Qiao Mei suddenly seemed to have thought of something. She grabbed her coat and walked out of the door. As she walked, she said to Deng Fan and Xia He, “Quickly put on your coats and follow me! Hurry!”
“Oh no! They might have gone to your mother’s place! We must hurry back!” Xia He immediately thought of the same thing as Qiao Mei.
Deng Fan immediately ran out of the house. It was faster for him to go home on his motorcycle, so he did not go with the two women. It was just as Qiao Mei had said. The mother-and-daughter duo were making a scene at the entrance of the Deng family’s house.

Deng Fan was only concerned for the safety of Jiang Shu and Deng Rui and did not even look at Ye Xiang and her daughter. As he walked straight towards the courtyard, Ye Xiang secretly gave her daughter, Ye Lei, a look.
Ye Lei immediately understood what Ye Xiang meant. She threw herself in front of Deng Fan and hugged his leg as she cried out, “Brother Deng! How can you be so heartless! You can’t treat me like this! You must be responsible for me!”
