Epilogue

Rose felt Benny's warm embrace as they watched TV in her living room. They had been dating for four months and everything between them was better than Rose could have ever imagined. Benny was everything she ever wanted in a woman.

She took care of her needs and adored her son. Normally, the three of them would watch TV together on a Friday night but Gilbert went out for camp. Rose and Benny had only a few minutes left for their alone time.

"What time did you say your friend was coming over?" Benny asked Rose as she caressed her hair.

"She should be here any minute now." Rose replied and gave Benny a kiss on her chin.

"I was really hoping that it was just going to be the two of us tonight." Benny held Rose tighter as their lips crushed against each other.

Rose pulled away chuckling with cheeks as red as a cherry. "I know babe but you must understand that I haven't seen her in months. I really miss her."

Benny got up and looked seductively at Rose, "Alright." she gave in.

Benny suddenly froze in her seat with a tensed look on her face. Rose got concerned and she held Benny's hand. Benny didn't hear Rose asking her if everything was alright. She just stared into open space with her mouth agape. Rose wanted to press her more but the sudden knock on her door distracted her.

"That must be her. I'll be right back." she softly said to Benny and got up.

'Darkas gods here? It can't be.' Benny panicked.

Rose opened the door to Akirexer. She smiled happily at her and gave her a big hug. As the two were giggling at each other, Rose caught sight of Queen Sharaina sitting on the hood of a Benz. She wore a white loose crop top and on her neck were two brown bead necklaces. She had her legs covered in a deep blue ripped skin jean. On her feet were converse. She was tapping something into her iPhone as the wind blew her hair back. In her hand was a half empty bottle of beer.

Commander Yolin was smoking in the driver's seat with the door open. Her bare long legs were crossed as she took in the tobacco. She wore an olive green bum short and black blouse. On her feet were black ankle boots.

Commander Ronitte and Philanda were leaning against the Benz with their eyes on the screen of an iPhone. Commander Philanda wore a dress that was above her knees and flat shoes. Ronitte wore a red floral jumpsuit with matching red flat shoes. The both of them tied their hair in ponytails.

Akirexer wore a black bum short and a loose black crop top. Her hair was loose and on her neck was a chocker. She wore converse on her feet.

"I hope you don't mind that I brought some company?" Akirexer casually said to Rose.

"Ah not at all." Rose reluctantly replied.

"We were out on a girl's night. We are actually here to pick you up." Akirexer looked at Rose from head to toe. "You should probably change your slacks." she commented.

"I'll have to check in on Benny first. Why don't you all come in?" Rose gladly offered.

Akirexer gestured to everyone that they could go in. One by one they got into the house while Rose held the door open. Rose closed the door once they were in and her eyes searched for Benny but she wasn't in the living room. Akirexer took notice of the awkward look on Rose's face and she face palmed.

"Everyone, this is Rose, one of my best friends." Akirexer introduced Rose.

"Rose, this is Philanda, there is Ronitte and here is Yolin."

Rose politely shook their hands. "It's a pleasure to meet you all." she softly said.

"They are commanders in the Enchanted Seven." Akirexer said and Rose looked at her stunned.

"Last but not the least, this here is Queen Sharaina."

Rose looked at Akirexer shocked. She didn't think that the queen of the darkas gods would ever grace her house. Sharaina wasn't wearing her crown so Rose was caught off guard. She didn't know whether to curtsey or bow in respect. Rose felt intimidated. Before her were Dark Star's most powerful women. She tried her best to keep a straight face as she pondered on what to do.

"Do you have drinks here?" Queen Sharaina held up her empty beer bottle. "I'm going to need another one." she said to Rose.

"Um y-yes I do. Whitney, would you mind coming with me to the kitchen?"

Rose closed the kitchen door and wiped her forehead. She covered her mouth with her eyes wide open. Akirexer sat on her counter with her legs crossed. She couldn't help but grin at Rose.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were coming with them?" she asked Akirexer.

Akirexer laughed at Rose. "So what Rose? They are not here to cause any trouble. They asked me to go out with them and they so happened to pick Kansas City so I thought of visiting you."

"Yes but still." Rose sighed. "I have just met the queen and her commanders while looking like a mess. This is not fair Whitney." she sternly said to Akirexer.

