~Arian Storm~
When I had let the last alpha into the hall, with whom I still had to discuss something personal, I went back. Maybe now I could have a quiet talk with Lou again.
Earlier I was out of my mind after smelling her excitement. I still wonder why she came here so wet. Just who was she thinking of, or who was with her?
I immediately growled loudly and grabbed the door frame to somehow calm myself.
It's really bad when my thoughts close to facts that may not be true at all. I need to control myself better. Otherwise it can't go on like this. I wish I could just growl when someone else gets near her. It's gotten so bad.
I raised my eyes and scanned the room. My pack members were still chatting and drinking and took advantage of the occasion here to get together again.
As I continued to search the room and couldn't find my mate, not even at Zara's, I became restless. Where is she now?
Can't you just take your eyes off them?
I crossed the hall with deliberate steps, hoping to scent her scent somewhere. I nodded politely to every wolf I passed and they briefly uncovered their necks for me, their alpha.
When I finally got to the bathroom, where there was still a faint trace of her scent, which was far from fresh, I became restless.
Where can she be? Has something happened to her?
Then I saw what I really didn't want to see and my wolf suddenly got angry, so I growled loudly.
"You!" I hissed. So that the brown-haired turned around in surprise, but after recognizing me he just looked at me questioningly. "Stop making out with my sister here. That's disgusting!"
Lucian grinned arrogantly. "Oh come on. I let you make out with my sister and in return I get to make out with yours. That's fair."
I growled. He shouldn't talk like our sisters are just objects. Surely he shouldn't make me angry now. Otherwise it won't end well for him.
"Speaking of which, by the way, my sister fled the hall earlier, for whatever reason, if you're looking for her," he shared, for which I was exceptionally grateful. At least he was useful for that.
I turned to leave. But before I got far, I turned around to warn them both.
"Oh yes, Lucian? Don't touch my sister so needy. She deserves better than this." With that, I made my way out of the hall. I'll find you Lou...
As soon as I got out into the fresh air, her scent wafted towards me. And exactly this led in the direction of the forest? Did she go running alone?
Immediately I became even more restless than before. What if something happens to her? She's so small. At least now I know why my father was always afraid to let Felia walk alone.
Who knows what dangers roam the forest. From a few roaming, feral wolves to a few hunters who unfortunately were never completely wiped out. We as a pack had to remain on our guard.
I didn't hesitate and ran into the forest at top speed.
Please don't be so far away...
Please didn't cross the borders...
She hasn't been in the pack long enough to know exactly where the pack boundaries are.
If she enters foreign territory without being asked, the alpha there is allowed to decide what happens to her and in the direction in which she runs lies a anything but friendly pack. This pack is to blame for Luan losing his mate back then, as they kept launching small attacks.
Luckily my pack's territory stretches for miles so she needs a big head start and lots of stamina to pull it off.
Still, I was kind of restless.
I ran after her scent alone for almost 30 minutes until I heard what made my heart stop.
Not too far I could hear a sad sounding squeak and not just any. It came from my mate.
is she hurt Is she in pain?
I sent thousands of quick prayers to the moon goddess in just a few seconds, hoping she would be fine.
Just hearing that heartbreaking wail in the distance made me run faster.
I couldn't be late. she needs me
With almost unwolfishly fast speed, after a few seconds I was so close that I should have seen her. But I didn't do that and I no longer noticed the squeaking.
where was she? Your smell stops right here...
Lou, where are you?
