"Welcome, Neville."The moon goddess welcomed the young man that made the statement.

He bowed slightly and a chair, similar to that of ours, provided itself and he sat down. I was both awed by the man's statement and the strange place we are. It's like the place has life.

I muttered a welcome to him, he is cruelly handsome with a hard expression on his face, his first statement unsettled me, and I wish to ask questions but I decided to relax and let things flow naturally.

The moon goddess met my gaze and smiled in approval of my thoughts. 'Ok, that's it. It's confirmed, the moon goddess is reading my thoughts' that explains why she could understand me without me saying anything.

"This is Neville, he's eternal."The moon goddess introduced the man sitting.

"I thought they left this planet?"I asked, arching an eyebrow.

"We did, but not all of us."He stated.

I cooed an ohhh, and welcomed him, burning to ask him questions concerning what he said about my pack.

"I'm sorry about your parent's sudden death."He consoled me, and I could feel a hint of pity in his hoarse voice.

"Thank you,"I muttered, trying my best to keep my tears from falling.

"The Eternals are the protector of the earth from certain demons, they've lived on earth for millions of years trying to maintain stability and peace, and they have no business in our kingdom. But one of their own was found dead and they suspect Deborah to be the brain behind it. They don't want to disrupt the peace of the wolf kingdom and hence they approach me and I promise to give them justice" the moon goddess explained to me.

I am plagued into great confusion, what are these people talking about? Which Deborah? Is it Erik's mother?

"Yes, Erik's mother," Neville answered the questions she asked herself.

She looked at the moon goddess, and she smiled, "Neville here has the power to read thoughts."She explained.

"You have to be kidding me, how can you two be picking on my thoughts? I have no problem with you goddess but Mr. Neville, stay off my head."I warned, getting annoyed that he was reading my thoughts. What guts!

"Pardon me. My bad, I'm just used to such behavior."He said, apologizing.

I smiled a thank you to him, and asked."how can Ms. Deborah kill an eternal?"

There was confusion in my eyes and tons of questions to ask these supernatural beings.

"Deborah is a scarlet witch and she's millions of years old. You might hear from history about how the scarlet witches are sworn enemies of the wolves but all that changed when your great-grandfather became the alpha. With great difficulty, the scarlet witches and the wolves began to live in harmony but things went wrong when discoveries were made that the witches are using werewolves' blood to enhance their powers and prolong their life span." The moon goddess explained and my mouth fell agape.

I'm not in shock because scarlet witches and wolves were once enemies and then friends, then enemies again, my dad had told me the story countless times and the libraries in the palace are filled with historical events of the past.

It's just so unfathomable that my pack wolves were being used for some insane rituals.

The scarlet witches were banished from our kingdom after the discovery, the ones that stayed were considered worthy. How did all these happen right under my nose in my past life and I couldn't see it? I began to get infuriated with myself again.

"Don't be hard on yourself, Arya. Some things are never meant to be known, you were too naive, gullible and most importantly, you were in love with Erik. As a woman in love, even if you found out anything about your husband, you wouldn't have taken it seriously. I want you to relax. You have a second chance to make them pay." The moon goddess explained to me and her last sentence delighted me.

"What am I to do, goddess? I feel like I've failed woefully already in my second rebirth, I couldn't even spend more time with my family despite the knowledge that they were going to die. I'm not such a good daughter."I lamented.

"Avery, stop being so hard on yourself. No one is beyond mistakes, the important thing is that we should learn from our mistakes and learn to live with them."Neville said calmly.

"I don't wish to make any more drastic mistakes. I was a bad Luna in my past life, I handed the leadership of my pack to a conceited jerk! A no good, but this time, things would be different. I'm no longer the gullible and naive Avery who was killed without a second thought. This is a new Avery, the one that contrasts directly with the old one, I'll make those hypocrites pay for their deeds." I swore.

"That's what I love to hear, a bold and fierce Luna, and not someone who blames herself for something that's clearly not her fault. You need to be strong and bold, you have a very important mission ahead of you and you need to be strong to achieve your goals."The goddess commended me, as I displayed my boldness.

I'm still scared, but my fears won't trample in the way of my revenge. I'll exact my revenge and derive pure satisfaction from it. I'll spare no one who dares betray me, even if it's my step-sister.

"I'll have defeated Deborah and ended her reign but you plead to me to give you a second life, when you were at the brink of death, to live, and destroy those scavengers. I know all these are new and foreign to you but you're the right person to bring Erik and his mother's evil reign to extinction." the moon goddess explained.

"We the Eternals would provide you with any help you need, Deborah is becoming a threat to our existence and we have to bring an end to her soon before she becomes stronger and unstoppable," Neville said and I looked at him with gratitude in my eyes.

"My goddess, I still can't get the hang of my newly found powers, I can't seem to control it or summon it at will, "I complained to the goddess, thinking of how I created a little disaster.

The moon goddess smiled and excused herself to talk to Neville.

'Little, you say? You made our mate a floating mass in the air' Kira chipped in.

'No! That was a mistake,' I corrected, smiling at the image of Xander suspended in the air.

'Oh please, stop that sheepish smile, it doesn't look good on your puffy eyes' she scowled.

'Look, Kira........ I know you're upset with me about my decision not to declare him as our mate yet, but it's for the better good' I told her, I know she's eager to form a bond with our mate, but we have to take it slow.

'Uhuh... I know, but just let me take control just once when we're with him, think of all the unknown pleasure we could seek' she suggested, getting excited.

'Oh Kira, duty comes first. If I allow you to control me, I'll be on top of him riding him to ecstasy, I might even end up getting marked and I'm sure you know how dangerous that means to our mission

'Speak for yourself, I see no danger in being with our mate, stubborn-headed vixen' she said and made a growling sound.

'I speak for us all, you hot-headed vixen'

She didn't say a word again.

'Kira' I called.

Silence

'Kira'

Silence.

'Coward, scary wolf'

She made a growling sound and huffed me.

'Let's have it your way for now, but I'll have it my way soon' she finally replied.

I smiled lazily 'we'll be fine Kira, just go with my flow'

'Your flow is boring and zero fun, plus zero excitement'

I had a hearty chuckle for the first time since my paparents'eath, 'oh lovely Kira, what will I be without you? I asked, knowing what her answer would be.

'Dead!' We both said in unison, and I could feel her make a little howl.

"If you're done with your chit-chat, can we continue?"The moon goddess said and I looked up abruptly.

How long has she been there?

"Not for long, and don't worry,your secrets are saved with me."She said as they both took their seats.

I could feel my cheeks burning red with embarrassment. I'll deal with this lalaterKira has to be mindful of her dirty talk, she's corrupting me.

'Says the corruption, herself' Kira muttered and I choose to ignore her for now, just for now.

"I know you're quite surprised about your newly found powers,I gave you those powers because you're up against something powerful."The goddess explained to me, and I nodded.

"Before we talk more about your powers and how you should use them, I want to tell you something important about this mission." The moon goddess added,and this statement alerted my senses and brought me to full attention.
