Chapter 13
I shivered. His naked body pressed against me, everywhere his skin touched mine tingled.
Alpha Colton pulled away. His expression still blank. Just staring at me. “Take her to get her things and talk to Tommy. That old bastard has left me three voicemails since last night. He and CeCe are ready to storm the castle to come get her. Deal with them.” He said as he walked away.
“Is it just me or does the cold dead stare turn you on too.” Laila purred in my head.
“I would really prefer a man who doesn’t look at me like he hates me.” I told her.
Beta Lucas stood there picking eggs and other food out of his hair. “I best take a shower first. I asked Willow to swing by and drop off some clothes that should fit. You and her look about the same size.”
A knock at the door had Beta Lucas crinkling his nose at me. “Sarah!” He yelled in the direction of the kitchen.
“Yes.” She yelled back.
“You mind getting the door.” He shouted.
She came out of the kitchen wiping her hands on a long floral cooking apron. “You’re right there why don’t you get it.” She replied with a grin.
“Becauuuuuse, Sarah.” He drug out the word dramatically. “I look like a human food processor and Alpha would be pissed if anyone saw me like this.”
“Maybe you should have thought about that before you started a food fight with him.” She said to him.
“How do you know I started it. Frankly Sarah I’m offended that you just assume I started it.” He said acting innocent.
“So, you didn’t then?” She hummed.
“I have to go shower. Bye!” He said before bolting out of the room.
“Chicken.” She called after him. She hung her apron up outside the kitchen. Straightening her clothes as she walked to the door. Her demeanor changed completely. Opening the door she softly greeted Willow.
“Omega Willow, won’t you come in.” She gestured in my direction.
“Wow!” She exclaimed. “No wonder Beta Lucas summoned me. You look like a little kid playing dress up.”
As Willow handed me one of the duffle bags, she brought the sleeve of the sweatshirt slipped covering my hand and hanging down a few extra inches after that.
“Which way to your room, I threw in a bunch of different things. I wasn’t sure what you liked.” She followed me back into my room.
When we first walked in, I stopped. The bed was made, my clothes were gone, and fresh towels hung in the bathroom.
“What’s wrong.” Willow asked.
“Nothing I guess.” I told her while putting the duffle on the freshly made bed. “I didn’t pick up my room before I went in for breakfast.” I finally said.
“Sarah is a ninja! When I stayed here everything was clean all the time and I didn’t even know she was here. You so much and turn around and poof everything as it should be.” She giggled.
“You stayed in my room?” My question came out considerably harsher than I had intended it to.
“Absolutely not! This is an Alpha suite I’m not even allowed in this wing of the house let alone in one of these rooms.” She said.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“The pack house is divided into three wings. This is the Alpha wing, which is reserved of visiting Alpha’s and Beta’s of other packs.”
I didn’t mean to, but I interrupted her. “Other packs? There’s more.”
“Of course, there’s thousands in our country. Some countries have more.” She said as she started unpacking the bags.
“Anyway. Then there’s the training wing. That’s where we all get to hang out when we do our monthly training.”
“Training for what?” I felt bad I had cut her off again. “I’m sorry.” I said looking down at my toes.
“Your old pack didn’t have training?” She asked.
“I didn’t have a pack.” I replied.
“So, you really were a rogue?” Her eyes widened.
“I don’t know what that is.” I told her.
“How?” She sat down on the bed and just looked at me.
“I grew up in an orphanage. Until yesterday I thought I was schizophrenic because there’s a voice in my head.”
“So, you legit thought you were human. Bazaar. So, what kind of clothes do you like?” She asked.
I just stood there chewing on my lip. Luckily, she seemed to realize I knew nothing about clothes and quickly took over.
“I have a ton of clothes, let’s just try some stuff on and see what fits.” She began pulling out clothes and holding them up to me before she seemed satisfied with a pair of jean shorts and the smallest top I’ve ever seen.
“What is this?” I asked holding up the shirt.
“It’s a bralette top.” She replied happily. “Just trust me. Go put them on.”
I slipped everything on, still feeling quite naked. After a while she tapped on the bathroom door.
“Everything ok in there.” She asked.
“Ya, are you sure there isn’t more to it.”
“More to what?” She asked.
“Any of it. I don’t feel like I’m wearing enough clothes.” Laila on the other hand thought we looked great.
“Just come out and let me see.” She insisted.
I poked my head out first, sure enough she was standing right outside the door. Bouncing on her toes excitedly. “Come on! Let me see.”
Walking out with my arms crossed over my very exposed stomach.
Willow let out a loud whistle. “Girl, if I had a body like that, I’d definitely show it off. Not hide it behind baggy sweatshirts.”
I could feel my cheeks heat as I swung my arms out a little.
“Give me a spin.” She hummed.
I did a little circle only to burst out laughing when she started cat calling at me.
“How do you feel about makeup?” She asked.
“I’m really good at mascara and lip gloss.” I told her proudly.
“Do you trust me.” She asked mischievously.
“Do I have a choice?” I asked.
“Absolutely not! You’re like the sister I never had.” She dumped the contents of a small bag all over the bed.
When she was done with my makeup and hair, she wouldn’t even let me look. Just pushed me down the hall to meet Beta Lucas in the foyer.
