#681 - Mark's Bizarre Adventure
Angstrom Levy's experiment caused problems with his appearance and mental state, leading him to mistakenly believe Mark was the culprit behind his disfigurement.
Angstrom Levy was born with the ability to traverse different dimensional worlds.
He had personally witnessed the battle between Omni-Man and Invincible.
The battle resulted in Omni-Man abandoning his plan to conquer Earth because of Invincible's words, "Five hundred years from now, at least I'll still have you, Dad," and directly leaving Earth.
Although the outcome was positive, the endings in other dimensions observed by Angstrom Levy were not so favorable.
In other dimensional worlds, Omni-Man and his son ultimately joined forces to conquer Earth, leading to the complete domination of Earth by the Viltrumites, and the widespread slaughter of Earth's humans by the two.
Before Mark's arrival, Bruce had a dream.
He dreamed that Mark conquered Earth and turned Atom Eve into a vegetable.
The dream that Bruce saw was one of these dimensions.
Through the exploration of these different dimensions, Angstrom Levy discovered that although almost every dimension with Mark would be invaded by him, he also found that each dimension had its own unique value.
Technology, knowledge, and ideas all had varying degrees of innovation.
If the knowledge and ideas of these different dimensions could be combined, then the problems of war, famine, and cancer in his own world would be completely solved.
Therefore, he gathered all versions of himself from each dimension together.
He also set up thousands of clones in safe houses in different dimensions, using them to learn the technology and wisdom of each dimension, and then copying the knowledge of everyone into himself.
In this way, he would become the most powerful brain, thereby solving the problems faced by each dimension and defeating the evil version of Mark.
However, the experiment did not go smoothly.
Invincible, unaware of the situation, came to stop him, resulting in an accident in the laboratory.
The explosion turned the entire laboratory into ruins.
Angstrom Levy survived the experiment, but also mutated.
He gathered the knowledge of all versions of himself from all dimensions, but also absorbed the hatred of all versions of himself for Mark.
"You killed so many people, people I knew, people I loved, millions of people died because of you."
The memory-confused Angstrom Levy looked at Mark angrily, "I will make you pay with blood."
"I think I must have made a mistake, I haven't hurt anyone."
Mark said to him with a frown, "I haven't done anything to you."
"No, it's all your fault!"
Saying that, the angry Angstrom Levy pushed Debbie, who was holding the baby, hard to the ground.
The baby in Debbie's arms immediately cried.
"I was going to save the world! All the worlds!"
Seeing the other party becoming more and more agitated, Mark reached out to comfort him: "You need help, let me help you."
"I don't need any help!"
Angstrom Levy held his head, "I have the best doctors in a dozen dimensions, they saved my life, rebuilt my body, but even they can't fix this!"
"So from now on, I will always be like this, reminding you of the 'good things' you did to me!"
Looking at the frantic Angstrom Levy, and then looking at Debbie and the crying child on the ground, Mark's fists gradually clenched.
Angstrom Levy also noticed Mark clenching his teeth, with an angry expression.
He narrowed his eyes and said to Mark, "You want to attack, then come on."
The two's eyes met.
Mark could no longer restrain himself, and with an angry roar, he rushed towards Angstrom Levy.
Angstrom Levy, who was already prepared, instantly constructed a green portal in front of himself.
With a "bang", Mark rolled out of the portal and crashed to the ground.
Getting up from the ground, Mark looked at the surrounding buildings, with a confused expression on his face.
Where did he come to?
He was in a metal ruin, the rusty wreckage of cars entwined with vines, and tall buildings covered with unknown vegetation.
Mark muttered to himself.
His voice startled a Tyrannosaurus Rex who was reading an electronic newspaper, the creature turned its head, its pupils behind gold-rimmed glasses suddenly contracting.
"Human!" The Tyrannosaurus Rex shouted in fluent English, "Guards! There's a human here! I've discovered an already extinct homo sapiens!"
A piercing alarm sounded through the sky.
Mark saw the dinosaur police at the end of the street pull out weapons—not ordinary firearms, but some kind of plasma beam-emitting device.
Mark instinctively leaped, a blue beam grazed his boot, burning a large hole in the billboard behind him.
