Xia Wen did not show any emotions. The corners of his mouth remained curled up, as if he did not take anything which Shao Yin said to heart.

“I’m divorced,” Xia Wen said in a gentle manner. With that, he carried Xia Xing back into the room.

Only then did Shao Yin realize that she had said something wrong. She just thought that every man here was either married or attached. Moreover, before she came, Xia Xing had told her that his eldest uncle’s three children were all married. He had never mentioned anything about any of them being divorced. She had thought that Xia Wen’s wife was not here because she was preoccupied.

“I didn’t do it on purpose…” Shao Yin whispered.

“It’s fine. This is something that we don’t even know about. Your eldest uncle and eldest aunt-in-law won’t blame you. Xiao Wen probably doesn’t want to make a big fuss about it as well.
