1027 Ginseng Wine



The doctor did not know how to face Xia Wen. Any other ordinary person in Xia Mao's condition would not have been able to hold on for so long. They made sure that they would not miss out on the golden window for emergency treatment.

"He's still conscious. If you talk to him, he might be able to hear you," the doctor whispered.

Qiao Mei hurriedly walked forward to check on Xia Mao. The originally high-spirited and energetic person was now lying on the hospital bed. Xia Mao was as fragile as a piece of paper at the moment. It was hard to imagine that a person could lose so much weight in such a short period of time. Xia Mao was unable to eat at all and was being kept alive by the intravenous drips. The moment he was disconnected from the drips and oxygen, he would die immediately.

Qiao Mei did not wait for the doctor to finish speaking. She quickly returned to the room and opened her bag to take out the medicinal wine. This medicinal wine was not much different from the usual 1,000-year-old ginseng juice. If she put a drop or two in a glass, it would look dark green. However, inside the bottle, the liquid looked like ink and it was impossible for anyone to be able to tell what it was.

Ordinary people would not be able to see the luster of this ginseng. Only Qiao Mei could see the golden sheen on it.

Xia Mao could never have imagined that the reason for him surviving for so many days was because of the few drops of 1,000-year-old ginseng juice. Qiao Mei thought for a moment and said, "Uh… this is a remedy from my hometown. This is wine made with ginseng and it's very useful for treating illnesses and saving lives."
