Arya and Kira

Alpha Kai was too heavy to carry as I was also limping on our way.

And I was happy enough that the newcomer Alpha Ace, had arrived and tried to help me but then he gave up when I almost stumbled over, seeing my struggle as he pushed my hand away and took my previous position. “You’re too slow. We’ll lose him if I let you carry him.”

I watched as he carried his friend to the inside of the red crow's pack house.

On our way there, I could see the red crows kneeling on their knees, begging for the mercy of alpha ace. But the alpha ace beside me didn't even bother to glance at them as he instructed something on another man that I could recognize as his beta, Beta Mark, which is by far the strongest beta I know.

He entered the infirmary room and then a newcomer who I am suspecting was the pack doctor came in.

It didn’t take long for him to take Alpha Kai to safety. They were all looking at me, probably thinking why a rogue like me has a mate like him?

Well, none of their stares even made sense to me as my eyes were only focused on Alpha Kai.

My heart was beating fast as all I could hear was ringing in my ears. This is the second time that I felt nervous about alpha kai’s life now, first was earlier when he was triggering alpha Elijah and now, as he lay there breathless and unmoving, almost like a dead body, screams some panic in me.

It won't be soon that worms will flood his infected wound.

It seems that the alpha doctor was asking me about something but I couldn't listen to what they are saying to me as all I could do was stare blankly. I noticed Alpha Ace, who seemed to grow tired of my senseless nods sighed.

hen glanced at a woman nearby. The woman had quite normal features.

But something seems unusual. I do not have to sniff my nose to know that she is a human.

A plain-looking woman. It made me wonder why a plain-looking woman was at alpha ace’s crimson pack. Well, the more shocking is how the famous intimidating Alpha Ace, the Lycan king, seems to have his scent on her.

I already knew he claimed her to know that they were mates from the scent and the mark on her neck.

Because as far as I know, it was alpha Ace that hated the most humans. Well, I think he was mateless for a while now.

If I were born a normal werewolf who doesn't have the dal with survival every day and doesn't have to roam around trying for scraps of food then perhaps I would have already liked Alpha Ace since he;

And this woman right here might have been my greatest rival for me. But I do not have time to think about this when one of my mates, my most hated one, is fighting for his life.

Damn, if Kai were to die just like that, I won't ever let him pass away, and would haunt him even in death.

I still have gotten my revenge for goodness sake.

My attention returned to the woman in front of me who has curious eyes as she stare blatantly at me. She seems to want to approach me for a while now but I glared at her.

The woman looked at me, and then her soft brown eyes lingered on my neck and her eyes turned soft, “You're injured too.”

I unconsciously held my neck and I only noticed how painful it was.

It must have been from my fight earlier with Alpha Elijah. That damn bastard. I could still remember how hard he gripped my neck but look at him now...gone from his pack.

“I wouldn’t touch that if I were you," I heard her saying and I raised my eyebrows, wanting to rebut her but before I could open my mouth, she already inched closer to me as she grabbed my hand and whispered.

“Here, let me help you. I am Kira by the way… your name is Arya right?”

Instinctively, I pushed her away as her human scent bothered my nose and I couldn't bear to have her near, “No, you’re a human.”

She blinked at that, seeing nothing wrong with it, “So?”

“And you are mated with the Lycan king…”

“And?"

I sighed, is she just a pushover or is she that dense?

“This would cause a ruckus in our world. You should not have come to us.”

She sighed, "I already know that. But I want to just help you treat the scrape on your neck instead of you sulking in that corner waiting for your lovely mates to be brought back to life.”

I glared at her, “He’s not my….lovely mate.”

A smirk played on her lips at that, “Well, it seems to me that he is…or do you hate him?”

I gave her a deadpan look, having no sense in talking to her as she was just annoying me more.

“Did someone tell you how prying an irritating you are?”

“Uhm no?”

“Well, you are.”

she chuckled at that, “Well, I know that too.”

Tsk, is a know-it chick who seems to be in the wrong place. “Do you know the situation you are in? You are in the most dangerous place in the whole world. you are the prey, and we prey on the likes of you. Ah, especially to loud and annoying chicks who seem to not have any good business.”

“What’s safer than being with the most dangerous man around?” She asked, “You seem to be misunderstanding something. I came here to die. I’ve already been through worse. I’ve witnessed so much worse. Lost my loved ones, and been treated like shit. I did not have the luxury to be a rogue princess like you.”

I gritted my teeth, nearly attacking her, “you don’t know my life.”

“And you don’t know me too. so its a tie.” She replied and I just gnawed on my teeth angrily, glaring at the door in front of me and trying to pretend that she was not in the same room.

“Aren’t you scared?” She suddenly asked through the silence and I pretended not to hear her but she seems to not get the message as she repeated herself, “Hey are you deaf? I asked you a question.”

I sighed, “If you want to talk to someone, got talk to the trees, atleast they’ll listen.”

“You now I am being kind and offering you company here.”

“well stop being kind, woman! if you are not alpha ace’s woman then I might have already snapped your head into two.”

“Tsk, you really have anger issues, do you?”

“And you really have a prying nose, do you?” I fired back.

“Good. At least, you are sacred to my mate. So are yo scared of losing your mate?”

“I’m not scared. I’m angry if he just passes away like that. I would bring hi back to hell if I have to just to see him breathe again if that append. that damn alpha has many debts to me. he owes me my revenge and yet he still hasn't given it to me.’

As I said that, there was a small silly smile appeared on her face, "you love him."

That took me aback and I took a step back, "No, I don't."

“Yes, you do. Tsk, you're just like me." she said, “don’t worry I won’t tell him.”

I instantly walked fast to her and gripped her neck but then, the door opened, and Alpha ace appeared.

“Wjat is hapenign here?” His deep voice boomed the whole room and both of us topped in our tracks. My hands that were hung up in the air dropped and I stood up properly. The woman stood relaxed and ALpha Ace came to her side as his hand snaked around her waist protectively. “did she hurt you, my love?”

I raised my eyebrows at the woman. Oh, her name is Kira. I waited if she would lie to him.

Well, I only verbally abused and threatened her…but I didn’t physically hurt her so that doesn’t count right?”

Anyways, I am f&cked up if Alpja Ace decided that I abused his mate.

“No.” Kira suddenly replied, “Anyways, what is the condition inside?”

“I cannot say for certain.” He only replied, glazing at my reaction.

I nodded, but I couldn't miss out on the look on Kira’s face. SHe has this expression that says,

“You owe me.”

I just rolled my eyes, not able to say anything to her, and fire back again since her mate is here now.

"Who's Arya?" I jumped at the sudden question form inside. it was one of the pack doctors, looking around the room.

"Me." I stepped forward, waiting for his instruction.

He had this sad expression as he says, "He wanted you to stay there. “We’re losing him.”
