"Oh, I know about that case. Actually, I watched it 'live' last night," Rika said.
"Eh? Really?" Frey responded instinctively.
Rika shifted her position, rolling from her side onto her back. She looked up at her brother from below.
"Yes, it’s true," Rika answered shortly, a strange smile playing on her lips.
"When the live stream started, the viewers just laughed at them. They thought the girls were lying. But the mood changed when they brought out a small chainsaw and a metal bucket filled with a highly corrosive liquid. They even dripped some on a wooden table to prove it was real, and the wood melted instantly. The last thing they showed was a razor-sharp knife."
Frey listened intently to his sister’s explanation. Rika looked genuinely happy as she told the story. Both of them knew that those three girls were the ones who bullied Rika. Frey hated them for hurting his sister, so he let her continue.
"At the start of the video, CR stood still with her arms spread wide. DN picked up the chainsaw and began to cut off CR's left arm. It was brutal. Blood sprayed everywhere, and in just five seconds, the arm was gone. CR was trembling and crying, but she stayed standing. Then, PN took the blood-stained saw and started cutting CR's right arm. CR screamed in agony and even vomited blood. The viewers went wild. The audience count jumped from dozens to thousands in an instant."
Frey frowned, feeling confused, but he didn't look away.
"CR kept crying and begging for forgiveness. Strangely, she didn't faint. PN then locked the chainsaw's trigger so it would stay running and placed it on the floor with the blade facing upward. CR looked terrified, as if she were being forced by something invisible, but she stepped forward. She sat over the blade. Right there, in front of the camera and thousands of people, CR sawed through her own head until it split open. Blood and brain matter scattered across the floor. Once CR was dead, PN took the camera and pointed it at herself."
Frey swallowed hard, the gruesome images forming in his mind.
"PN looked at the camera and sobbed. You could see the pure terror in her eyes. She set the camera down to get a clear shot of herself and sat on a wooden chair. She wouldn't stop apologizing. While she sat there, DN stood on a stool and began pouring the corrosive liquid over PN’s head. PN shrieked, begging for it to stop. The weird part was that she didn't move. She just sat there, frozen on the chair, even though she wasn't tied down. She just screamed as her scalp began to melt and turn into liquid. The viewers saw her skull turn white and clean. The screaming didn't stop until her skull itself began to dissolve. It took fifteen seconds for the bone to melt, and the stream went silent. For the next two minutes, everyone watched as her entire body slowly turned into a puddle along with the chair. It became a brownish-red liquid on the floor. It was incredibly foul-smelling."
Frey blinked several times, trying to process the horror. After a moment, he stroked Rika’s head and asked a strange question.
"Smelling? Could you smell it?" Frey asked, his gaze filled with curiosity.
Rika smiled and answered casually,
"Yes. I could smell it directly."
Frey fell silent, confused by her answer. Before he could think too much about it, Rika continued.
"Then, DN took the camera and sat on a table, facing it. She held the sharp knife and turned on a clothes iron to its highest heat. She began to cut off her left fingers, joint by joint. Every time she cut a finger off, she pressed the wound against the hot iron to sear the flesh and stop the bleeding so she wouldn't faint. It was horrifying, but she did it without her hands shaking even once. She kept going until every finger was gone. Then, she started on her left arm. After that... she stuck out her tongue, pressed it against the iron until it sizzled and stuck, and then she sliced her own tongue off. Finally, she gouged out her eyes with the knife. The brutality ended when she plunged the knife into her chest and sliced downward. Miraculously, she was still conscious. She reached into the open wound, pulled out her own heart, and died instantly."
Frey sat in silence, his emotions a complete mess. He could imagine the brutality perfectly. But deep down, he felt something else. He felt... relieved. He was glad the people who hurt his sister were gone and had faced such a terrible end.
"Brother?" Rika called out, touching his cheek.
"What is it? I'm sorry if I talked about something disgusting. I didn't mean to give you bad thoughts," Rika said, looking worried that she had made him uncomfortable.
Frey held Rika’s hand against his cheek and smiled at her.
"It’s okay. I just feel... happy. Now that they are gone, no one will bully you anymore. They got exactly what they deserved," Frey said warmly. He spoke from his heart, following his protective instincts.
Rika’s face turned bright red. She quickly turned away, covering her face with her hands.
"AAAAAAHHH! I can't believe it! After hearing all that, the first thing he says is how much he cares about me!" Rika screamed internally, overwhelmed with joy.
"Eh? Rika?" Frey asked, confused by her sudden reaction.
"Brother! I love you!" Rika shouted as she sat up and threw her arms around him. Frey was surprised at first, but he slowly hugged her back.
"I love you too," Frey whispered gently. Rika’s breath grew heavy with happiness.
