After MO Zhu found out she was pregnant, she stayed at home to rest. The office needed someone to take over her work, so they hired a new staff member. During that period of time, Xia Wen was so busy with the collaboration between the government and Qiao Mei’s factory that he did not take notice of who MO Zhu’s replacement was. It was only when everything was settled that Xia Wen realized it was Shi Rui!
“I’ve been very careful all this while, but I never expected her to be able to find an opportunity to come to my office,” Xia Wen said helplessly.

Xu Ju was very happy about this and had asked Xu Lan to bring her to Xia Fangs hospital for a checkup and to find out if the baby was a boy or a girl. When the scans showed that it was a boy, Xu Ju became even happier and the Xu family had set off firecrackers to celebrate the occasion!
Xu Ju t s husband, Zhang Leng, was not in such a good mood though. He knew very well that the child Xu Ju was carrying was not his. They had not shared the same bed for many years.
“And so they fought with each other. Xu Ju almost had a miscarriage after getting beaten up by Zhang Leng. The Xu family called the police and Zhang Leng was arrested. This issue is still pending, so Shi Rui used this as a reason to come and look for me, saying that she wants to help Xu Ju out,” Xia Wen said.
