299 Sudden Visit

"It's very delicious. Looks like you have a talent for this!" Qiao Mei praised him with a smile.

Xia Zhe was relieved to see Qiao Mei eating the food heartily.

After dinner, they cleaned up the house and then went to bed.

For a few days, no one came to look for them. All their relatives and friends seemed to have left.

She thought that this was a good idea. Most of the sightseeing venues were already reachable by public buses. One could just get off at any station one wanted.

For the past few days, Grandpa Zhou had gone off to a friend's house, leaving only Xia Zhe and her at home. On most days, they would go out for a walk and then return to cook at home. It was a boring life.

The strange thing was that the Cao family had become much more well-behaved recently. There were no more knocking sounds at night for about two to three days.

Qiao Mei was very moved by this gesture. Only she herself knew that she was pregnant with a pair of twins, so Xia He had really made the right choice in buying baby products for both boy and girl.
