Chapter 72

The extremely violent fight between Escabitha and Umandaang continued in the sky. Escabitha's screams and Umandaang's roars were heard across the kremis dimension. Akirexer could barely keep up with the noise anymore. She felt like her ear drums were about to burst.

Escabitha flew away from Umandaang and disappeared above the clouds. Umandaang roared as he frantically looked for her. Akirexer scanned the clouds and behold, Escabitha reappeared from nowhere and sank her pointy gigantic teeth into Umandaang's neck.

She bit right through his scales. Umandaang let out a roar of pain. He tried with all his might to shake her off but she just sank her fangs deeper and deeper. Akirexer's skin crawled with the sound of Umandaang's flesh tearing. Akirexer struck Escabitha's head with her sword and she immediately released Umandaang and escaped to the clouds.

Umandaang fell hard to the ground. He just lay there laughing softly to himself. Escabitha saw his defeated state and she flew in circles. She let out a scream of victory. This only made Umandaang laugh a little harder. This was because Akirexer did not fall with him. She was right where she was supposed to be. With one strike of her sword, Akirexer pulled out the Infinite Medallion.

Escabitha moaned in pain and lost control of her wings. She fell hard to the ground. The rocky mountains around crumbled down along with the Kremis that took shelter in the caves the mountains provided. A deep and wide canyon was created. Escabitha was back to her real form and looked extremely tiny the canyon. She lay on her back with her arms and legs spread apart. Her hair was a complete mess and her clothes were dusty and torn. She moaned as she got up in a daze. Her eyes immediately met Akirexer's and she sharply looked back at her.

Umandaang, I'll take it from here. Akirexer ordered Umandaang. Her eyes were fixed on Escabitha.

Be careful. Umandaang replied and disappeared.

"Aren't you going to call your pet to finish me off?" Escabitha deviously grinned.

"This is between you and I." Akirexer quickly responded.

Akirexer's response was met with sarcastic laugh. "Do you honestly believe that you can kill me on your own?"

"We don't have to do this, Escabitha. It's not too late to talk." Akirexer softly said to Escabitha.

Escabitha was taken aback by the sincerity in her eyes. She angrily spit on the ground.

"I absolutely hate it when people insult my intelligence." Escabitha curtly replied. Her voice was laced with anger.

Akirexer maintained her composure.

"I am not interested in talking to you, stupid fucking bitch. Is it that difficult to believe that all I desire is your death?"

"That is so unfortunate." Akirexer cracked her knuckles and neck. "I guess you leave me no choice."

Escabitha threw a punch at Akirexer but she ducked and punched her in the stomach. Escabitha retaliated by pulling Akirexer's hair backwards and landing a hit on Akirexer's chest with her elbow. Akirexer spun around and kicked Escabitha away. Both women charged and each other and jumped up. They threw a couple of kicks at each other before getting their feet back on the ground. Escabitha made a wrong move and she was kicked into a hill. Before Escabitha could get out, Akirexer punched her in the face and she burst out from the other side.

Quix sensed Akirexer close to him and he summoned his yellow dragon, Petrilan. Quix hopped onto Petrilan and he took off into the sky. From high up, he was able to clearly see the ongoing fight between Akirexer and Escabitha. Quix saw a pack of werewolves observing the fight too. He narrowed his eyes at Britney.

"Go to the werewolves." Quix ordered Petrilan.

"Shouldn't we go to Akirexer?" Petrilan asked, confused. He knew how Quix felt about Akirexer.

"She is fine." Quix declined. "We will just be a nuisance."

Petrilan said no more and flew to the werewolves. Petrilan landed magnificently before the werewolves. Quix got off Petrilan and faced the them. The female werewolves were smitten by his charming and athletic look. Britney wasn't spared for even she ogled at Quix's bare chest. She heard Daniel, the alpha, clear his throat and she got back to her senses. Britney blushed so heavily that she was afraid Alex was going to notice. Unfortunately for her, he did notice and he was furious. He scowled at her first before turning to give Quix a fake smile that didn't even touch his ears.

