“Qiao Mei! Qiao Mei! Something’s wrong! Something bad has happened!” Zhou Shuang said as she ran panting into the courtyard.

“Oh, Xia Zhe is at home too! Both of you should hurry over to our place to take a look. We caught Huang Xu’s wife stealing, but she won’t admit to it no matter what! I want to talk to you first and see if we can resolve it in private. If not, then we’ll have to call the police,” Zhou Shuang said.
Qiao Mei knew what Zhou Shuang meant by saying that. She was trying to protect the couple’s reputation. She patted Xia Zhe’s hand and he understood what she meant. He put away the stool under Qiao Mei’s feet and moved the two small side tables to one side. After everything was cleared away, Zhou Shuang realized that the rocking chair that Qiao Mei was lying against had become a wheelchair. Qiao Mei was actually sitting in a wheelchair!