"I had all these lies ready in case he felt sad, disgusted, or angry. I never expected him to be happy for me," Rika thought.
"Brother! Brother! Brother!" Rika kept calling happily.
Frey didn't know why she was so excited, but he didn't care. As long as she was happy, he was happy.
Time passed quickly, and soon it was almost 2:00 PM. Frey, feeling exhausted, patted Rika’s head while she played a game on her phone.
"Rika, I’m going to take a nap, okay?" Frey said, heading to his room.
"Okay, Brother," Rika replied casually.
Frey fell asleep. Forty-five minutes later, he was woken up by a knock on his door.
"Brother, someone is at the front door looking for you," Rika’s voice came from the other side.
"Ugh... yeah, give me a second," Frey groaned, sitting up with a slight headache.
He opened the door and saw Rika leaning against the wall, calmly licking an ice cream cone. Seeing how cute she looked enjoying the snacks he had bought for her, Frey smiled and rubbed her head so hard it messed up her hair.
"Hey! What was that for?" Rika pouted, though she didn't move away from his hand.
"Nothing. I’m just happy to have such a cute sister," Frey teased.
Rika’s face flushed red again. She pushed him toward the living room.
"Whatever! Just go talk to your friend!"
"Haha, okay, okay." Frey let himself be pushed. Rika retreated into her room and slammed the door shut. Frey just smiled at her antics.
As Frey walked to the front door, Rika’s room, which should have been pitch black. Was suddenly filled with a brilliant blue light.
The light came from hundreds, even thousands, of magic circles carved into the floor and walls. Rika snapped her fingers, and a chair rolled toward her. She sat down, and the chair moved itself to the center of the room. She leaned her chin on her hand as holographic frames began to appear in the air. First three, then nine, then hundreds within seconds.
The frames contained detailed profiles and photos of people.
"Now, where was I?" Rika muttered, waving her fingers. The holograms swirled around her like a storm. "Ah, right. Plan one: healing my brother’s handsome face without making him suspicious, and making sure I don't have to act like a cripple in front of him anymore."
She flicked her wrist, and the holograms vanished, leaving only five in front of her. She picked one, and the others disappeared.
Rika read the file. It was a man with multiple PhDs and a title as a Professor and Doctor of Medicine (MD)—the highest level for a surgeon. His research was the foundation for modern medical technology.
"I choose you," Rika said. The hologram shrank into a small ball in her hand, and she crushed it. She went back to licking her ice cream.
Suddenly, three more screens appeared. One showed the doctor’s entire life journey. The second showed his family, friends, and skills. The third was a detailed map of his routine.
Meanwhile, Frey was outside sitting with his friend. It was Fin, his coworker from the restaurant. Fin was one of the few people who treated Frey like a normal person, ignoring his scars.
After some small talk, Fin got to the point.
"Hey," Fin said.
"What's up?"
"So, Frey, a few of us are planning to hang out tomorrow. You can come, right? It's still a holiday."
Frey took a deep breath. "I don't know, man. I was planning to take an extra shift collecting trash for some neighbors. I need to save up in case my sister needs anything."
"Come on, let Toji take your shift. He’d be happy for the extra cash. It’s rare for us to have a day off together. Let’s go out."
Frey scratched his head, looking conflicted. Finally, he sighed and agreed. Fin was thrilled. They played games together for an hour before Fin headed home. Rika, who had been watching the whole conversation through her magic, stretched her arms.
"Well, if he's going out with that idiot Fin, I don't have to worry. It’s good for him too. He can stop working for a bit and have some fun," Rika said.
Rika created a table out of shadows. She began to draw a complex magic circle, tinkered with it for hours. After nearly three hours, she finished. She had created a new spell specifically designed for this world.
It was late at night. Knowing her brother was fast asleep, Rika didn't hesitate. She activated the magic circle and floated out of the house. In mid-air, she stepped into the portal she'a opened, and was instantly teleported to Europe.
Her first plan had begun.

Q: Is it normal for Frey didn't even flinch when he hears about these gore?
A : the reaction would be "human" if Frey were mentally “normal.” and Frey isn't
What he carries was a trauma. Trauma from guilt, trauma from fear, and trauma from having already crossed a line he can never uncross. He himself, killed both his parents, and make her sister life in hell for four years (including his life too, because he need to do all of the hard work)
With his own hand stained by his own parents blood, and seeing his only person to treasure living in hell. He's got the "I don't care what happened to you, I only care that one of the part that make my sisters life like hell, now gone."
For Frey, Rika is his only sanctuary, the last reason he believes his life still has meaning. That’s why her safety was the one Frey care about.
At least, it was what he believe when they are still living like hell (Rika still got bullied, and Frey was always working hard to just get nothing)
But in the future when Everythings better, did he still gonna have the same feeling?
