EPILOGUE
~Aphrodite~
"It just seems too...I don't know?! Weird mate!?" He yelled slightly as he walked out of the bathroom and towards me.
I was laying on the bed and smiled, "no." I laughed. "How does that seem weird?" He climbed on the bed and sat down staring at me as I laid on my side. "Mate, it's weird."
"Valdus! How is putting Ekon as beta right now weird!?"
"He's already going to be the next Alpha, I'm not going to switch Liam to Ekon. It's not going to happen. I'm sorry but he's been my beta for a long time, I'm not going to give Ekon the title because he's turning fifteen tomorrow." He growled.
"He's going to learn more stuff-"
"No. You want him to be the next Alpha, then that's what he's going to be. He's not being raised to be the next beta, and if you want that, then go talk to Liam and I'll look for my next Alpha." He said as he eyes started to glow slightly in the moonlight. I stared at him and he sighed. He laid down on his side next to me and draped an arm around me and pulled me till are legs were tangled and our hips were pressed together. "Why would you want that? When I was fifteen, I went on my first conquer. I helped my father conquer a pack and I was the one that killed the Alpha, not given a title of a beta. I wasn't being raised to be a beta, my father was training me to be a Alpha, even though he hated that. That was his job of having a pup, but failed at raising me."
I sighed and closed my eyes, "I just don't know how to do this Valdus. This is hard and I just thought well-"
"Hey, one thing I learned from parenting for always going to Liam's house as a pup, his parents never thought, they just reacted to what he did. They didn't assume he wanted things, if he asked to do it they would say okay but if it was bad thing to do they would reason with him why he shouldn't do it. So just don't think that this might be good on him. Maybe that time when my father took me to invade, maybe that helped me, and maybe that'll help him. So tomorrow I'll take him to one pack that has been on my nerves, and let him do the same thing I did. He's been practicing with Zeke and Cadmar and Helmer. So I think he knows some techniques." He smiled.
"How are you better at this than me?" I said as I placed my hand on his cheek and stared deeply in his eyes.
"I'm trying."

The morning came fast and I was excited but nervous at the same time. This is the first time Valdus was alone with Ekon. And they're both going to kill. When walking down the stairs it made me stop and just stare blankly and think about those things. Oh gosh, they're going to be alone together! What if Valdus gets annoyed and mad by him, because I know what he can do. And they're both on a mission to kill. And Ekon is not better. He's been hurting his own wolves and if he gets mad-.
Oh no, this is a bad idea. I rushed down stairs and rushed outside to where everyone was off to send the warriors off and Valdus and Ekon. They were set north, and everyone was talking to their sons our their daughters about how to come back to them. I rushed into the crowd and I heard them say "Luna." And bow their heads but I didn't advance them or even say hello, I rushed towards the front to where I see Valdus talking to Liam. I stood next to Liam and said, "you can't go Valdus."
His eyebrows furrowed, "What, why?"
"I have a feeling- well not really, just thoughts-"
"Aphrodite. It's going to be fine. I swear. You don't have to worry." He smiled. He grabbed my hand and rubbed the back of my hand with his thumb. "I promise." I whined and didn't say anything. "Luna, I believe that nothing is going to happen." Liam said. I looked over to him and he smiled.
"It's not that. I jus-"
"Mate. We got to leave right now. I promise he's going to be safe okay?" He pulled me close and kissed my lips and smiled. "Promise."
He walked away with Liam and walked to the front of the warriors. I looked to the right and I see Ekon standing tall but staring at the woods not even bothering to talk to other wolves around him. So I walked towards him and placed my hand around his forearm. I looked up towards him since he grown so tall over the years and gave a soft smile. He looked down at me and his face was blank but it seemed that he forced a smile, "Hey mom."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Ek-"
"Look I have to go." He said he gave me a hug and then walked towards Valdus. I watched him as he walked away and see him look at Valdus and say something and then walked right next to him on his left side since Liam was on his right. After that, Valdus shifted and that's when all the wolves followed. Valdus lead the pack by sprinting towards the woods and that's when all the warriors left.
Of course I didn't let all the warriors leave. I still had some of the warriors here to take care of the pack and Helmer even decided to stay back and protect the pack. Wolves filled the woods as they were lead by their Alpha and I was still worry.
When every single one was out of sight every one left and I was still staring at the woods. Five more minutes past and I sighed. I walked back to the estate and went up to my room.

~Valdus~
I had my wolves surround the place as we crept up. Ekon was next to me with his muscles tense and his fur puffed up. We continued forward and I had some of my wolves mindlink telling me that they took down the border patrol already. We continued forward and I started to see the pack. It was sundown already, and everyone was waiting for me to send the go sign.
I descended my claws out and each step I took, my claws felt the dirt. I did a low deep growl and sprung forward and ran towards them. They were all training while the Alpha was walking around them, yelling at them at what was wrong. When he heard me, he turned towards me with wide eyes. His wolves shifted and he did too. My wolves went to any wolf that they saw and did what they were told to do.
Destroy.
As I was about to attack the Alpha, Ekon sprung forward and attacked. I growled and grew frustrated. He's mine first.
I heard barks and growls and bodies hitting the ground but my attention was on this Alpha but Ekon attention was on him too. We both bit and snapped at him and tried to do serious damage on him, and it's a unfair fight but Ekon needs to stand down.
I took a step back and watched at how Ekon attacked at the soft underbelly as the Alpha went to attack his neck. I clamped my mouth on Ekons back and pulled him back till I had him off of him and threw him to the side. I flew onto the Alpha and clamped my jaw around his neck and clamped down hard till I felt his muscles and bones in my teeth. I shook my head and pulled back, taking out a piece of big meat off of him. He fell limply on the ground with his mouth open with wide eyes open. Blood was flowing in my mouth and I felt it in my chin fur. Blood was starting to quickly pool at the empty space of his neck and on the ground where he laid.
I turned towards Ekon and growled. He stood up to me and growled back as he took a step forward. He puffed his fur up and snarled at me. I growled at the disrespect and took a step forward and snapped at him. He tried to jump on me, but I jumped to the side and pushed him sideways till he fell on his side. I jumped on him and pressed my paw on his jaw and one on his rips. I lowered my head and growled and snapped at him. He gave me a growl again but I pressed more pressure into both of my paws.
I gave one more warning and he gave one weak growl till he laid limp and lifted his neck up. I got off of him and looked around. Everyone was looking at me, from my pack, and looking in between Ekon and I. I growled and they looked down and stared at me for their command. I looked around once again and see everyone from this pack dead.
I didn't need this territory. I had enough already. So I started to walk back to where we came. Back to my mate.

When we walked out from the woods, families were waiting and looking behind me, looking for their sons or daughters. Ekon was next to me the whole time but with his head down and never once making a sound. I shifted when I saw Aphrodite and walked towards her. I pulled her close and gave him a long kiss.
"How'd it go?" She whispered as I pulled away.
"Fine." I smiled. She gave me a soft smile and looked at Ekon. He walked past both of us and walked towards the estate.
"What happened?"
"Nothing really. He did fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
I don't know about him. But we'll see.
We'll see.
End
Up next: EKON
