“I have my pager with me! Contact me anytime if you need anything! I’ll send people to look for the children now!” When Xia Wen opened the door, he saw Qiao Mei standing at the door barefooted. Her eyes were wide open and she seemed to have even stopped breathing.

“Qiao Mei! Take a deep breath! Don’t be nervous. Father has already sent people out to look for them. We’ll definitely find them! I’m sending people out now too. Don’t be too anxious!” Xia Wen said as he looked at Qiao Mei nervously.

“Zou Ming, what did you say just now? Where did the children go missing?” Qiao Mei asked as she looked at Zou Ming with bloodshot eyes.

“Victory Garden. Both children are missing and we found water laced with sedatives and a handkerchief at the scene. These are likely the tools used by those people to commit the crime,” Zou Ming stated calmly.

Qiao Mei did not even bother to put on her shoes. She grabbed Xia Wen’s arm tightly and said, “Eldest Brother! Bring me there to look for the children! Hurry!”

Just now, Zou Ming had said that the children were missing for around two hours, so that meant that the plants in the surroundings definitely saw where the children went. She must get the children back before those people leave the capital!

The four of them headed to the crime scene together in the same car. Qiao Mei clenched her fists and looked out of the window. She kept taking deep breaths to adjust her state of mind. Her children needed her now and she could not panic. She must be calm.

Fortunately, she had rested in the hospital for a while recently. Qiao Mei got along very well with the flowers and trees downstairs and exchanged a lot of energy with them. She also kept many seeds from the beautiful plants and intended to grow them at home.

The crime scene had already been secured by Zou Ming’s team. When the few of them reached the scene, they did not even dare to take even a few steps forward. They were stunned like they had been doused in cold water from head to toe.

Qiao Mei did not care. She asked Xia He to go with her to Xia Yan’s house to get more information. Xia Wen would stay at the scene to gather more clues to find out where the children might be.

Along the way, Xia He was unwilling to believe that Xia Yan was the one who had harmed the children. After all, Xia Yan was a member of the Xia family. Could he really do something so vicious to the Xia family’s children?

“Elder Brother! Look! There’s so much money! This is the first time I’ve seen so much money!” Xia Yan said excitedly.

“Yes, it’s my first time too. How should we spend this money? Should we give some to Eldest Aunt?” Xia Lu asked.

Xia Yan said disdainfully, “Why should we give her some? There’s not even enough money for the two of us. If we give some to her, that means there’s less for us. No, no! She didn’t do anything! Xia He kicked open the door and the two women walked straight towards the two men. Xia Yan and Xia Lu did not expect Qiao Mei to come after them all the way here and they did not even have time to keep away the money on the table.

“Where did you get all this money? Where are my children now?” Qiao Mei questioned.
