Chapter 64
In the middle of the night, Akirexer opened her eyes to the roof of Quix's tent. His strong hand around her naked body and warm hard chest against her back reminded her of what they did.
Akirexer gently took his arm off and sat up on the bed with her feet planted on the floor. She pulled a bed sheet over her breasts and just sat there in silence. She felt the bed move but chose to remain still. Her stiffened body relaxed at Quix's kiss on her neck.
"You seem to have a lot on your mind." he softly said to her.
Akirexer sighed, "How can I not?" she replied and turned to face Quix. "Peace is a feeling I used to take for granted. Now that I haven't had it for months, it's all I desire but I don't think I'll ever have it again."
"I understand how tough it is." Quix beckoned and tucked a loose strand off of Akirexer's face. She leaned closer and their lips met in a slow gentle kiss. Quix broke away and kissed her forehead with both his hands cupped on her face. "You are a strong woman, Akirexer. Not many can handle this pain you have."
"I don't feel strong." Akirexer whispered.
"That's not I see. Everyone else can tell you the same thing." Quix reassured her.
Akirexer smiled faintly and got out of bed. For the next few minutes, Quix watched her dress up. When she was done, she sat back down on the bed and chuckled softly at Quix's visible displeasure.
"You know we are to be on the move at Dawn." She reminded him.
"I know but why do you still have to leave so soon?"
Akirexer smiled coyly at him. "You know that we will not sleep if I stay here."
"Does it matter?" Quix mischievously smirked and Akirexer chuckled softly. "Come on, spend the night, I just want your company. I won't touch you."
"But I can't guarantee that I won't touch you." Akirexer meekly replied.
"Alright," Quix playfully threw his hands up in the air in defeat. "Can I ask you something though?"
"Yeah, go ahead."
"When all this is over, will you give me the pleasure of taking you out somewhere peaceful?"
"You mean a date?"
"Absolutely," Quix quickly answered to which she giggled at. "Well?"
"Sure, if we both live through this, we'll do that." Akirexer agreed much to Quix's delight.
"Good night, Akirexer."
"Good night."

In her dimly lit office, Escabitha stood outside her window marveling at the Kremis dimension. She had never been in any other dimension apart from Earth. She could see her loyal subordinates training tirelessly for the upcoming battle.
"I can't believe it. Everything is going according to plan." She snickered at her window.
Escabitha heard a knock at her door and she looked away from her window with a grin. A male vampire walked in and bowed his head.
"Great One, Monique seeks to be in your presence. She says that she has something that may interest you." He said, carefully keeping his eyes on the floor.
"I'll be down in a few minutes." Escabitha told the vampire. "Leave me." She ordered him.
The vampire quietly left and closed the door behind him. From the corner of her eye, Escabitha saw her mother's ghost sitting on her chair with her feet on her table. As usual, she was a bloody sight. Escabitha felt her dark eyes pierce her back.
"For how long will you disrespect my desk by putting your filthy feet on it?" Escabitha asked her mother.
Her mother didn't say anything but let out a deafening laugh that infuriated Escabitha. Escabitha angrily turned to face her. She scowled coldly at her mother while she just laughed at her.
"I have grown wiry of your taunts. For how much longer I'm I to be subjected to your suffocating presence?" Escabitha angrily asked her mother.
"You deserve no peace!" Her mother answered in a husky demonic voice.
"Fuck off!" Escabitha grabbed a book off her desk and threw it at her. The ghost immediately disappeared.
Escabitha stood at the center of her office hyperventilating in anger. She placed her hand on her forehead and leaned against her desk. Escabitha slowly started to calm down. When she was finally calm, she placed her hand on her chest with a hurt look on her face.
After much thought, she left her office and went straight to Dr Spencer's lab. She found him marveling at his progress. Before him were thousands of life sized glass tanks with naked sedated humans in them. Their skin was olive green and they had tails. Seeing them lifted Escabitha's spirit.
"How much longer will it take?" She asked Dr Spencer and startled him.
"I didn't see you there Great One." Dr Spencer readjusted his glasses. "It's only a matter of hours now. Soon they will grace the battlefield."
"Excellent." Escabitha grinned.
"I have tweaked them up a bit so that they are better than Danny's transformation. These ones will not only be able to regenerate but they possess the venomous natrifin." Dr Spencer proudly explained.
"You have outdone yourself Dr Spencer. I am pleased with you." Escabitha smiled at Dr Spencer.
"My purpose is to serve you diligently Great One." Dr Spencer respectfully said and the Great One smiled at the tanks.

