1147 Good News
Tan Jing was sunbathing in the courtyard. Cheng Gu had recently built a canopy for her and she rested under it every day while looking forward to his visit. This canopy faced the path which he must take whenever he came to her place. As soon as he appeared, she would be able to run out and greet him immediately.

She used to feel sorry for herself and felt that Xia Wen did not love her as much as before, that there would not be any more romantic and sweet couple moments between them and that she would just be living here alone for the rest of her life.

However, after meeting Cheng Gu, new hope had ignited in her heart.

 

Cheng Gu was like a ray of light in her barren existence, bringing some color into her life and making a withered flower like her bloom again. However, ever since she told him about Qiao Mei’s daily habits the other day, he had not come back again. She did not know what had happened.
It was possible that Cheng Gu was busy carrying out their plan. Ever since that day when they decided to hire someone to attack Qiao Mei, her heart had been in turmoil. She kept feeling that something big was about to happen and she felt both excited and afraid.

What if Cheng Gu failed and all the clues led the investigators to her in the end? Also, what would happen to Cheng Gu?

Just as Tan Jing was thinking about all these things, she suddenly heard someone calling her from outside the door.

“Elder sister! I’m here to see you!” Cheng Gu walked in happily, carrying many new gifts for Tan Jing.

Tan Jing swallowed nervously and quickly pulled Cheng Gu into the house. She closed the door and windows tightly and looked at him expectantly.

“Qiao Mei is dead! Elder sister, are you happy! Oh my, I also didn’t expect the plan to succeed so fast. I thought it would fail, but it actually succeeded! I don’t think that woman is that smart after all,” Cheng Gu said happily.

Tan Jing fell to the floor out of shock and looked at Cheng Gu in a daze.

Qiao Mei was dead… Qiao Mei was actually dead! That most hateful Qiao Mei. That woman was really dead!

“Are you really sure she’s dead? Is she really dead?” Tan Jing asked nervously.

“The person who attacked her was sent by me and I even asked someone to go to the hospital to take a look. The person waited for one day and one night! She has already died in the hospital and my subordinate has seen her corpse. It can’t be false. That face belongs to Qiao Mei!” Cheng Gu said proudly.

Tan Jing suddenly burst out laughing so hard that she almost could not breathe. Qiao Mei was really dead! Qiao Mei no longer existed in the Xia family! Everyone in the Xia family would like her again! She could do whatever she wanted and Xia Wen would come back to her. Everyone in the Xia family would have to worship her!

There were also the children… Oh right! The children! Were the children still alive? She was still counting on using Qiao Mei’s children to turn her life around!

“Cheng Gu! Did the babies die with Qiao Mei? Where are the children?” Tan Jing struggled to get up from the floor and asked as she held Cheng Gu’s shoulders with both hands.

“I hear that the children are not in a very good state, but they’re still alive. As long as they are well taken care of, there should not be any problem in the future,” Cheng Gu said with a smile.

Tan Jing danced around happily, only short of setting off firecrackers in the courtyard to celebrate. She must have a drink with Cheng Gu on such a good day!

She took out the wine which Qiao Mei had given to Xia Wen back then. Xia Wen had hidden this wine away like it was a treasure and did not even want to show it to her. She would drink it all up today! She wanted to destroy everything that was related to Qiao Mei!

“Come! I’ll personally cook something delicious for you today! Let’s drink this bottle of wine today!” Tan Jing said excitedly.

Tan Jing made a total of eight dishes! Even when she and Xia Wen celebrated at home previously, it had never been as grand as this.
