"Where have you been?" Juan asked us, who ran into us in the foyer. Quickly and unnoticed, I laid my hair over the hickey. "We drove around town a bit," explained Adriana. He raised an eyebrow. Damn. "And I would be very grateful if you could shut up to my brothers," I said. "It would just cause unnecessary stress and besides, I'm old enough," I quickly added. "What do I care?" he just asked and walked on unconcerned. Phew, lucky again. Luckily for me he hadn't seen the hickey.
Together, Adri and I went to her room to get my things and before we left again, I quickly gave her the hickey, which I did quite well, but still not as easily as I had thought. Meanwhile we had countless laugh attacks because I was so stupid. "I would say you just ride with me. Rodrigo or one of the other security guards can then drive you home," I said as we walked down the stairs. In the foyer we met brother number two. Fishing rod.
"Where are you going?" he asked us. "To me," I replied. "M-do I have to understand that?" he asked confused, pointing at his neck, which we supposed the hickeys meant. "No," I said, grinning. Did he think we were dating? He just nodded in confusion and walked on, just like us.

When we got to my place, I parked in the garage and we got out. To be honest, I was pretty nervous. The same thoughts ran through my head over and over again. What if they don't buy this? What if they get suspicious? Maybe I shouldn't have gotten involved with Domenico at all. Of course you shouldn't have done that, he's an enemy of the family after all!' My inner reasonable voice piped up. I let out a desperate sigh.
We were getting closer and closer to the front door of our property...
I would like to run away screaming, but running away is no solution either. "Hey, everything will be fine," Adriana said calmly, briefly squeezing my hand to calm me down. She always noticed when I was nervous. "Best you let me do the talking," she said as we entered the foyer. And of course ALL my brothers were coming towards us. How lucky I was again. They all gave us a questioning look, especially Alejandro. "What the? Why did you... What?" Ramón stammered in confusion while his gaze was fixed on our necks. "We played truth or dare. Problem?" Adriana asked calmly. How the hell does she guess truth or dare?!
"Truth or Dare? Two? As if you both gave each other these tasks," said Valentín. "No you stupid, of course not. We downloaded an app that gave us this task," I said convincingly. I had actually recently seen such an app. "Funny game," they all murmured at the same time. "Weird brothers," Adri and I said at the same time. The boys' looks all became confused and outraged at the same time. Grinning, Adri and I looked at each other before we gave each other a high-five.
"One could never understand you!" Sebastián called after us as we were just going up the stairs. "Neither do you, hermanos," I called back. Arrived in my room, Adriana threw herself on my bed while I ran into my closet to get things out. I got my suitcase out from under my bed and started packing for Hawaii while chatting with my best friend about all sorts of nonsense.

After Ale and I boarded the private jet, we settled in. "So I picked five lots that would be suitable for a hotel," he informed me as I was about to pull my book out of my bag. "Okay," I replied and snuggled further into the soft seat. I actually wanted to continue reading my book, I had even opened it, but a few thoughts followed me. I had a huge guilty conscience towards my family. I literally stabbed them in the back. I don't want to imagine what will happen if they find out about Domenico. will they be mad Furious? Disappointed? Yep, definitely disappointed.
But there's just nothing I can do about it. I feel drawn to Domenico in an indescribable way, and apparently he is also drawn to me. Does he also have a bad conscience towards his family?
Certainly. He does it himself like me. Why couldn't he be some random bad boy or something, but no, of course he had to belong to the mafia. How can you have such bad luck? "Are you okay?" Ale snapped me out of my thoughts. My gaze shifted to him. "You seem so off track," he explained. "I was just thinking," I talked my way out, whereupon he nodded in understanding. I felt bad. Really bad.
I've always hated lying to my family, especially Alejandro. In our family, loyalty is paramount. How could I get involved in this Domenico thing? I know it's totally wrong, dios, I knew that from the start, but I still wanted him. It's a forbidden desire and I can't help it. As many times as I say it's wrong, Domenico is all I can think of right now. He drives me crazy and that's not good, not good at all. This is bad, very bad. But I still wanted him. My body was screaming for him. Maybe it was the forbidden thing that attracted me so much.
-
"That's it!" I said enthusiastically. We had just arrived at lot number three and I fell in love instantly. "Are you sure, Tana?" Ale wanted to make sure. "Sí, I think the hotel would fit in here very well. Don't you think so?"
"Yes, I'm sure it would fit in here just fine, there's plenty of room," he replied. "I don't really care where the hotel is anyway. The main thing is that it's there," he added. I nodded and asked, "When can construction begin?" "As soon as we want, hermana," he grinned.
-
By the time we got back to the hotel, it was already getting late. It was just 6:34 p.m., which meant I still had a good hour left before I would meet Ale for dinner. Since I didn't have anything to do anyway, I called Adriana on FaceTime. "Hey," came her voice after the short toot and a small smile played around her lips. "Well you," I replied, also grinning. "Have you found a plot?" she asked interested. "Sí, it's great! We definitely have to fly here when it's finished," I decided for both of us, which she agreed with a grinning nod. Suddenly I remembered something I wanted to ask her before we flew. I had to stifle a laugh to even be able to speak, I thought it was that funny. " Tell me, Adrian? Do you think Ángel thinks we're lesbian?" I asked my best friend with a laugh. Just thinking back to his confused expression made me laugh even louder, which definitely got my best friend carried away. "I don't know, but how he looked!" she laughed.
We talked for a good 10-15 minutes before she had to hang up because she had food. I put my phone aside and pulled out my book. Maybe I can read now.
-
"Oh come on Lily! Just leave him. In the trash with Ryle!!" I said firmly and flipped another page. How can some book characters be so stupid?! After I had then read a few more pages, I had to slowly let go. I put my bookmark in my book and put it on the bed. I tied my hair in a ponytail and put on my shoes. I grabbed my cell phone and my room card and off we went.
