Chapter 9
Leading the way Beta Lucas took a right at the end of the hall before stopping at two big wooden doors. Like the foundation two wolves holding up what I could now tell was supposed to be the moon were hand carved into the door. One wolf on either side with the moon split in half where the doors would open.
Beta Lucas took one handle while the other man took the second. Pushing the doors open the light was blinding at first. Two long glass windows on one side of the room showered it with daylight. My eyes strained to adjust from the dark hall.
The man inside resting his backside against the desk with his legs stretched forward and crossed at the ankles looked as though he had been waiting for us.
His pitch-black hair and dark tan skin made his blue eyes shine. The five o’clock shadow on his face did nothing to hide his chiseled square jaw line and high cheekbones. As he shifted slightly his shirt strained against his muscles.
“Omega Zeke, your dismissed. Beta Lucas close the doors.” The man said. The darker haired man turned quickly and left. Beta Lucas closing the doors behind him.
The sleeve of his shirt stretching to its limit as he brought his index finger to his mouth. For the longest time he just looked at me.
I looked down at my feet once again reminded that there was a hole in the toe of my shoe. I looked up at him through my eyebrows before abruptly looking away again.
He stood up walking over to me. Laila purring in my head, completely distracted by his smell. Unlike the others he smelled of eucalyptus and mint, fresh and clean like after it rains.
Putting my chin between his thumb and index fingers he forced my face up until I was looking directly into his eyes.
“So, you were meant to be Blane’s mate, as if that bastered deserves one.” He growled
I had no idea what to say. Laila pushed forward and snapping harshly. “He rejected me, whatever that means.”
“Hmm.” He hummed to himself. “Firey wolf you’ve got there.” He said to me.
He walked over to a small bar on the right side of the room. Pouring three glasses of an amber colored liquid before cutting his palm with a knife his blood dripping into one of the glasses. Grabbing a towel and dabbing the wound it seemed to heal before my eyes.
He grabbed one of the glasses and handed it to Beta Lucas who graciously took it and sat on the long couch by the window.
“And what is your name?” He asked with a smile.
“Laila.” She growled back at him. I was relieved she had somewhat snapped out of it, but she was taking the pain she felt out on this man. I wasn’t so sure that was a wise choice.
“And your mortal companion.” The sneer coming across his face making him devilishly handsome.
“Amanda.” I replied. My voice shaky.
“Full name little one.” He said and he walked over and bopped my nose causing me to make a face at him.
“Amanda Heartly.” I replied. This was the second time in one day some strange man asked for my full name.
He handed me a glass, red swirls of blood still dancing in it. “Drink.” He said.
My nose crinkled as I looked up at him.
He moved closer his hand wrapping around my neck and drinking his glass in one shot. “Drink.” He said deeper and more demanding.
“Do it.” Laila urged.
Tilting my head back I took the contents of the glass in one hard swallow.
“I Alpha Colton Graham of the Twin Wolves pack claim you Amanda Heartly as my slave. I bind you to me with my blood and now you are mine.” He growled.
All the pain from earlier washed away in an instant. My body tingling everywhere his skin touched mine. He moved closer. Both terrified and exhilarated at the same time. His hand around my neck didn’t hurt, just enough pressure to let me know I wasn’t allowed to look away. Staring into the deep pools of his eyes his full lips no more than an inch from mine. His chest brushing lightly against my left breast with every inhale. I could feel his pulse in his growing erection as he pressed it firmly against my side.
Laila began to purr and before I could stop her, she sucked his bottom lip into my mouth and bit down.
The hand around my neck tightened and his other wrapped around my waist. He let out a groan closing his eyes and pressing his hard body against mine. The arm around my waist disappeared and his grip on my neck got even tighter as he pushed me away. Just enough to release him but still in contact with every part of him.
Moving his thumb to the side of my jaw he pushed my face to the side exposing my neck. Running his canines from my collar bone to my ear he whispered. “I hope he feels it when I fuck you.”
With that he stepped away. Looking at the other man I had completely forgotten was in the room. “Show her to her quarters.” He said before turning away.
“Yes Alpha.” Beta Lucas said before downing his own shot.
“Come.” He said.
I didn’t want to go with him. I was scared and my head spinning but my body moved of its own will. “Laila stop, we have to get out of here.” I pleaded with her.
“I can’t.” She desperately said back. “It’s like he’s physically pulling me behind him.”
Twisting and turning we made our way up a large staircase to the third floor. Beta Lucas produced a key from his pocket unlocking the door.
The door creaked open to reveal a big beautiful four post bed. Pale sea foam green bed spread, and drapes sparkled with hints of silver in the light. The full-length windows overlooking an orchard with hundreds of trees lined up. The large back yard full of children and adults. The children happily playing while it looked like the adults were fighting each other.
“Well, if we’re going to get kidnapped at least it’s by a handsome man with a mansion.” I joked.
“First of all, I would say kidnapped is excessive. We were aggressively escorted.” Laila joked back.
Suddenly my limbs felt heavy, the overwhelming urge to lay down hit me. I flipped down on the bed it wrapped around me like warm fluffy clouds.
