“It’s fortunate that you were not around! I can tell that Tan Yue has improper feelings for you. As soon as she entered the room, she kept looking around for you. She was so disappointed when she didn’t see you and she looked at me as if she wanted to eat me up,” Qiao Mei said as she pretended to be angry.

“Really? I don’t know anything about that…” Xia Zhe said, feeling perplexed.

Xia Zhe indeed did not know much about this matter, but Xu Lan knew it very well. In fact, she was the one who had dealt with it!

It happened during the time when Xia Wen and Tan Jing got married. Xia Zhe had taken leave and returned home from the army. At the wedding ceremony, Tan Yue had immediately noticed Xia Zhe, who was the groom’s best man.

Xia Zhe hurriedly went forward to hug Qiao Mei and said, “My dear wife~ Please forgive me. I’ll wear a mask whenever I have to meet people in the future! I definitely won’t let any woman fall for me!”

“Hmph,” Qiao Mei said daintily. She did not sound intimidating at all.

Jiang Yi definitely felt indignant to be chased away like this. Along the way, she kept cursing the Xia family and the two children. Tan Yue walked beside her, carrying all the things and did not say a word, afraid that Jiang Yi would turn abusive if she said something wrong.

Tan Hu and Tan Bao were currently at home discussing with Tan Bo on how to split the “divine medicine” among them!

Tan Hu had his own house which had enough space for his small family to live in. However, it was different for Tan Bao. He had three children! Moreover, two of them were boys. Life would only get tougher when it was time for them to get married, so he must get a bigger share of the money!

“These are matters which you guys should discuss among yourselves. I don’t care about such things,” Tan Bo said vaguely. He was not a fool and knew very well what these children were up to.

“Dad, you have to help me! Your two eldest grandsons are in my family! You can’t just look on if they can’t afford to get married! I can’t keep staying in the storeroom at home. You have to help me out!” Tan Bao cried out.

Tan Hu was unhappy when he heard this. They were both sons of the Tan family, so why should Tan Bao ask for more? If so, then he would behave like Tan Bao!

“Younger brother, what you just said is not right. It’s not our parents’ fault that you don’t have a house. Back when you got married, our parents also bought you a house. Didn’t you use it to fund your extramarital affair? Why are you lamenting here now?” Tan Hu said mockingly.
