Just one more time
Arthur
When the manager of my nightclub entered my office on the second floor to inform me that someone was insisting on speaking with me, she didn't need to tell me who it was. I could already perfectly imagine who it was.
After asking Lucy to let this person in without even asking who it was, the woman I saw walking through the door of my office was exactly who I had imagined, confirming that my assumption was correct.
Even though I anticipated the inconvenient visitor, I had to take a deep breath and summon all the patience within me to not shout at her for doing exactly what I asked her not to do: follow me. What's worse, she came to my workplace uninvited and definitely unwelcome.
"What are you doing here, Bruna?" I asked rudely and without a preamble. "I made it abundantly clear that you should not seek me out."
I was going to make it clear once again that I wouldn't fall for that tramp's tricks, as she managed to do with two influential men in the business world who, by a great coincidence, were also my partners, Ethan and Murilo. I wouldn't be a fool like they were. Not at all!
"Wow! How rude you are," she said in her falsely casual manner. "I came here because I spent the whole day thinking about you, and you treat me like this, baby?"
Despite her feigned complaint, Bruna walked over to where I was sitting behind my desk, getting close enough to sit on my lap without any warning, catching me completely off guard with her audacity and complete lack of common sense.
I stared at her, unable to believe the audacity of her brazen behavior. After all, I wasn't interested in her and I had made that very clear when I left her apartment this morning, not to mention that I detested it when she called me "baby."
"I thought about recreating last night..." she said in a suggestive tone. "What do you think?
Despite being a treacherous and cunning woman, I had to acknowledge that she was a beautiful snake, especially considering that she had used all her seductive arsenal on me the previous night, providing me with an indescribable night of sex.
Now, in her visit to my office, she must have heavily invested in her weapons, as she was wearing a very sexy and extremely provocative red dress, both due to its minimal length and for leaving none of her curves to the imagination.
The woman has a perfect body made for sin, and she certainly proved to be talented in bed, and then some!
Still, I needed to make it clear that it would be just sex and nothing more. Not because of Giselle, I want the maximum distance between us.
"You know it'll be just that between us," I pointed to the two of us. "Just sex."
"I don't want anything more, Arthur," Bruna replied all too quickly.
"I don't want anyone to know about any involvement between us," I insisted. "Nobody can know, do you understand!?"
What I feared was that someone would find out about this brief encounter with Bruna, as I fervently hoped to have a conversation with Mariana, to earn her forgiveness. I need to make everything very clear.
"Why are you so afraid of someone finding out, Arthur?" Bruna seemed annoyed and stood up from my lap. "You're single, after all. Gisele left you. I'm single too. I don't understand why all this.”
I also stood up from the chair I was sitting in and walked around the office, now annoyed by Bruna's idiotic question and especially for bringing up Gisele in the conversation.
"It's not about Giselle! It's someone else, and she can't find out about this," I once again pointed to the two of us and the surrounding environment.
"Don't tell me that this fear of people knowing about us is because of that low-class girl from the store, Ethan's girl!" Bruna let out a mocking laugh. "How can you both have such poor taste!?"
" Mariana isn't Ethan's girl!" I protest angrily. "He wants her, but I'm sure she won't fall for his tricks. She's not that kind of girl."
"I'm sorry to inform you, baby," Bruna says cynically, "but when Ethan wants something, he gets it. And he must be very determined to conquer that low-class girl to use her in his revenge against Murilo. Ethan won't rest until he leaves Murilo in the worst situation."
I became quite interested in that topic... Bruna was referring to her ex-fiancé, without a doubt, Murilo Fernandes, who is also my business partner, just like Ethan.
"What's the connection between Murilo and Mariana?"
"She and Murilo's current girlfriend are very close friends, almost inseparable," she explained. "I would say they do everything together, from what I've noticed."
A long-forgotten memory, buried deep in the depths of my mind, resurfaced at that very moment, and I couldn't help but comment out loud.
"So, I believe this friend of Mariana and Murilo's current girlfriend must be the same girl he won at the Season Hot Club auction..."
"Auction? What auction are you talking about?"
I immediately realized I had said too much and became nervous about it. That information would be too dangerous in the hands of someone like Bruna, who everyone knows is a venomous snake.
I needed to try to remedy that slip-up, so I smiled to disguise it, approaching her and holding her waist.
"I think we've talked enough..." I said, kissing her neck. "I want to know about the sex proposal you made... is it still on?"
I didn't wait for an answer, leading her to my desk and laying her on it, spreading her legs and already reaching for her panties, or rather, her sex, because she was wearing nothing underneath the dress.
"Delicious..."
Mariana
After we told Joshua about the story involving Murilo and Ethan, he seemed genuinely shocked. According to what he told us, he could never have imagined that his friend would find a scapegoat and pursue that person to the point of becoming someone unscrupulous and vengeful.
"We left the country after what happened to my sister," Joshua recounted. "My parents were always completely focused on work and felt guilty for not having enough time for their children, catering to all our desires. And as you can imagine, that's completely wrong."
"But you don't seem to have been affected by it much," Virgínia pointed out assertively.
