SORA

I woke up suddenly from a loud snapping and immense pain throughout my whole body as I feel a body shift next to me.

What is happening to me? Is this it? The shift!

My whole body aches with pains I never have experienced before, so many new pains I can't put into words.

I hear a voice but by the time I hear it I don't focus on that but the bending and turning of my body without my will, everywhere hurts and all I want is Kane, I need Kane, my whole body screams for him.

I'm here Sora, feel me and listen to my voice. A voice in my head tells me and I don't know how to think or feel about this new experience as I lay in agony.

Nobody told me it would hurt THIS much.

I feel my body being lifted and once I feel skin touching mine I know it's Kane, he's with me but I can't see him, I feel my eyes open but unable to see. I finally start to feel what Kane feels every time he is near or touching me. It's beautiful and amazing, the touch is like sparks that bring instant happiness and love throughout my body and I'm instantly at peace.

The pain is not as bad as it once was now that I know Kane is here, he's sharing the plan with me, I just know and feel it. In my mind and body, he is telling me it's all good and he won't let anything happen to me.

I feel ready, confident in myself to join my mate and our people as their Alpha female.

I hear words of encouragement and a presence of family around me, giving me words of praise and confidence as I feel the soft texture of the grass beneath me, I feel at home when I smell the floor bed, the fresh air of Deepwater, all are welcoming me with open arms as I twist and turn, snapping and popping in my ears as I fight through the transformation of the shift.

I feel exhausted, I try so hard to open my eyes to see but it's bright, colors are blurry and all I see are blurred shapes, my body feels strange and I feel more grounded, strong and my sense of smell is way more advantaged.

"We are one now Sora." A strong confident voice says in my mind and I know it's my wolf. She's talking to me.

"What is your name?" I ask my wolf as I start to feel a deep connection to her thoughts and feelings, they are like mine but clear.

"My name is Kaya, I am happy we are together as one, finally." She says and I sigh in relief, feeling the same way.

"Sora? Can you move?" I hear Kane say as I look but all I can see is the shape of him over me blurred out.

I try my best to speak but it feels impossible.

"We shifted, your body will need time, then we run with mate, I can't wait to meet mate." Kaya says happily and I whine.

I begin to blink my eyes repeatedly as my vision begins to get better, my head feels larger and my legs and arms feel tired. This is such a peculiar feeling I can't grasp.

I watch Kane as I see him taking his clothes off, my wolf kaya and I purr in delight at how happy we are that Kane's wolf is shifting to be with us.

I feel a wet snout shove me gently as I blink and begin to lift my heavy tired body from the grass floor, everything feels so difficult but the feel of Kane and his wolf Dex helping with his touch and encouragement makes me and my wolf ever more persistent in standing.

"That's my girl, I'm so proud of you baby." Kane says and I freeze. I heard him, I heard him in my head.

"This is insane." I mutter myself.

"This is only the beginning mate." Kane says amused as I hear him through mind-link again.

How is he doing that? And how am I doing that?

The baby! Oh god how did I forget, with all that pain from the shift how did I forget?

"The baby.. is it okay? Did I hurt them? Kane?" I call out panicked.

I feel a long strong wet tongue lick me over my eye and face. "Our pup is healthy, the shift makes them more strong Sora, you are amazing." Kane says and I sigh satisfied.

"You've never used your wolf's body before, it's going to be a minute before your muscles adjust, listen to your wolf and let her guide you, I'm here too with you mate." Kane says and I nod confidently as I feel my larger head nod slightly

I look down and I see white fur where my legs were supposed to be and I stare mesmerized by how beautiful and soft my coat is, wow.

"Mate is right, Kaya body is strong but Sora is also strong, together we stand then we join mate as we run." Kaya says as we both begin to stand on our front paws.

Holy crap.

I feel the strength in my muscles beginning to adjust as I confidently and swiftly begin to raise my back paws to stand. My eyesight pops into focus and it's truly amazing.

I see everything from a distance, I hear sounds I never would have heard if I were human. Feel and touch now give me a sensation of that object. The grass, I feel sounds and vibrations from creatures I'm the distance as I tap my paw on the ground.

Woah.

I begin to walk slowly on my shaky legs as I feel Kane's wolf beside me, his head supporting my lower body as I begin to walk.

I see Kane's wolf for the third time since I have known him and even now, he is beautiful. Black shiny coat with piercing yellow eyes, a strong jaw, and my powerful body. His wolf is as beautiful as the man.

"Our mate is strong, we have good mate, mate is all ours, we love mate so much." Kaya says dreamily as we stare at our mate as Kane stares back at us, with his giant piercing eyes I feel so much love from.

I feel so much more confident walking on my own now, Kane had removed his snout from beneath me and me and my wolf are walking on our own.
