Twenty-four

"What do you want, Luna?" She said as she crossed her arms across her chest as she raised an eyebrow. I was taken back by her tone, but I ignored it. "You were looking at me-"

"Okay? I can't look at anyone?" She spat. She closed the door behind herself and covered it almost with her body.

"No- well. I thought you wanted to talk since you never loo-"

"If I wanted to talk to you Luna, I would've went up to you."

"Okay. Er-"

"Look Luna. Please leave. I don't want to be talking to you, or I don't want you here. Leave me alone and my cousin. We don't want to talk with a Luna-"

"What did I do? I just barely started talking to you guy-"

"Nothing. You did absolutely nothing. It was us. We were to stupid to let our guard down. We're not going to do it again with a new Luna. So please-"

"Look. I heard what happened to the former Luna, but that doesn't mean it would happ-"

"I'm not taking any chances. So, leave me alone. Leave my family alone. Now leave."

I stared at her while she raised an eyebrow challenging me. I wanted to say something back, but I forced a smile, "I'm sorry. It won't happen again." I forced out and turned around with my fist clenched at my side as I walked back to Valdus.

"He did not!" I laughed.

"He did. Honestly I don't know how he did, but he did." He laughed.

"Wait! Tell me again!" I held back the laugh while I bit my lip as a smile appeared on my face.

"Okay, when I don't know, maybe he was like five. He and his best friend, who's the beta now, they went to the woods and tried to shift for the first time." Vivens laughed as he shook his head, "he tried doing since Beta Liam couldn't shift, because he was the first one to try it. So he thought he could because he said 'I have alpha blood. I'm a alpha.' Cocky little kid. Anyway, he tried shifting and next thing you know it, he's running towards me with his back hunched over with some fur out. And his hands somewhat turned to paws. I laughed at him while he was crying since he was so terrified. I didn't want to call Alpha Alcander, it would've been to much. So, I was the one who told him how to shift for the first time." He smiled.

I laughed slightly and he walked closer to me as he stood in front of me. "Open please Luna." I did and he turned on a small flashlight and looked inside of my mouth. He then stuck a stick in my mouth, pushing down my tongue, causing me to gag.

He chuckled slightly, "sorry Luna." He pulled out the stick and then walked towards a little table and wrote down something. My eyes watered while I coughed slightly.

"Your throat is fully healed, and your mark." He walked back and I quickly placed my hair to the side and tilted my neck towards him. It was the left side that got destroyed. He gently places his fingers on it and runs it around. I didn't feel anything. Like, it was completely numb.

"It looks better than before. It's mostly scar tissue. So, it healed but you'll have a scar there. Other than that. You're good to go." He pats my thigh and walks back to the table and then writes something else down.

"Thank you Vivens." I smiled as I climbed off.

"You are very welcome Luna." He looks up from writing and gives me soft smile. I smiled back and was about to walk out but he stopped me. "Luna, if you don't mind me asking. What happen to your mark?"

My heart picked up slightly, "nothing I can't handle."

He gave a soft nod, "okay then. Good bye Luna."

"Good bye Vivens."

"What if I make us dinner, and I get to kiss you as much as I want." He said as his hand run though my hair. I laughed on his chest and tighten my fingers around his shirt.

"You always want something in return."

"Duh, plus who wouldn't. I mean, my mate is pretty darn sexy if you ask me." He purred.

"Wow, who is she?"

"She's the Luna here, I'm pretty sure you seen her."

"No, no I haven't. Is she popular?"

"Well, most of the other Alphas heard about her since she use to be the second strongest Alpha. They all thought that was a joke, but now they heard she's my mate, they basically bow down to her."

"Oh, I haven't heard about her."

"I'm pretty sure you have. It's not like you can't miss her."

"No."

"Oh, you can go look at a mirror, you'll see her." He said smoothly.

I pushed myself off his chest and looked at him. "Why do you want me to go see her so bad?"

"Because. I want you go see how she's strong she is. And how beautiful she is. She's breath taking. She makes my heart skip a beat every time I think of her. She makes my heart pump faster when I see her, and makes me get knots in my stomach when she touches me. Her eyes are so beautiful, I can't look away from them. So, I want you to go look at her because I want you to see it's you that makes those things happen to me." He smiled.

My heart jumped and I couldn't help but stare at him. I didn't have any emotion on my face as he smiled at me. And thats when I threw myself on him, slamming my lips on him.

I walked in front of him as we both walked down stairs. I went to the kitchen and sat on the island. He walked to the fridge and started to look for food.

"What do you want to eat?"

"Doesn't matter. I'm not that hungry." I smiled. He looked over his shoulder, "lier. I'm making something, and you're eating." He then looked back to the fridge and I was about to say something but that's when I saw Alcander walk down the stairs.

He looked to me as I stared at him. He raised an eyebrow but he looked to his son and walked over to him.

"I'm going to the the cellar....I have something to do. Whatever you do, don't go in." He growled. "No matter what you hear or feel in your chest, don't. Come. In." He growled. Valdus stepped back from the fridge and turned towards him.

"Why-"

"Valdus I just need to do this. Okay?" His face soften. When Valdus didn't say anything,that's when Alcander pulled him in for a tight hug and quickly pulled away before Valdus could do anything.

"Be good son, okay?"

"Okay?"

He looked over to me and gave me a nod and quickly walked away, toward the door.

When the door closed I looked to Valdus and see him staring at the door confused.

He then looked to me with wide eyes. "My father is going to kill himself."
