Without hesitation, they mobilized, preparing to set off to the remote location where Angel was believed to be hiding. The drive to the mountains was tense, the anticipation palpable as they neared the secluded cabin.
As they arrived, the quiet of the mountains enveloped them, the cabin nestled among the trees, isolated from the outside world. The trio exchanged determined glances, steeling themselves for what lay ahead.

The door creaked open slowly, revealing a figure silhouetted against the dim interior. Angel stood before them, her expression a mix of surprise and defiance as she locked eyes with Alex.
" Well, well, well... Look who's finally found me " she sneered, her voice dripping with arrogance.
Alex's jaw clenched, his eyes ablaze with a fierce determination. " It ends now, Angel. You'll answer for everything you've done "
Angel's smirk faltered, a flicker of unease crossing her face as she faced the resolute trio standing before her. The confrontation had begun, and Alex was ready to make sure Angel faced the consequences of her manipulative and dangerous actions.
She covered her displeasure with an evil laugh " There's something you failed to notice about me, love. I thought you knew me better than this but it's obvious you don't. It never ends unless I say otherwise "
Before Alex knew it, a gunshot was heard and they sought for cover. When the whole thing died down, Angel was nowhere to be found.
" Shit " Alex slammed his fist into a wall in anger.

Weeks passed by and Alex finally resumed back to work. Alex sat at his cluttered desk, surrounded by towers of papers and folders. His gaze fixed on the screen, typing furiously as he attempted to catch up on weeks of missed work. The office was silent except for the steady hum of the computer and occasional shuffling of papers.
Emily, his dedicated secretary, tiptoed into the room, holding a stack of files. " Sir, I brought the reports you requested " she said softly, placing them on his desk. "And your appointments for the week are scheduled as you instructed "
" Thanks, Emily " Alex replied, barely lifting his eyes from the screen. "Just leave them there, I'll get to them "
Emily hesitated for a moment, her concern evident. " You've been working non-stop for weeks, Sir. You need to take a break, get some rest "
" I can't " Alex murmured, his voice strained " There's too much to do. I can't afford to fall behind "
She nodded sympathetically, understanding the depth of his dedication. " I'll leave you to it then. But remember, your health is important too "
As she turned to leave, Alex's fingers paused on the keyboard. " Emily, any updates on Angel? Anything at all? "
The mention of his ex-girlfriend brought a flicker of pain to his eyes. She was the reason for his accident, and despite the passing time, he couldn't shake off the need to find her.
Emily sighed, her expression somber. " I've contacted a few more sources, but there's been no trace of her yet. I won't stop looking, though "
" Thank you " Alex whispered, his voice heavy with emotion.
Days turned into nights as Alex continued to bury himself in work, fueled by determination and the score to settle with Angel. He made relentless calls, checked multiple databases, and even sought help from private investigators, all in pursuit of finding her.
One evening, Emily entered his office, concern etched on her face. " Mr Alex, it's late. You should go home and rest. You've been at this for too long "
" I can't stop now, Emily " Alex muttered, his eyes bloodshot from staring at the screen for hours. " I'm close, I can feel it. I'm close to finding her " He said with determination. The desire to take his revenge wouldn't let him take some time off to rest. He found her the last time but she managed to escape. How smart, Alex thought.
Emily sighed, as she shuffled on her feet " I understand, but your health— "
Before she could finish, the office door burst open, and a disheveled man stumbled in, holding a crumpled piece of paper. " Sir! I found something " he exclaimed breathlessly.
Alex's heart skipped a beat as he recognized the man as one of the private investigators his brother had hired. " What is it? "
The investigator handed him the paper. " I managed to trace a lead. It's an address—a recent sighting of someone matching Angel's description "
Alex's hands trembled as he scanned the address. Without a word, he grabbed his coat and dashed out of the office, leaving behind the chaos of unfinished work.
Emily watched him go, a mixture of worry and hope on her face. " Be careful, Alexander " she whispered to the empty room.
Alex brought out his phone and called Jack who picked on the second ring " Hey brother " Jack said cheerfully.
But Alex didn't share his light tone as he said urgently " Look, I found that b*tch "
Jack sounded serious now " Really?! How? "
" Look, I'll tell you in details later but right now, I should go so she doesn't escape like the last time " Alex said with a tone of urgency.
" One of the private investigators we hired was the one who came to me with the information " Alex offered.
" Alright " Jack said and added " Do you need backup? You can't take her down alone. She's one crazy b*tch "
Alex smirked confidently " Do not worry about that, I'll manage just fine "