She opened up her fridge and took out a six pack of beer. Akirexer tilted her head and stretched her lips. Rose saw the look on her face and laughed.

"They are Benny's." she remarked.

"Oh, I thought you stopped taking wine."

"You know that wine is my first love." Rose winked at Akirexer. "Do you think these will be okay for them?" she asked doubtfully.

"They'll take them don't worry. They aren't here to cause you any problems." Akirexer assured Rose.

A sudden drop was heard and it startled Rose. They heard another one and Akirexer jumped off the counter. She dashed out of the kitchen and was stunned by what she saw. Rose cautiously followed her and looked over her shoulder. She gasped when she saw Philanda pinning something on the ground. Rose couldn't see what she was holding but it was clear that there was something there. Philanda forced her hand down and another sound was heard. This time, the wooden floor cracked.

"What's going on?" Rose asked in fear.

"An Invisible clan vampire has been dwelling in your house it seems." Yolin lazily answered.

Vampire?

Rose's eyes widened. "Benny! Where's Benny?" Rose panicked. She desperately turned to Akirexer. "Benny could have been hurt by the vampire."

"Alright, I'll go and check." Akirexer calmly said and Rose held her chest as her tears started to form.

Queen Sharaina glanced over to the beer in Rose's hand. "Is that my beer?" she asked her.

Rose remembered that she was holding a beer. She went to Queen Sharaina and silently gave it to her. Her worried eyes were fixed her stairs as she waited for Akirexer to return. Queen Sharaina popped open the metal cap with her finger and started to drink her beer. Her face cringed and she checked the label.

"Flat?" Yolin asked her.

"Yeah." she replied and took another disappointing sip.

Akirexer came back downstairs without Benny. Rose felt weak and held onto her couch. Akirexer went to her to calm her down.

"Relax okay, there's no one upstairs. Perhaps Benny went out."

Rose shook her head. "No she would have told me." she stressed.

Akirexer's eye brow involuntarily jerked up. "She?" she asked, puzzled.

"What do we do with this vampire?" Philanda asked.

"Let's play rock paper scissors to who gets to eat it." Queen Sharaina chuckled.

"You're on." Ronitte rubbed her hands with a daring look.

"No!" a strange voice sounded.

Right before their eyes, the invisible being became visible and Rose completely lost her balance. She dropped herself on her couch and looked at Benny shocked.

"You're a vampire?" she whispered in disbelief.

"I planned on telling you." Benny painfully said.

"Wait, you know her?" Akirexer was baffled.

"That's Benny." Rose confessed with her head down. "She is my girlfriend."

There was a long moment of silence in the room.

"Rose, please give me a chance to explain." Benny broke the silence.

"I don't want to hear anything you have to say." Rose angrily said.

"Can I eat her?" Ronitte asked excitedly.

"And who says that you get to eat her? You have already fed twice tonight. I'm eating her." Queen Sharaina put her empty beer bottle on the coffee table.

"None of you are eating her." Akirexer voiced out. "Rose, what is going on?"

"Please excuse me." Rose rushed upstairs.

Philanda got off Benny and she backed away tensed. She got back to her feet and made a turn for the stairs. Akirexer cleared her throat and she halted.

"You're not going up there to talk to her alone. I am coming with you." she said.

Benny's face cringed into a scowl. "I want to talk to her alone. This is none of your business."

"Oh but it is my business. You must be stupid to even think that I would let you be alone with her. I'm coming. It's either me or one of them and I'm the only one who doesn't want to eat you. Your choice."

Benny relaxed her face in thought. "Okay, let's go." she hesitantly agreed.

Rose sat on her bed with a frown. When she heard Benny knock on her door, she ignored her and maintained her silence. Benny slowly opened the door and peeped at Rose. She swallowed hard and felt overwhelmed with tension. Akirexer observed all this with her arms folded.

"Perhaps I should leave her alone." Benny sighed.

"I suggest you go in there and talk to her." Akirexer urged her.

"But she doesn't want anything to do with me anymore." Benny said with pain in her voice.

"Just go in there and talk to her." Akirexer encouraged her. "I'll be here watching you."

