If Qiao Mei knew what He Ning was thinking, she would have chased him out of the house with a big stick.

"How about it? Surely you don't think you have the shorter end of the stick?" He Ning asked.

"Who knows? For us to be able to pry such a good thing out of your mouth, we may have to pay a huge price in the future," Qiao Mei said mockingly.

"How can that be? When have I ever made huge demands from you? Instead, you're the one who has asked me for a lot time and time again," He Ning said.