Monique nervously stood before Escabitha's throne. She had been waiting for Escabitha for half an hour and every minute felt like an eternity. She was afraid that Escabitha was going to kill her for bringing a werewolf puppy. The thought of getting praise from Escabitha for kidnapping Britney's child was the only thing giving her the courage.
Monique finally heard the sound of Escabitha's high heeled boots and she swallowed hard. Monique kept her eyes off Escabitha's face but on her long black dress that had two long slits exposing her lovely long legs. A long black cape swept the floor as Escabitha cat walked to her throne. She sat down and crossed her legs.
Escabitha examined Monique and the baby in her arms. She held her chin with her freshly painted black nails. Monique held the baby close to her chest and bowed down.
"Where is Sheila?" Escabitha asked Monique.
Monique swallowed hard again. "She was killed in battle by Britney and her mate your greatness." Monique fearfully answered.
"I see. Too bad she had to die so soon. She was one of my favorites." Escabitha said with a yawn. "Why have you brought that thing here?" Escabitha asked Monique in the coldest tone she had ever heard in her entire life.
"The baby is Britney's your greatness. I kidnapped it."
At that, Escabitha rose from her throne astonished. She walked to Monique and Monique looked up at her. Monique was shocked with the warm glow she saw in Escabitha's eyes. She never saw Escabitha look at anyone that way before. Without another word, she handed the baby to Escabitha.
Escabitha lovingly held the baby in her arms. Alex Jnr opened his eyes and smiled at Escabitha. Escabitha poked his chick with her cold finger. Alex Jnr didn't like how her finger felt and he fidgetted. He was almost about to cry. Escabitha began to pull her finger away when Alex Jnr held it with his little warm hand. Escabitha felt accepted and smiled warmly at him.
"Is the baby really Britney's?" Escabitha asked Monique.
"Yes your greatness. I swear on my life." Monique assured Escabitha.
"You don't know what you have done Monique. You have given me something no one could ever give me. That is the chance for a fresh start." Escabitha happily said to Monique.
Monique felt so relieved at Escabitha's words.
"Ask me what you want and I shall give it to you." Escabitha offered to Monique.
This is it! The moment that I have been hoping for! Monique internally celebrated.
"I would like a place in the Day Walkers your greatness." Monique asked without a second thought.
"It is done. You will rank the letter K right after Leonardo." Escabitha said as she rocked Alex Jnr.
YES! Monique internally shrieked in excitement.
"See Dr Spencer for your special tattoo. Welcome to the Day Walkers group. Your first duty is to protect my baby with your life until the war is over. If anything happens to my baby, I will kill you myself."
"I will not let you down." Monique answered confidently.

Britney frantically looked for Monique everywhere all night. She was distraught that there was no sign of her or any other live vampires. She couldn't find Akirexer and the others too. Feeling defeated, Britney returned to the Serial Takers house and fell at Alex's feet. Unlike her, Alex didn't go out searching because he knew that it was impossible to find Monique.
The whole place was deserted. The only sounds that were heard were Britney's sobbing and birds chirping. The bodies of the vampires that didn't turn into vampire dust disintegrated due to the sunlight. Alex picked Britney off the ground and held her tight as she cried deeply. He fought back his own tears with great difficulty. He didn't want Britney to see him cry. He had to be strong for the both of them.
Suddenly, the door opened and walking out was Derrick. He looked dusty and dazed. He sat on the porch and lit his cigar. Alex and Britney were relieved to see that he was still alive.
"They are all gone huh?" Derrick asked the couple.
"Yes they are. They were teleported last night." Alex answered.
"Why do you look so distraught?" Derrick asked them, concerned.
"A vampire got away with our son." Alex sadly replied and Britney started to cry again.
Derrick got up with a jolt. "What? That is terrible." He blurted out.
"Is there anything we can do to get our baby back?" Alex asked Derrick and Britney looked hopeful.
"I think Bruce will be best to help you. He is downstairs in the basement." Derrick scratched his head.
"Bruce? Bruce is still here?" Britney wiped her tears.
"Only warrior darkas gods and vampires were teleported." Derrick explained. "Come on, let's go and see Bruce."
The trio rushed to the basement. When they got in, they found Bruce lying unconscious on the floor. Derrick quickly rushed to his aid. He slapped him twice and Bruce groaned. Bruce sat up and coughed.
"Are you okay man?" Derrick asked Bruce.
"I'm okay just a little dazed. The impact of teleporting everyone in this area knocked me out. I feel drained." Bruce slowly said and ended with a cough.
Bruce looked at Britney and saw the sadness but hopefulness in her eyes. "Britney, what's wrong?" He asked her.
Britney knelt down beside Bruce. "A vampire was teleported with our baby." Britney said and fresh tears streamed down her cheeks. "Please, can you help us save our baby?"
Bruce was flabbergasted. He looked at Alex and Derrick. He saw that they were equally shattered. He turned back to Britney and felt her sadness.
"It is very unfortunate that your child has been kidnapped but I don't think sending you to the Kremis dimension is a good idea." Bruce voiced out his concerns.
"Please you have to send us there. If anything happens to our son, I will never forgive myself." Alex spoke up. Bruce could see the desperation in him.
"Please Bruce, have mercy on us. We are not asking you as your friend but as parents." Alex pleaded.
"Okay I will send you both there." Bruce finally agreed and their faces lightened up. "I'm going to need at least 24 hours to recharge. Please bear with me."
Alex and Britney's hearts sank at that. They had hoped that Bruce was going to send them off immediately. They helplessly agreed to wait for Bruce to build up some more gamarax for the teleportation.
Britney watched Alex and Derrick help Bruce up the stairs. Her ears were still hurting. She rubbed the both of them.
"I hope 24hrs will be enough for my ears to heal." Britney clenched her fist.

The world leaders sat mumbling amongst themselves. They had received word that the teleportation was complete. They were so happy and relieved that the war was taken far away from them. They were pleased that Queen Sharaina kept her word. They all agreed that it was time to release their people from the dorms. Repairs of the damages caused by the war had to begin.
The people in the dorms received the news with shock and happiness. They danced in merrily in joy that the war was over. Even though majority of them were sad because they lost their friends and loved ones, they were still overjoyed that it was all over.
They, however, were oblivious to what caused the war. Most of the people believed that the vampires were behind it while others developed an alien invasion theory. Others, especially the religious, believed that it was an apocalypse. Little did they know that, for the darkas gods, the war had only just began.