"I am vice commander Quix." Quix introduced himself. He turned his attention to Britney. "You are a relative of Akirexer."

"Y-yes I am. She is my sister." Britney confirmed. She gazed into Quix's eyes and blushed again.

Alex pulled her aside and faced Quix. He put out his hand in greeting.

"I am Akirexer's brother in law." Alex introduced himself.

Quix took Alex's hand. "I noticed that you are also observing the fight."

"We have no option but to watch." Alex remarked.

Quix looked back at Akirexer and Escabitha brutally attacking each other.

"It's not safe here. In no time, you all will be caught up in the cross fire. Would you mind hopping on my dragon?" Quix asked Alex.

"Where do you intend on taking us?" Daniel broke his silence.

"Anywhere safe." Quix replied.

"Please let it be where I can still see her." Britney requested.

"Of course." Quix agreed, much to Britney's relief.

Queen Sharaina and Meelzib hit their swords against each other. Meelzib landed a stinging hit on Queen Sharaina's back. She missed him with her sword when he jumped high. Meelzib came down hard and locked his sword in between Queen Sharaina's swords. Queen Sharaina pushed him away and kicked him in the chest. King Meelzib rolled away only to see Queen Sharaina throw one of her swords at him. The sword narrowly hit him. Queen Sharaina jumped high into the sky and threw her other sword like a spear. It cut Meelzib's hand as he got away and sank into the ground with an explosion.

Queen Sharaina landed on the ground and ran towards Meelzib. She pulled out her sword and the other one appeared in her hand as she ran. The two fought at an impossible speed. They slashed and hit their swords against each other. Meelzib hit one of Queen Sharaina's swords out of her hand and punched her under her jaw. The blow sent her flying straight into the sky. Meelzib opened a portal and reappeared above Queen Sharaina in the air and punched her back down.

Queen Sharaina landed on her feet and lunged back at Meelzib. She punched him in the face and he headbutted her back to the ground. Meelzib back flipped into the air and slashed his sword. His explosive and static wave appeared and it swept through the air towards Queen Sharaina. Queen Sharaina slashed her sword and created a wave of her own. Both waves hit with a thundering bang.

"I can see that I taught you well." Meelzib proudly remarked.

Queen Sharaina silently glared at him.

"Don't get too confident Sharaina. What happened all those years ago won't happen again. Dark Star is my kingdom and I want it back."

"I told you to come and get it." Queen Sharaina dared Meelzib.

Meelzib lashed at Queen Sharaina and the two went at it again. This time around, Meelzib was on the defense whereas Queen Sharaina was on the offence. Meelzib suddenly threw his sword up and grabbed Queen Sharaina by her neck. What he did next astonished her.

He is absorbing me?

The Enchanted Seven realized what was happening. They furiously charged at Meelzib. Zentz was the first to get to Meelzib but he was slapped away by a dragon tail. Before the Enchanted Seven knew it, they were surrounded by fifty of Meelzib's dragons. They were all the same color and type as Umandaang.

The Enchanted Seven summoned their own dragons and they fought against Meelzib's dragons. While they fought, Meelzib kept on absorbing Queen Sharaina. When he nearly got half of her power, he forced his sword into her belly and pulled it up. Blood poured out of Queen Sharaina's mouth and splashed on Meelzib's face. He looked at her in disgust and choke slammed her to the ground.

As Queen Sharaina lay helplessly on the ground, Meelzib pulled out her crown and tossed it away. He coldly stared down at Queen Sharaina. His eyes were filled with sheer hatred.

"Your time as ruler of Dark Star is up. Had you believed me when I told you that I was going to return, you wouldn't have given part of your power to a none pure."

Meelzib faced away from her and looked at his dragons flawlessly stopping the Enchanted Seven from saving Queen Sharaina. He laughed in excitement and raised his hands up in the air.

"Dark Star, your pitiful excuse for a queen has fallen. Your rightful ruler has returned! King Meelzib!" He roared.
