Disappointed? No!
Artemis
Joshua is everything I ever wished for, without even realizing it. Of course, I know he must have flaws, after all, it's part of human nature, and I have some myself... or would it be many?
But the question is: what would Joshua's flaws be?
A movement on my back snapped me out of my wild daydreams, and I immediately assumed he had just woken up.
The moment of truth had arrived.
"Good morning," he spoke with a husky and sexy voice, right next to my ear.
I didn't have a chance to respond to the greeting because his mouth was soon on my neck, alternating between gentle kisses and more voracious ones, shamefully arousing me with just that, while I could feel a disturbing wetness forming between my legs.
"Ah!"
I couldn't contain the moan of pleasure as his masculine hands traveled up my belly and reached my bare breasts beneath the sheets, squeezing them firmly.
I didn't think it was possible for Joshua to be up for another round of sex after all the times we had made love the night before, but the indecent grinding of his bulge against my buttocks made it quite clear that he was more than ready for it.
"So delicious," he whispered in my ear.
My already heated body was now on fire as Joshua's hands freely roamed over it, groping and rubbing, driving me extremely wild.
"I think I'm in love," came the unexpected declaration, followed by a gentle bite on my earlobe.
"Don't do this to me, Joshua," I pleaded, immediately realizing how tormented my voice sounded.
The truth was, I was trying to keep my feet firmly on the ground and not let myself get confused by the strong chemistry between us, but Joshua wasn't cooperating.
My request was met with a hearty laugh.
"Don't laugh, Joshua," I reprimanded him with a serious tone. "I don't want my feelings to be played with."
Upon hearing my words, Joshua holds me in a way that we spin on the bed, leaving me lying on my back on the mattress while he now lay on top of me.
His eyes seemed to scrutinize me attentively, and his expression was now completely serious, with no trace of the previous amusement.
"There's something important I need to know?"
The way Joshua took what I said literally made me feel a bit embarrassed, after all, I said it with the intention of making everything clear between us from the beginning.
"It depends on what you're asking," I said because I genuinely didn't understand where he was going with it. "You can speak openly. We're adults here."
Joshua seems to reflect before saying what he intends, and I admired him for that because it was a clear sign that he always thought before speaking, and that's a good thing because thinking before saying anything can prevent some hurt.
"You can speak, Joshua," I insisted again. "I'm not fragile, and I always prefer things to be out in the open. Only then can we get to know each other better, don't you agree?"
He takes a deep breath before speaking.
"When you asked me not to play with your feelings, a red flag went up here," he points with a gesture to his head. "And I ask you, has someone hurt your feelings? And are you afraid it will happen again?"
Joshua's explanation made me feel a little relieved. I had thought he would share about some negative experience he had personally gone through.
"There's no significant story in my past, Joshua."
"No serious relationships?" he suggested, with a shy smile. "Perhaps a platonic crush or something like that?"
He was teasing me now, and the atmosphere changed instantly, just by the way he asked the question.
But I simply shook my head in a negative gesture.
"Don't tell me you've never had that 'someone'!" another provocation, now filled with mischief and a captivating smile on his face.
"I have never met someone interesting enough to awaken deeper feelings in me," I ended up confessing, just to observe his reaction.
"You had never met someone... but that changed because now I am that someone in your life, Artemis."
I smiled at his declaration, even though he was indeed right, I also wanted to tease him a bit.
"Isn't it a little too early to make such a claim?"
"There's nothing about you that I don't like, Artemis.
"We met yesterday, Joshua. Despite arguing against his words, I felt the same way. But someone here needs to keep their feet on the ground.
"I intend to get to know you a little more every day from now on," he defends his point.
Before I could say anything else, I heard a meow in the distance, and I smiled, turning my head to look at the armchair where my cat liked to sleep.
"Did you hear a meow?" Joshua suddenly asks, looking around as if searching for the source of the sound.
"It's Fifi," I replied, smiling.
"I don't understand..."
"The meow," I explained, opening an even bigger smile at the confused look on his face. "It's from Fifi."
"Who is Fifi?" Apparently, he was a bit slow in the morning.
"My cat, Joshua. Fifi."
Upon hearing her name being called so many times, Fifi leaves the armchair and jumps onto my bed, lying down on one of my pillows. Joshua simply jumps off the bed as if my little cat were some kind of disgusting creature, which she is not.
"What's the problem?" I asked, furrowing my brow.
He didn't answer, starting to sneeze uncontrollably, and couldn't even speak.
"Are you allergic to cats?" I asked the obvious.
"Yes," he replied, rubbing his nose. "Ah-choo."
I closed my eyes and placed my hand on my forehead, feeling truly sad.
"Of all things, you had to be allergic to cats?" It was more of a lament than a question.
"Ah-choo." Another sneeze. "Yes... Ah-choo... I can't... Ah-choo... help it!"
"I knew you were too good to be true..."
"Why... Ah-choo... do you say that?" He continued pacing around the room, sneezing incessantly.
"I have five cats, Joshua."
