had divorced before she returned.

Luo Xiaoxi thought of the way Xia Mili leaned on Lu Boyan that morning. She had a bad feeling, "Would it be possible that this woman hasn't been over Lu Boyan and is trying to steal him?"

Luo Xiaoxi tipped the waiter and asked him to tell her as soon as he saw Lu Boyan and Xia Milli coming out.

During the celebration, Luo Xiaoxi was absent-minded. She replied slowly to the message that was sent by Su Yicheng. Su Yicheng thought that she was having a great time and only said that he would go later to pick her up.

At around eleven o'clock, the waiter called Luo Xiaoxi out and told her that Lu Boyan and Xia Milli had come out.

Luo Xiaoxi scanned the empty corridor. "Where are they?"

The waiter pointed downstairs and said, "They took the elevator."

Luo Xiaoxi swore and took another elevator to chase them. She made it to the entrance of the club and saw Lu Boyan was getting on the car, leaving with that woman.

She stopped a taxi and asked the driver to keep up with their car.

She followed them and arrived at the front door of a five stars hotel which was under the Lu Enterprises. Luo Xiaoxi lowered the window of the taxi, seeing that Lu Boyan was carrying that woman into the hotel.

She thought, "Maybe Xia Mili is staying in this hotel. And it's nothing weird for an old classmate to send a lady back to her hotel after the reunion party."

But it had been half an hour since Lu Boyan had gone in.

It was late at night. Luo Xiaoxi couldn't lie to herself by saying that Lu Boyan had sent Xia Mili back to the hotel. Xia Mili had invited him for a coffee out of courtesy and Lu Boyan said yes out of courtesy as well.

In the middle of the confusion, Su Yicheng called, and Luo Xiaoxi answered absent-minded, "Hello?"

"You finished?" Su Yicheng's voice was penetrating, coming through from the phone in that windy night. "I'm at the entrance of the club."

"Hmm, I left the club." Luo Xiaoxi made up an excuse, saying, "My friend was drunk. I sent her back to the hospital, now I am in front of the hotel."

"Which hotel?" Su Yicheng asked, "Tell me the address."

Luo Xiaoxi told Su Yicheng the name of the hotel, and got off her car, waiting for Su Yicheng. Lu Boyan didn't come out while she was waiting. And she was struggling whether to tell Su Jianan or not.

Ten minutes later, Su Yicheng's car stopped in front of Luo Xiaoxi.

Su Yicheng got off the car and Luo Xiaoxi slightly looked up, staring at him through the street light. Her eyes were filled with doubts and confusion when she saw him, wondering what man he was exactly.

It was the first time Su Yicheng saw Luo Xiaoxi gaze at him that way. "What's wrong?"

Luo Xiaoxi smiled, "I've drunk too much. It was a little bit unbelievable that you came."

Su Yicheng held Luo Xiaoxi's face and kissed her. He kissed her thoroughly, neither too fast nor too slow. Their silhouettes were shrouded by the lights. A good-looking guy and a stylish woman; the picture of them was surely pleasing.

After a while, Su Yicheng let go of Luo Xiaoxi. "Can you believe it now??"

"…" Luo Xiaoxi silently threw herself into Su Yicheng's arms.

Su Yicheng knew Luo Xiaoxi too well. He immediately noticed something wrong from her acts, and patted her head. "What happened?"

"Nothing." Luo Xiaoxi wrapped her arms around Su Yicheng and shook her head slightly. "I was a bit nervous because of the show last night. Now I feel tired."

Su Yicheng held Luo Xiaoxi with his arm and led her into the car. "You can have some rest as soon as you get home."

After they left, not too long after did Lu Boyan come out of the hotel. He changed and seemed refreshed, in contrast to the late night.

Lu Boyan told the driver the minute he got in the car, "Hurry up."

The driver drove the car to its fastest speed along the way. Still, when he returned to Dingya Villas, it was nearly two in the morning.

Lu Boyan opened the door of the bedroom, walked to the bed, and looked at Su Jianan, who was curled up in the blanket. Her sleeping face was immersed in the faint light. She breathed lightly; obviously, she was in a sweet dream.

He changed into his night wear and lay down gently next to Su Jianan.

Ever since she became pregnant, Su Jianan couldn't sleep well if Lu Boyan didn't come back. Even though Lu Boyan had moved slowly and had been quiet, he still woke her up. "Barely back?"

Lu Boyan answered, "Yeah", and hugged Su Jianan, trying to coax her back to sleep. But then, she suddenly looked at him strangely. "You came back after taking a bath again."

Lu Boyan only said half of the truth, "I was in the clubhouse meeting clients."

Su Jianan smiled. "You must be tired."

She glanced at the electronic clock on her night stand that said two in the morning. She yawned and fell asleep again in the blink of an eye.

Lu Boyan stared at her sleeping face for a while, then closed his eyes.

The next day, at Su Yicheng's house.

After getting back home, Su Yicheng didn't forget Luo Xiaoxi's abnormality the previous day. He got up early in the morning and kept an eye on her secretly; he found out that she was hiding something. Otherwise, she wouldn't have that tangled expression so frequently.

When eating breakfast, he just straightforwardly asked Luo Xiaoxi what was wrong with her and who had to do with it.

Luo Xiaoxi did not expect that her secret had been noticed by Su Yicheng. But since it was so, it would be better to pick his brain.

She told him the whole incident and said, "I don't want to believe that Lu Boyan is that kind of person, but yesterday he stayed in the hotel… for a really long time."

Su Yicheng put down his cutlery, and frowned deeply. "I will look into this matter. You go see Jianan after work and see if Boyan has been acting weird recently."

"If…" Luo Xiaoxi was reluctant to make the assumption.

"It's unlikely," Su Yicheng said, "I look into it just to make sure. But It's unlikely that Bo Yan would cheat."

"I certainly hope so." Luo Xiaoxi poked at the omelette on the plate. "I told Candy yesterday that if Lu Boyan really cheated, there would be no good men left in the world."

Su Yicheng swept her over with a cold gaze. Luo Xiaoxi was stunned and quickly added, "Of course, there are good husbands in this world, like you!"

Su Yicheng was pleased. "Hurry up. I will send you to your work."

As soon as Luo Xiaoxi finished her job, she called Su Jianan. "I'm going to your place."

"With my brother?" Su Jianan asked.

"He has meeting at night so I'm coming alone." Luo Xiaoxi was excited. "Prepare some food for me and wait."