Then Mark quickly flew forward, but the next second a green portal opened in front of him.
"Bang!"
Mark passed through the portal, rolling and smashing onto the stairs in the room.
"Welcome back."
Angstrom Levy's voice sounded near him, "I like this child's skin color, very unique, which allows him to have something to talk about at parties, of course, provided he lives to the age he attends parties."
Mark quickly looked at the other party, and found Angstrom Levy holding Omni-Man's child, looking down and talking to the baby.
While saying that, Angstrom Levy walked towards him holding the baby.
"You know what? Mark, I haven't seen him in any other reality, isn't that interesting?"
Mark stood up, panting slightly, clenched his fists, and said to him, "If you dare to hurt him, I swear I will—"
Soon his words were interrupted by Angstrom Levy.
"What do you want to do? Kill me? Of course you will, but don't worry, I have no intention of hurting your brother or your mother, oh, sorry, it should be your counterpart's brother and mother."
He held the blue-skinned baby and said in a slow and unhurried tone, "They are safe, before I realize—the only way I can hurt you is to hurt them."
Saying that, he threw the baby to the ground, "So just consider it doing them a favor, go die!"
"No!"
Seeing the baby being thrown to the ground, Debbie let out a desperate cry, and a person pounced over, catching the child with her body.
She herself slammed heavily on the ground.
Seeing Debbie's mouth overflowing with blood, Mark roared and rushed towards Angstrom Levy.
Angstrom Levy immediately constructed a green portal in front of himself.
After pulling the roaring Mark into the portal, he himself was staggered back a few steps by the impact of Mark's charge.
Mark felt himself being torn in the void, with Angstrom Levy's crazy laughter in his ears.
When he opened his eyes again, what came into view was a hellish scene.
He stood in the middle of a towering tower, the air filled with the pungent smell of smoke and blood.
In the distance, huge spires burned under a dark red sky, like torches inserted into the earth, alarms rising and falling, mixed with the hum of laser weapons and the roar of explosions.
"Where is this...?"
Mark muttered to himself as he looked around.
His super hearing captured countless screams and prayers, as well as some disturbing whispers, as if echoing directly in his brain.
Suddenly, a heavy footstep came.
Mark turned around and saw a behemoth walking out of the smoke—it was a giant wearing power armor, the armor covered with profane symbols and distorted faces.
Mark's super vision could see those symbols wriggling, like living things.
"Another sacrifice."
The giant let out a low laugh, his voice like metal rubbing, "I think the Blood God will like you."
Before Mark could react, the giant had already raised a chainsword and rushed over.
The blade made a piercing roar, the air filled with the smell of oil and blood.
Mark instinctively dodged, the chainsword grazed his body, tearing a hideous crack in the metal wall behind him.
"Wait, we don't need to—"
Before Mark could finish speaking, a plasma cannon hit the spot where he had just been standing.
The shockwave of the explosion sent him flying, smashing through the glass curtain wall behind him.
Angstrom Levy, unaware that Mark had entered the Warhammer world, stared at Debbie holding the baby.
"You just said you wouldn't hurt us."
Debbie endured the pain and said to him, panting slightly.
Angstrom Levy shook his head, "No, I didn't say that, I just said you are temporarily safe, as long as this Mark accepts the punishment he deserves."
Saying this, he patted his head, "Oh right, forgot about Mark."
Saying that, he opened a portal.
In the green portal, Mark rolled out in a disheveled manner.
Stabilizing his figure, he prepared to attack the other party again.
"Don't!"
"Don't think about attacking!"
Saying these words, Angstrom Levy created a green portal on the floor beneath Debbie.
"Mark, I have already chosen another dimensional world, where the ground is much lower than here, once Ms. Grayson is teleported away, I'm afraid she won't have a good ending."
He manipulated the green energy with one hand, maintaining the opening of the portal, while saying to Mark.
Mark slowly came down from the air and raised his hands.
"I'm very sorry, I didn't know you before, but you should be a good person, maybe an accident led to things developing to this point, but I believe you didn't intentionally do something bad, and I've never hurt you."
"Mark, you think I'm a good person? You think you're innocent?"
