Training with the boss

Can he just leave? Can he sense my discomfort? How uneasy I am now that he is here? How can I even start my training with him?

I hope he just walked by and happened to see us and decided to say hi.

And not stay here for long…

But judging from the looks of it, I think not…

I stared back at him, “Morning, Alpha.”

He blinked as if not expecting me to greet him.

He cleared his throat, “Morning. How’s the training?”

“It’s…good,” I replied. “It’s just…new to me.”

He glanced at Mark, “Are you even training her properly?”

“I am. We were just going to get on the good part but you butted in.” Mark replied and I glanced at him…

Uhm…as far as I can remember, Mark is working under him? How can he talk to his boss like that?

It seemed to happen always that Alpha Ace let it pass. He must be used to it.

“Move. I’ll do it personally.”

Mark scowled at him, “Uhh, I thought you were in a meeting?”

“They canceled it.” He simply replied, his sharp jaw clenching and unclenching.

“Are you sure? Or did you cancel it yourself?” Mark teases and this makes Alpha glare at him.

He seemed to not like his underling's comment as he stopped, “Don’t test me. Leave us now, Mark. You did your job already.”

Mark sighed, looking at me with a sad look as if he didn’t want to leave me and was just forced out and walked away on his own.

I feel my heart beating rapidly more now that I realized we are alone. My palms were sweating and I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.

He glanced at me, “I saw how you moved earlier. I guess we have to start at the basics.”

I paused, basics? Am I that weak?

Damn him. I’ll show him the truly weak.

“Are you sure? I mean I’m not that athletic, but I think I could easily beat my bullies up.” I responded and his stone-cold face suddenly formed a smirk.

“I see you have fire in yourself. Keep that going, dear. Because This will be a long ride, Kira.”

I fought the urge to roll my eyes at his comment. Damn him.

His sentence seemed to be encouraging me but the way he said it…his tone somehow sounds condescending and sarcastic.

“You humans are weak. Why dare to defend your clan?”

Aunt says I am one of them too…something called werewolf? Yet this man who calls himself alpha here mocks my whole identity.

Damn him. With that kind of attitude, I don’t have to guess why he doesn't have any mates with him.

I suddenly realized it. The reason why I was chosen. Maybe it was the universe's way of telling me to tame this arrogant bossy bastard of an alpha.

Perhaps he would learn his lesson.

I smirked, suddenly wanting this plan. While I stall for a few minutes and think of a way how to escape, I’ll try to do that mission.

And that time starts now.

“Return here tomorrow at five in the morning. Dare to be late and I’ll be punishing you.” He threatened, and although his tone was arrogant and cold, it didn’t affect me at all.

All I could think about was having him kneel to me. Having him change that attitude.

I’ll make him fold so much that he would regret saying all those insults to me.

Just then, my journey with him was not as good as that. He would have me train earlier than anyone else. It was still five in the morning yet he stormed into my room.

With my eyes closed, I could see his face haunting me.

I rolled my eyes, he’s also appearing in my dream?

“Wake up, sleepy head. You’re hell week’s going to start now.”

He said and as soon as I could hear him talking, I felt like I was being brought back from my dream.

I huffed, feeling sweat reeking from my forehead, and seeing the alpha’s face first thing in the morning is not helping me.

“To the training field. Now.”

He stormed off and I stared blankly at the wall, still in a daze, and realized he did appear here in my room and just threatened me.

I instantly got up on my feet and prepared, washing my face and changing into the workout clothes that Mark left in the closet.

Once prepared, I went to the training field where the alpha was leaning on the tree.

He glared at me, “Having guts to make the alpha wait.” He commented, “Since you are late, I’ll double the pushups you’ll have.”

I furrowed my eyebrows, “Huh? Why?” This is not fair! So not fair!

He raised his eyebrows, giving a reaction as to why I was even reacting that way. “It’s your punishment. You seem to not get intimidated or threatened despite my warnings.”

I scoffed, “Why should I be threatened?”

He looked irritated now and something inside me wants to irritate him more.

Damn, I have nothing to fear now. I’ll go ahead and trigger him all I want because I know already that he couldn’t get rid of me.

Instantly, I felt hands gripping my neck, “You seem to not understand the situation you are in. I have to teach you this lesson then.”

I glared at him, pushing his hand off of me. “Don’t touch me.”

“Why? You are my mate. I can do anything I want. I can touch you anywhere I want.” His hand was still attached to me and I just wanted to punch him right there.

“This is sexual harassment,” I complained more, not letting him treat me like this.

Despite all my screams, he just smirked, still maintaining his composure, “Report me then. Let’s see if the police come for me.”

I just wanted to kick that smirk off of his face. He’s a major red flag.

“Psh, Definitely not my type,” I mumbled as I rolled my eyes. He seemed to hear it as he faced me,

“What’s your type then?” He asked curiously.

“I don’t know. Someone opposite from you. Not someone Overbearing, arrogant, and bossy like you. Maybe someone like Mark.”

He clenched his jaw, “My beta? You’re choosing a beta over your alpha mate?”

I nodded and I just closed my eyes for a minute when I felt him leaning into me and staring at my lips. “Will you choose my beta after this?” And I felt him slamming his lips on mine.
