~Arian Storm~
It was dark and pain rose up in my body. My body felt like it was burning from the inside. But then there was something I didn't quite know what to think about. Something soothing settled around my body and a tingling sensation arose, which almost blew away the pain.
With great effort, I finally managed to open my eyes and immediately looked at the blond head resting on my shoulder.
Lou...
I have yet to dream. My little angel kept appearing before my eyes. How I wished she were really here.
I cautiously reached out to her. I noticed how heavy my body felt. The arm I lifted was riddled with dark veins and a needle stuck inside. However, since I couldn't remove these as my other hand was blocked by the small body at my side, I just left them in place.
My hand reached the head of the blonde beauty who seemed to be sleeping peacefully. As I gently touched her cheek, more sparks shot through my body.
Is that real? is she really here
"Lou..." I was almost startled by the weakness of my own voice. It was really hard to talk when my tongue felt so heavy and numb.
"Arian" Lou replied, only she seemed to be dreaming.
So is it really her?
I couldn't tear my eyes away from her face. I was too scared that I was imagining it and she disappeared as soon as I closed my eyes again.
I can't believe she's really here. She's alive and seems to be fine.
Thank you moon goddess for bringing her back to me safely.
I brushed a stray strand of hair away from her face, which made her suddenly seem to stir. Her eyes twitched before finally opening and looking at me sleepily.
"Arian?" Blinking, her storm gray eyes looked straight into my ocean blue ones. Suddenly she widened them wide and seemed to be fully awake. "ARIAN!...You're awake!"
"Are you really here?" I heard my weak voice ask.
She nodded and a tear broke from her eyes, which I carefully brushed away.
"I was so scared for you." She suddenly broke out sobbing. "I thought I lost you before I could tell you I love you."
What? She loves Me?
My heart suddenly beat twice as fast.
She loves Me! SHE LOVES ME!
"And I'm sorry I sent you out of it... alone. I was angry, but I immediately regretted it... after you left. I'm so sorry..." Talking long sentences at a time was more difficult than I thought.
"It's already forgiven. I'm sorry you were worried because I was with Luan the whole time." She cried harder and harder.
"You were with Luan?!" I asked in surprise. All the time she was so close to me and yet I couldn't find her.
"Yes, Sebastian took me there."
"Sebastian," I growled. This sneaky guy, knew where she was all along and put me on the wrong track. There will definitely be sequel. It cost me a month with my mate.
"I'm so sorry this all happened." Lou sobbed louder and harder. It was horrible to see her like that.
"It's all good, the main thing is that we're together now." I tried to calm her down. "Why are you... crying so much?" My voice didn't get any better, I had to take breaks from time to time because it was just so exhausting to talk to her.
"Sorry. It's just the hormones." She wiped away her tears with her sleeve.
"The hormones?" I furrowed my eyebrows questioningly. Was she on her period? But I could have smelled it...
"Yeah, they're twice as bad since I..." Her eyes suddenly widened.
"Are you what?" I growled. What wasn't she telling me?
"...since I was pregnant." She finished her sentence.
"What?"
She is pregnant? I'm going to be a father? So I covered her that beautiful full moon night that I forgot the condom. I thought about it for days later, but somehow I pushed it aside. How could I not notice something so important? Now my strong protective instinct made little sense.
My heart pounded happily. I felt a little fitter right away, although still too weak to happily dance around the room.
I'm going to be a father. Hard to believe, but somehow it felt like a blessing.
"Yes, I...it...I..." She stammered, avoiding my gaze by looking down at her hands.
"You don't need to explain. I am happy. A little miracle, we could both...really use it right now." A big smile spread across my face. I was just overjoyed.
"Are you happy?"
"Of course I'm happy... I'm happy. That little puppy in your belly is a little bit me and a little bit you. He's going to be a super alpha." I pulled my mate over to me and kissed her forehead. A hand immediately went to her stomach.
Hard to believe there's a little new wolf growing inside that I fathered...
"How do you know it's going to be a boy?" my mate smiled shyly at me.
"With us Storms, the firstborn has always been... a boy," I answered with more than certainty.
"I'd rather have a girl though." Lou's hand covered mine, which was still on her abdomen.
"I don't care what it is, as long as it's healthy." I planted a kiss on her hairline.
I can't wait to get to know this little miracle. And above all, I want to finally make Lou mine...
