~Lou Storm~

After Arian broke the neck of the other alpha wolf, I felt that abdominal pain again. Only this time it was so strong that I just couldn't ignore it anymore.

So I had to lie down in the moss. It just hurt so bad.

I panted loudly while the stabbing pain kept coming. Hope everything was fine with my pup.

"Lou?! What's going on." After the strange wolves bowed to Arian, he immediately ran towards me.

Through his wolf eyes you could quickly see the worried look that I probably had too. I was too scared of losing my little one.

"These contractions again." I gave him as an answer. In between I continued to pant in my wolf form.

"But it's still much too early. After all, it should still be 2 months until the birth." He licked my head worriedly. Somehow I had the feeling that he was trying to relieve the pain. His proximity helped a bit.

"I'm here." This warrior doctor, Lukas, joined us. He was in his human form, stroking the white fur of my bulging stomach, which made Arian growl a little. But I immediately trusted him. Then my transformation process began. In more pain than usual, I transformed back and lay crouched and naked in front of the two.

Arian immediately growled and raised his lips menacingly.

But put up with the fact that I and maybe a few others can see your mate's vagina right away in the hospital, because that's totally normal." Lukas grew louder towards the end and snapped at Arian. “I requested it via Mindlink. You should be there soon." He addressed the doctor.

But I hardly noticed the two. The pain was too great and distracted me too much. In addition, I now saw the gaping large wound on my mate's chest. He must have been in pain too.

"You're bleeding," I stated.

"Not bad. It's healing." He dismissed it and took one of my hands between his and kissed it.

He smiled at me reassuringly, even though I could clearly sense his excitement. But then he suddenly smiled when I noticed the new warmth between my legs. My gaze slid down, but Arian's hands stopped me.

Even though he said additional panic is bad now, I still got into it without meaning to. I didn't even have to look to know what was running down my thigh. The looks on their faces told me everything I needed to know. it was blood

Tears welled up in my eyes.

Did I make the wrong decision to rush to my mate's aid? Of course there would have been other options. We could have sent the warriors alone and trusted them to make it in time.

No, instead I'll have to pay with our puppy's life instead.

Finally I heard engine noises. Help rushed, which let me breathe a sigh of relief, even though I knew that it was all far from over.

Then everything happened very quickly. I was strapped to an extra stretcher that was attached to the back of the quad. I didn't really get the drive back because I felt like I was dozing off again and again due to the high blood loss. It wasn't until we got to the hospital that I kept hearing snippets of words.

"We're both losing her." "She's losing too much blood." "The placenta detached." "Either we save her or the puppy."

The latter made me cry. I felt my body go weak. But at least I had to say that.

I whispered weakly to Arian, who didn't leave my side for a second: "Please make sure they save our puppy. He has to survive!"

"What no! Lou, I can't lose you." He replied in total desperation.

"Please..."

Then I closed my eyes and everything went black around me. And maybe forever.
