Chapter 57
Sheila and Monique sat on a branch of a tree that was near a secret gate of the werewolf realm. They had been there for two hours before they spotted a male werewolf approaching. To their surprise, all the werewolf did to open the gate was place it's paw on a tree. Monique was about to jump off the tree when Sheila held her hand and shook her head at her.
"Why did you stop me from attacking the werewolf?" Monique asked Sheila after the secret passage closed behind the werewolf.
"We were going to get killed had the other werewolves that were right at the gate saw us attack him. You have to think before you act Monique or else you will die in this mission." Sheila sternly warned Monique.
"Here comes another one." Monique pointed with her head. "Can I attack this one?" Monique asked Sheila and Sheila gave her an approving nod.
Monique burst out of the tree and locked eyes with the werewolf. He quickly turned into his wolf form and pounced on Monique. Sheila lazily watched them wrestle. Monique was having a tough time overpowering the werewolf. She held its jaws apart as it growled aggressively at her.
Monique heard a crack sound and the werewolf fell dead on her. She shoved it aside and looked at Sheila dusting her hands with a bored look on her face.
"It took you long enough." Monique hissed at Sheila.
Sheila ignored Monique's snappy remark and took hold of the werewolf's tail. She proceeded to drag the werewolf to the tree with the hidden gate. Sheila picked the right paw of the werewolf and placed it on the tree. To her surprise, nothing happened. Sheila paused in thought while Monique joined her at the tree.
"Why hasn't anything happened?" Monique asked.
"I think there's a specific spot that triggers the opening of the gate." Sheila moved the paw to another spot and nothing happened again. "Mm..."
"Help me get it on its fours. Might be a case of posture." Sheila stated.
Monique felt skeptical. "How are we supposed to keep it on its fours?"
"Get on your fucking fours." Sheila said with a blank look.
"For what?" Monique's skepticism grew.
Sheila gave her a glare so cold and deathly that it sent chills down Monique's spine. Monique complied to Sheila's order and got down on her fours. Sheila lifted the body of the werewolf and put it on top of Monique. Monique cringed and gagged at its scent.
"Let's hope this works." Sheila calmly said.
Sheila picked the paw of the werewolf and placed it on the tree. To her pleasure, a bright light availing the secret gate appeared. She grabbed the werewolf and tossed it five yards away from the gate. Monique quickly got back to her feet and followed Sheila into the werewolf realm. They covered their heads with their hoods.
The pair paid no attention to the amazing territory of the werewolves. They walked through the streets wondering how long it was going to take them to find Britney. In the midst of the crowd, a little boy bumped into Sheila and fell down.
"I am so sorry lady." The boy whimpered.
"It's alright little man. Please, don't cry." Sheila's warm voice stunned Monique so much that she stretched her lips.
Sheila helped the boy up. "Thank you." The boy smiled exposing his two missing front teeth.
"Would you mind helping me with something?" Sheila merrily asked the boy.
"What would you like me to do?" The boy asked back with the same energy.
Sheila held up the photograph of Akirexer and Britney to the little boy's face. "I'm looking for my pregnant friend here. Do you perhaps know where she lives?"
The boy's eyes lit as soon as he recognized Britney. "I know her! She is my brother's basketball coach. She lives in the street over there." He pointed and both Sheila and Monique turned to see. "Her house is the only yellow one in the whole street."
"Thank you so much! Here is a lollipop." Sheila sweetly said to the boy and he skipped away.
"Well that was easy." Monique remarked.
"Come on, we don't have time to waste." Sheila coldly ordered Monique and walked away.
Goodness is she bipolar or what? Monique angrily thought.

Quix leaned against his chair in his office. In his hand was Akirexer's hairpin. He spent all morning looking at it and wondering what to do with it.
He imagined a scenario whereby he would take the hairpin back to Akirexer and she would let him put it in her hair. In another scenario, she would get creeped out and run away from him. This thought made him tensed. He then thought of keeping it as a reminder of Akirexer but the fear of anyone finding it on him made him nervous. He had a reputation to keep.
Quix let out a sigh and placed the hairpin on his desk. His secretary suddenly burst into the office and Quix snatched the hairpin and shoved it into his drawer. His face screwed up into a powerful scowl eye balling the secretary as she made her way to his desk. She felt uneasy and swallowed hard. A drop of sweat ran down her face and she quickly wiped it off.
"What happened to knocking?" He asked her. She tried to speak but his glare froze her tongue. "Just leave the files and get out."
The secretary obeyed and hastily left the office. Quix held his forehead with his two fingers. He leaned against his chair and let out a sigh of stress.
"Shit now I'm yelling at women." He stressed.
Quix looked thoughtfully at the drawer that contained Akirexer's hairpin. After much debate in his head, he opened it and took out the hairpin.
"Why are you constantly on my mind Akirexer?" He asked himself. He took a swing of his chair and faced his window. "I wonder what you are doing now."

