SORA
Today is the day that everyone in the supernatural world will remember that today was the day the world changed.
Kane had been a true leader when it came to protecting his pack, family, and me.
Neighboring packs and packs from around the world had heard what had happened in The Vale.
The news spread like fire and everyone knew what was happening and who was in control.. and it wasn't Lila Grinmorte but a not-so-new player.
The pack has never been so tense yet lively, filled with packs and Alphas.
The testosterone in here right now is very uncomfortable.
"I hope they get him!" Amanda snarls from beside me.
I sigh. "Me too."
"Lucas has not slept in weeks, with all these packs and authority council members from the Vale taking camp in Deepwater, it's like war is inevitable." Amanda says and I feel sick.
I excuse myself and run for the bathroom. Shutting the door I kneel and empty my stomach into the toilet.
"Holy shit Sora are you ok?" Amanda says knocking on the door worried.
"..yeah.." I say before I throw up again, more heavily.
"I'm gonna mink-link Kane-"
"NO!" I say quickly. "Please, it's just stress.." I say as I sit against the wall on the floor and catch my breath. "Please!" I beg.
"Sora I can't he is my Alpha... and I am looking aft-"
I tense on the floor. "You already called him?" I ask bewildered. "He is too busy for this manny!" I say glaring at the door.
"You have been throwing up for a week, I am starting to worry.. you should have told him a week ago Sora!" She says and I groan.
I have felt like shit for weeks but only recently started throwing up.
The pit in my stomach churns at what I already know.
I'm pregnant.
I found out a week ago and I have not told Kane, not when he is so busy running multiple packs and training wolves for an unstoppable war, all while he is barely sleeping and managing all this.
I definitely did not want to worry him when he has so much going on to protect me and his people from being slaughtered.
Everyone has basically put their lives in his hands and that pressure alone makes me terrified for him, I could not do what he is doing with ease.
"He's on his way Sora, you should talk to him.. I will be back tonight.." Amanda whispers against the door.
I steady my heartbeat and the urge to throw up at knowing Kane is on his way and I will have to tell him. Oh fuck why am I so nervous about him knowing.
Oh yeah, because of what is going on in the world right now..
A part of me is terrified.
The other is excited to have a life growing inside me, a part of me and Kane.
Not too long later I am splashing my face with water and unlocking the door.
I hear Kane's voice before I see him.
"SORA?" His concerned voice echoes from downstairs.
I sigh. "Up here!" I yell back. And I hear his heavy footsteps coming up the stairs.
And then I see him, he still makes my palms sweat and mouth water. But he is clearly visibly tense and tired.
"Hey.. Are you ok? I hurried here, Amanda said you were sick." He says frowning as he puts his large hand on my forehead.
"You're warm." His frown deepens.
My stomach churns and I feel sick again. "I.. can we sit?" I ask nervously.
He stares at me concerned and nods, I walk downstairs and I sit on the sofa in the living room and he sits beside me.
"I'm not sick." I blurt out. He visibly relaxes and I feel my heartbeat quicken.
"I'm pregnant."
His facial expressions change to relaxation, confusion, and then to surprise. He blinks and stares at my stomach, bewildered.
"Pregnant?" He says deeply and I nod.
His large hand touches my belly and he closes his eyes and exhales.
His eyes are glowing his stunning Alpha yellow when he opens them again and my nerves are jumpy. "Fuck babe.. this is the best thing to ever happen to me." He says excitedly. He stands up and pulls me up with him as he wraps his large muscular arms around me protectively. "You're having our pup!." He says with a goofy wide grin as he puts his hands on either side of my face.
"I love you so much, little mate." He states as he stares into my eyes with a big grin.
I begin to feel my nerves go as I smile and laugh with him. "I love you too." I as my eyes begin to water.
"Don't cry baby, a part of us now grows inside you." He says gently as he kisses my forehead.
He looks beyond happy, which only makes me happier to see him like this, other than stressed.
There's a knock on the door that startles me and makes Kane growl.
"Who is it!?" Kane says as his eyes glare at the door and his hold on me tightens slightly as he stands in front of me, as if in a sign of protection.
"Alpha, it's Larson."
Larson?
Kane tenses as he squeezes my hand then goes to answer the door, he blocks the view of the wolfman Larson and they begin to talk in a hushed tone.
I begin to feel uneasy as Kane's back tensed and his voice begins to become louder.
It's scary seeing him switch moods this fast, but I know it's because he is an Alpha.. but not just any Alpha.. one with royal blood. It scares me to know he has this much power and authority in his tone and he can command at will.
The paranormal world is simply out of this world.
"Sora?" Kane's voice brings me back from my thoughts as I look up to see him smiling down at me lovingly.
"Sorry, yes?" I say sheepishly.
He rubs his temple and then turns to nod towards the man Larson. "This is Larson, he and his mate Emma will be staying here in the guest wing."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Luna." Larson says politely to me as he bows before me.
I nod shyly, still not used to the title. "Nice to meet you, call me Sora." I say as I put my hand out to shake.
He stares at my hand confused and Kane laughs.
"Babe, no wolf would dare touch you." He says amusingly with a possessive glint in his eyes.
I feel my face getting hotter. "Oh, did I insult you? I'm so sorry.." I shutter out.
Larson's eyes go wide as he shakes his head. "Of course not Luna, it's very rude to touch a mated female, even more so a Luna who is with pups."