Benny took a deep breath and got into the room. Rose looked at her once and faced away. She didn't even move an inch when Benny sat beside her. Benny looked back at Akirexer and she pointed at her wrist watch. Benny nodded her head and looked painfully at Rose.

"I really planned on telling you." she softly said.

"When?" Rose asked, her tone was laced with anger.

"I don't know. I was scared that you were going to see me as a monster." Benny lamented.

Benny took Rose's hand with both her hands and she gazed deeply into Rose's sad eyes. Rose faced away but Benny gently held her chin and made her look at her again.

"Please don't break up with me. You're the best thing that has happened to me in a long time." Benny pleaded, she was almost in tears.

"All this is just too much for me." Rose painfully admitted. "I'll need some time to get used to this." she smiled shyly.

Benny's eyes brightened. "So you aren't breaking up with me?"

Rose smiled sweetly at her. "I can't." she confessed. "No more secrets though."

Benny giggled. "I promise." she said with her right hand on her chest.

Akirexer saw that Rose was safe so she went downstairs with a smirk.

She finally came out of the closet? Interesting.

"Is everything okay up there?" Queen Sharaina asked Akirexer as soon as she got back to the living room.

"Yes they have worked things out." she replied and threw herself on the couch.

"That's nice." Queen Sharaina said and changed the TV channel.

Ronitte frowned at her. "I was watching that." she complained.

Queen Sharaina let out a soft laugh and changed the channel back. "I will never understand your love for cartoons Ronitte." she remarked.

"They are cool and funny. Moreover I haven't seen this episode of Spongebob Squarepants before. I want to see if Spongebob will win the dance audition." Ronitte giggled.

"He won't." Queen Sharaina opened another bottle.

Ronitte narrowed her eyes suspiciously at her. "How would you know?"

"I once found Diavinx watching it in his office. Squidward will over train Spongebob to the point of passing out. Then he will take his place at the audition and get the part. Only problem is that..."

"La la la la la." Ronitte covered her ears. "Don't want to hear it. Don't ruin it for me."

Queen Sharaina, Akirexer and Philanda laughed at her. Yolin on the other hand maintained the bored look on her face. She was not interested in what was happening.

"I thought we are going out to a club and not watch cartoons." her lazy tone caught the attention of everyone except Ronitte.

Yolin faced Akirexer. "How much longer do we have to wait for your friend?"

"We're ready." Rose said as she went down the stairs hand in hand with Benny.

They both looked dazzling in their red dresses and black jackets. Rose's dress was short and tight whereas Benny's was slightly longer and equally tight. They both wore black heels. Rose had a blonde wig on and this puzzled everyone but Akirexer. She knew that a lawyer of her status shouldn't be seen in night clubs.

"Nice disguise Rose. I almost didn't recognize you." Akirexer teased.

"Well let's hope no one does." Rose laughed. "Well, shall we?"

"HA! He is going to have to work for Squiliam!" Ronitte suddenly exclaimed and startled Rose.

Queen Sharaina got off her seat laughing. "Well let's head on out. I can see the vampire is all dressed up too so I'm assuming that she is coming too."

"You don't mind, right?" Akirexer asked and Rose looked at Sharaina tensed.

Queen Sharaina shrugged her shoulders. "I have never gone out drinking with a vampire before. I guess there's a first time for everything." she said and both Benny and Rose sighed in relief.

"I can't guarantee that I won't get tempted to feed on her." Philanda raised her hand.

"Yeah me too." Yolin added.

"I won't!" Ronitte excitedly said.

"Alright, Benny stay clear away from Philanda and Yolin." Akirexer laughed.

"Oh don't worry, I haven't lived for 200 years to be an easy meal." Benny winked.

"No one is eating anyone. Yolin and Philanda, behave yourselves." Queen Sharaina ordered them.

"Yes, your highness." they respectfully said at once.

"Great, now enough chit chat. Let's go and party." Queen Sharaina smacked her hands with a bright smile.

Rose and Benny got into Benny's car with Akirexer. The rest got into the Benz with Yolin at the wheel. Benny followed the Benz to an exclusive A list nightclub. People were already lined up outside. Queen Sharaina stepped out of the car with Yolin, Philanda and Ronitte. Akirexer, Rose and Benny joined them out.