"Damn it this dragon is too strong. Of all the dragons, I have to deal with the king of dragons!" Akirexer complained as she fled from Umandaang.
Umandaang flew up in the sky blowing fire at Akirexer. Seeing that the fire wasn't burning her, Umandaang switched to shooting electric fire balls at Akirexer. Akirexer dodged the first one but unfortunately for her, it exploded like a grenade upon touching the ground. The bang sent her flying and she landed face first. Akirexer heard Umandaang land behind her and she sat facing him. She coughed out the sand that got into her throat and shook the rest out of her hair.
"The time for today is up!" Umandaang thundered and took off into the sky.
"What did it mean?" Akirexer wondered.

Sheila and Monique stood outside Britney's gate. Sheila checked to see how many werewolves were in the house. She grinned when she only sensed one.
"There's only one werewolf in the house. I'm not sure if it's Britney." Sheila quietly said to Monique.
Monique didn't answer her back because the werewolves walking past them in the streets constantly stared at them. Monique couldn't determine whether they were suspicions of them because she did her best to avoid their eyes.
"If you keep shaking like that, you are going to make it so obvious that we are up to something." Sheila glared at Monique.
"I can't help it. Werewolves are so intimidating when they are a lot." Monique hissed back at Sheila.
"That's why it is important that we don't blow out cover. We have to act natural." Sheila turned back to the house. "Beheading her from here without attracting attention is impossible. We will have to lure her out of here."
"Yes, better that way." Monique agreed.
Sheila quietly opened the gate and both vampires made their way to the porch. Sheila turned the door knob while Monique checked to see if anyone was watching them. As soon as she heard Sheila going into the house, Monique walked in and quietly closed the door.
The sound of country music playing on the radio drowned the sound of their heels on the wooden floor. Britney was baking in the kitchen when she heard someone join her. She was struck with shock when she saw Sheila grinning at her.
"Hello there, old friend. Did you miss me?" Sheila popped her fangs out.
Britney frantically sensed everywhere for Escabitha and any other vampires but she sensed none. She couldn't even sense Sheila who was just standing in front of her. Panic crept into Britney's mind and she reached out for her silver butcher knife. She thrust it at Sheila but she stepped back.
Britney forced Sheila into the wall but Sheila headbutted her. Sheila quickly snatched the knife away from Britney and ducked a punch that created another hole in the wall. Monique was in the hallway. She looked at Britney's fist through the wall and smirked.
Sheila dodged several punches from Britney before finally skidding in between Britney's legs. She pointed the knife on Britney's belly bump from below. Britney unwillingly completely froze. Silence settled in the kitchen.
"It's nice to see that you are finally calm." Sheila mocked Britney. "We wouldn't anything to happen to your puppy now would we?"
"You bitch." Britney angrily blurted out.
Sheila kept the knife on Britney's belly as she got back to her feet. When she was face to face with Britney, she grabbed the back of Britney's neck and pressed the knife on Britney's belly.
"Here's what's going to happen, you will come with us quietly and do everything we say or else we get to see the fucking puppy before time." Sheila grimly tells Britney and Britney growls in frustration.
Sheila swiftly went behind Britney and grabbed a hold of her hand. She twisted it hard and Britney winced. Britney's wolf ears popped out in her anger but Sheila lined the cold sharp knife on Britney's neck. Sheila tightened her arm twist and sank the knife on Britney's throat that a little cut was formed.
"Be a good girl." Sheila darkly urged Britney.

Akirexer wondered around the Dragon Territory. She sweated profusely as walked in search of water. The three scorching suns made her feel miserable.
"This heat is so unbearable. Is this the Dragon Territory or hell?" Akirexer complained to herself.
Akirexer's legs gave up and she dropped down to her knees. The sand felt so hot but she was too weak to get up. Suddenly the suns began to set and they were replaced by the three moons.
"Night time after only an hour of day time?" Akirexer was astonished. "Regardless, this is good. I don't know how much more of the heat I was going to take."
Akirexer felt her strength return with the coldness of the night. She had just gotten back to her feet when Umandaang came crushing down. He hit her with his tail and she was sent flying four miles.
"Crap, I was hoping that he wasn't going to catch me off guard this time."
