Chapter 42

Asher laid flat on a hospital bed with Steve at her side. The both of them couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces as they looked at the monitor. An old doctor pointed at the screen and said,

"You can clearly see your baby now."

"Oh, yes we can." Steve stroked Asher's hair. "Please tell her that we are having a boy." His head tilted with one eyebrow raised up.

Asher rolled her eyes teasingly at Steve, "Why can't you just accept that we are having a girl?" she asked him and he kissed her forehead.

"The things you lie to yourself, honey. I know for sure that our baby is a boy." Steve waved his eyebrows up and down.

The doctor shook his head at them with a smile that hid his teeth. In all his years as a doctor, he had come across hundreds of couples during ultra sounds. The lovey dovey atmosphere around Steve and Asher was no surprise to him. He actually enjoyed seeing expecting parents excited about their baby.

The gender argument they were having didn't surprise him either. If he had a dollar for every time he heard a couple arguing about the sex of their baby, he would have retired early and spent the rest of his days in Hawaii with a sexy blonde in a red bikini.

Time to put this argument to rest. He thought to himself when he realized that the young couple before him were anxiously waiting for him to disclose who was right.

"You are having boys." He spoke up. His voice frail but warm.

"B-bb boys?" Steve and Asher stammered in unison.

"Yes boys." The old doctor confirmed.

"Ha!" Steve triumphantly gloated.

"Doctor, what do you mean, are you saying that we are having twins?" Asher couldn't believe it.

The doctor took off his glasses, rubbed his eyes with a smile and put them back on. Through his lenses he looked into Asher's astonished eyes. With a soft nod he answered,

"Yes, you are having twins." The doctor pointed at the monitor with his wrinkled hand. "You see, here is the first head of the baby and when I turn this way, there's the second head. Congratulations to the both of you."

A laugh escaped from Asher's mouth. "Steve honey we are having twins!"

Steve kissed her hand. "I am so happy my love. I can't wait to make you mine tomorrow so that we can prepare adequately for our new family."

Nadia staggered her way towards the Great One's throne room. She held her red wage heels in her hands because she could no longer walk in them without falling face flat on the floor. Her head was pounding and each step felt like it was going to be her last.

Nadia got into the throne room and was relieved to see her Great One on the throne with Ezio on her right. She was really hoping that she was going to find her there. Ezio took a blank look at her and raised his nose in disgust. When Nadia fell to the ground like a trash can that had just been kicked, Ezio folded his arms.

Servants rushed in and helped Nadia up. While one held Nadia, another gave her blood in a silver bowl. Nadia hastily drunk the blood. Her rush caused it to spill on her flat chest and stain her dress. When the bowl was finally empty, Nadia cast it aside and the servants left her. They walked out of the throne room closing the door behind them.

"Speak." The Great One commanded.

"Oh great one of the vampires, there is serious trouble." Nadia began. Her voice stiff with fear.

"Tell me my dear, what is this trouble you speak of?" The Great One asked her.

"I failed my mission to kill your sister. Earlier, everything was going great but the moment I was about to kill her... " Nadia swallowed hard. "Queen Sharaina showed up from nowhere!"

"What?" Ezio added his voice, shocked.

"I am telling you the truth. Oh she was so strong! She defeated me with little effort. I have never encountered an opponent so vicious!"

"I don't believe you. Why would the queen of the darkas gods attack you?" Ezio looked down on Nadia.

"She did so because your sister, Great One, has a pact with her. She is queen Sharaina's none pure! This explains why she defeated Chisato." Nadia stressed and Ezio was astonished.

The Great One grinned evilly as she twirled the chain holding up the Infinite Medallion to her neck. "I see. This is exciting. How Whitney ended up in the care of Sharaina is beyond me. I can't imagine anything better than this. From now on, let it be known that none of you are allowed to go after my sister. Only I will take her down." Having said this, the Great One began to laugh hysterically.

Nadia hopelessly stared at her. She expected nothing but panic but instead her news brought joy. The merry laughter eluded her ever so much. 'How can she be so happy about this? Honestly, going after Whitney now is suicide.'

"Okay everyone listen up!" Waxx ordered the Serial Takers. "Come to the living room. There is someone I would like to introduce to you all."

It was at that moment that they came out of their respective rooms. The girls were the first down and they sat on the carpet next to the fire place. Derrick and Josh followed next and sat on opposite couches. Josh gave a yawn and stretched his hands.

