Funeral
Atasha's Point of View
The members of the Deveraugh family and other close friends of Peter's came together to pay their respects following his passing; they all wore black suits and dresses. As they were beginning to bury his casket in the grave, they placed flowers on top of his casket.
"That's the whole Deveraugh clan?" I curiously asked Elijah who was beside me also glancing over them.
"Some of them are followers of the clan, they really have now a massive following. They're a bit influential especially since Margaux was there she's a bit famous in her family. So basically, the people that you see in the back. Those groups they're followers of the clan. They called themselves, Rads."
"Interesting name," I responded and he then looked at me.
"But to be honest what I see on them is a group of omega's trying to rank up and climb the ladder so they can live more lavishly just like the Deveraugh."
Then while we were standing a distance away from Peter's burial, I caught a glimpse of Elijah taking out a cigarette and lighting up next to me for the first time. He then glanced at me and said that he usually doesn't smoke, but in an event like this he would. At Peter's death, it was such a horrific event that nobody anticipated that it would actually take place. How could he have died inside of his brother Drogo's own mansion?
"There's so much politics going on, especially in their clan. I hope that Alpha Gregory is on top of this and knows what the hell is happening."
"I'm also scared Elijah, if what will happen to the others that might help us, I think they'll be in danger. But right now, Peter is the only werewolf that risks his life just to save us. I guess that's why Veronica doesn't want to mess up in this one and chooses to side with Zach and Trisha."
I then recalled when his spouse recently informed us that he had passed away, the news had just recently become public. Earlier in the morning, the messenger who was tasked with delivering the devastating news to her conveyed it to her. What took place during the period that he was working at Drogo's mansion with Margaux and Trisha remains a mystery to me.
Is there any indication that anyone living in that house was involved in what actually transpired? My thoughts kept going back to these questions, especially considering the fact that Trisha was also a member of that household. Anything can go wrong.
"Elijah, there must have been some sort of foul play involved in this crime. There is no way that that could have happened by accident. " After that, I went over to Elijah's and tried to smoke his cigarette, but I ended up choking on it and coughing.
After that, he retook his cigar from my hand, tossed it into the dirt, and stomped his foot on it.
"We shouldn't remain here any longer than we have to. They may be able to see us. Let's go back to the location where we used to spend time together. To our old place. "
"Old place?"
"Yeah, the small wooden house that we called home," Elijay said and smiled.
I was thinking of Devon's place for a second, I thought that's what he was trying to say.
Before we left, we took one more look back at the Deveraugh family as they grieved over Peter's passing. Belinda, his spouse, was also crying, and Drogo was there to console her while he sobbed next to her.
I couldn't find Margaux or Trisha anywhere. It's possible that they were responsible for Peter's death, but I doubt it. When I finally saw Trisha and Margaux standing in front of Peter's funeral, my eyes widened and I quickly stopped walking.
"El, I have a nagging suspicion that they are the ones responsible for Peter's passing. We need to tell his spouse, Belinda. "
"Atasha, this is not a wise decision at all. Let's keep this between the two of us because all these are suspicions. However, given that Peter is no longer here, there is a very slim chance that we will be able to interrupt the ceremony. We need to reconsider our options and settle on a new plan as soon as possible. "
"You're right El, If they are behind on Peter’s death and if they murder him, then they will pay for it. I made sure that they would suffer. "
"El, let's go back now. We don't have much time."
I took a deep breath and we continued walking back to our old house. My mind went haywire as we were trying to connect the dots of Peter's death. Yesterday, we just noticed that Peter was already outside of this house. We then suspected that it had a connection to his death. One thing is that Trisha should have someone that tracks Peter's movements, especially since he's one of the people that knows her secret.
Then we'll be based with Peter while we talk about her house.
He shared how it was difficult for him when he was being manipulated by Trisha's eyes. It was now evident that Trisha could have someone track Peter all the way here in our house.
She might have known that Peter would work with us to interrupt her ceremony. I believe that she already knew that Peter would tell us his plan so that we could stop her.
I then held it in my hands as I was trying to connect the puzzle, but there was something missing. I truly don't know how to expose or have evidence that Trisha truly murdered or planned to kill Peter. After countless hours of walking back and forth, I then checked on Elijah, who was also writing down his notes. It must be something that Peter would like us to know.
I went outside of our house to smell some fresh air for me to think about, and then I just discovered something odd. I noticed a small key on our doorstep that was just hidden underneath a cloth.
"Is this what you're trying to say, Peter?"
