Zhong Ye turned to look at Zhong Wan and said tactfully, “We hear that Xia Zhe is back, so I’m here to see him. I haven’t seen him since he joined the army unit. I’m here today to catch up.”

Zhong Wan pouted unhappily and said, “Then can’t you give him a call and ask him to come back?”

Zhong Ye immediately pulled a long face and left the Xia family residence without looking back. Zhong Wan’s movements were hampered by her heavy gown, but no matter how she called out to Zhong Ye, it was to no avail. She could only lift the hem of her dress herself and walked slowly to the Zhong family’s car before leaving dejectedly.
Xu Lan and Luo Yu looked at the departing Zhong Ye and laughed mockingly. They then turned around and returned into the house. These people really could not withstand any provocation at all. The Zhong family could not sit still the moment they mentioned this matter.