The people looked at them in awe. They looked like a group of gorgeous models. The door bouncers didn't even check their list. They immediately opened the door for them to enter.

"Thank you." Queen Sharaina winked at the one on her right and he blushed.

The club was lit and the music was on point. The ladies wasted no time in securing a table for themselves. A waitress went over to them and asked for their order. Queen Sharaina and Yolin were talking to her when Akirexer observed how lovey dovey Rose and Benny were acting. She honestly felt happy for Rose.

In no time their drinks arrived and they all got chatty. They attracted the attention of six college boys and they went over to their table. The darkas gods giggled at themselves and that only boosted the confidence of the guys.

"Would any of these gorgeous ladies love another round on us?" one of them asked with one eyebrow deliberately held up high and his pink lips stretched flirtatiously.

"We're good, thanks." Yolin declined.

He ignored the rejection and made his way to the empty seat beside Sharaina. He winked at her and scooted a little closer to her. When he put his hand on her knee, Yolin and Philanda scowled.

"Get your hands off of her." Yolin sternly commanded him.

He laughed at her. "Come on, don't be like that. I'm just interested in your friend that's all. I'm not a bad guy." he gently squeezed her knee.

Yolin and Philanda jolted off their seats appalled. Akirexer leaned back and drank from her beer bottle. Ronitte and Rose felt tensed whereas Sharaina looked at the man amused.

"Your highness, if he doesn't get his hands off you, he will regret it." Yolin threatened through her gritted teeth.

"Um let's all just relax huh?" Ronitte nervously suggested.

"Your highness?" the man laughed and his friends laughed with him. "You must be the princess of the group." he teased and caressed Sharaina's face.

Philanda lost her cool and grabbed him by the collar. The next thing was him smashing on a table across and people scampering away. His friends looked on confused and shocked at the same time. They slowly turned back to the ladies. Yolin broke her whiskey glass in the palm of her hand with a powerful scowl. They were shocked to see no blood or cuts on her hand.

"Get lost." she hissed and they backed away.

"Now that wasn't very nice." Sharaina remarked with her eyes closed as she drank from her glass.

"You know that we can't tolerate insolence against you." Philanda said with no hint of regret.

Sharaina got up from her seat. "We might as well leave now. Door bouncers are going to come here to throw us out." she said and left.

The ladies spent the night exploring nightclubs and drinking their heads off. They were all having a great time. Akirexer occasionally had to stop Yolin and Philanda from beating anyone up but that didn't ruin the night for anyone.

They partied so hard that they lost track of time. Before they knew it, the sun rise of the new day hit them. They all drove back to Rose's house. Benny got out of the car and rushed into the house. Akirexer walked Rose to the door.

"I had a great time." Rose drunkenly smiled.

"I'm glad you did. I'm even happier that you no longer hide who you are." Akirexer softly said to Rose.

"She keeps me happy." Rose blushed.

"I have never seen you this happy with anyone before Rose. One would think that this chick is your first love." Akirexer teased with a chuckle.

Rose leaned on her door for support and gazed at Akirexer with her drunken eyes. "She isn't my first love. I don't think you know who my first love is." she twirled her hair with her finger.

Akirexer grinned at her. "I don't think I do but I'm curious to know who."

Rose grinned mischievously at Akirexer and used her finger to ask her to go closer. Akirexer drew closer without thinking and Rose gave her a warm hug. Her lips brushed against Akirexer's earlobe and she felt her warm breath.

"You are my first love." she confessed.

Akirexer was completely dumbfounded. Rose gave her a kiss on her lips and pulled away. Akirexer was astonished by the sincere look in her eyes. Rose waved at the group behind and they waved back. She averted her eyes back to Akirexer and gave her a warm smile.

"I guess I'll see you around." she said.

"Y-yeah." Akirexer was shocked that she found her voice.

Rose waved goodbye to her and gently closed her door. Akirexer walked back to the Benz in shock. Queen Sharaina took notice and raised her eyebrows at her.

"Is there a problem?" she asked with concern.

Akirexer just shook her head. "Come on, let's go." she said in a daze.

"Okay, get in the car." Sharaina told her and they drove off.