Waxx nodded his head in satisfaction when he looked at all of them. He peeped upstairs to see if Bruce was coming down too but there was no sight of him. Waxx couldn't hear the sound of his footsteps either.

"Okay, it looks like we are all here." Waxx resumed. "Alex Weber, please come in. Everyone is eager to meet you." Waxx called out.

A slim tall man entered the living room. He had long red hair that was tied in a low ponytail. His spectacles hang on his chest and in his hairy hand was a laptop. His wedding ring was clearly seen. He nervously walked across the room and stood next to Waxx. His soft emerald green and warm eyes scanned everyone before finally turning back to Waxx. Waxx gave him a pat on the back.

"Good evening everyone. It is a pleasure to finally meet you all." Alex greeted them.

Sana got up and went to Alex. She offered her hand in greeting and Alex took it with a smile. "I have heard stories of werewolves ever since I was little. I didn't think that I'd get the chance to meet one let alone work with one."

"I'm also a little nervous about working with darkas gods." Alex admitted with a shy but charming smile.

"My name is Sana." Sana introduced herself. She pointed to Sanuika and Maradina. "My sister is Sanuika and that over there is Maradina." Both girls gave him a soft wave and Alex nodded his head at them. "Over here is Josh and Derrick." Sana pointed and Derrick lifted his wine glass at Alex. Josh on the other hand showed indifference.

"It will be a pleasure working with you all." Alex said.

"There's one more member though. His name is Bruce. He is a darkas god too. You will get to meet him soon enough." Waxx chipped in. "Come with me Alex do that I show you your new office."

"It has now come to this huh? Working with fucking werewolves?" Josh hissed through his teeth as soon as Waxx and Alex were out of hear shot.

Derrick shook his head at him. "So what? You know we can't have another human in the gang. Stop being dramatic."

"Yeah whatever." Josh got up. "I'm going out so in case anyone needs me, please be reminded that I don't give a fuck." He violently shut the door behind him.

The sound of metal music thundered through the speakers of an abandoned fourteen-story building. Vanpires could be seen through the windows dancing vigorously and sexually with each other. Sharaina and Diavinx spied at the building from afar. With their special eyes they were able to clearly see through the building. Fifty darkas gods were patiently waiting for their attack command.

"There should be at least 250 vampires in that building commander Diavinx. I can see humans too." Sharaina voiced out without taking her eyes off the building.

She looked closely at the humans being subjected to torture by the vampires. They were bound by chains in every corner of the building. One vampire was seen flogging a dozen corpses on the ground while others licked their blood off the floor.

"This is the supposed hideout of the Day Walkers your highness." Diavinx stated.

"Command your men." Sharaina ordered him.

Diavinx smiled and turned to his men. "Slaughter the vampires but be sure to leave one alive."

At once the darkas gods pounced on the building. The vampires hissed and got ready to fight. Some however, decided to retreat. Those that decided to fight were mercilessly overpowered and slaughtered. The humans screamed and cowered naked on the floor. They put their hands over their heads and prayed for their dear lives.

When the massacre was over, Queen Sharaina joined the darkas gods in the building. She spotted the last surviving vampire on the floor. He looked at her from head to toe and snickered. His wide yellow eyes showed no remorse. He licked his pointy fangs and hissed at Sharaina.

"Hello there." Queen Sharaina greeted him. "Fancy place you had going on here. It was so fancy that we couldn't resist dropping by."

"All you darkas gods will fall! Your reign of terror shall come to an end. She has the power!" The vampire proudly said and ended with a giggle.

Queen Sharaina turned to commander Diavinx and vice commander Quix. "Interesting tales this vampire is telling us." She averted her eyes back to the vampire. "Who is this so called great one of yours and what is this power she has?"

"I will never tell you anything you fucking bitch!"

With a struck the vampire's head rolled across the room like a cement ball. Queen Sharaina looked at vice commander Quix in disbelief. She stepped on the head of the vampire and held her broad hips.

"What was the need for that?" She asked him.

"Forgive me my queen for I couldn't control myself. I just can't stand to watch a lowly vampire insult you." Quix humbly answered with a bow.

Sharaina forced her high-heeled boot down and smashed the vampire head to dust. The sound of it terrified the humans and they whimpered. Queen Sharaina looked at them with pity in her eyes.

"Commander Diavinx, see to it that these humans are taken to the hospital. Be sure to search the entire building for other survivers. Dispose the corpses as well."

Sharaina opened a portal to Dark Star. "One more thing, I want their memories erased. I will call a meeting in two days. Alert the other commanders." Sharaina disappeared into the portal.
