I'M NOT A VIRGIN
CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
I'M NOT A VIRGIN
It wasn’t hard to cry. I have been doing a lot of that lately. There’s even a possibility that I was becoming a pro at crying. I had a lot of things to cry about off-late.
Like, the way he humiliated me at school. He just made me lose this argument and had my parents fawn over him in front of me and give him compliments, etcetera…. etcetera. Anyways, all this wasn't anything to cry about, but all these little things had created a heavy weight on my chest and I had to let it out.
I planned on leaving the adults out of our feud and going after him all by myself at first, but I still had my trump card so I could play this card right now. My trump card wasn’t complete, but it would be something once completed.
Was this the wrong time to out Kieran? Yes
Was it also petty and dramatic? Yeah, definitely
But it was going to work in three… two … one.
“What is she talking about, son?” Kieran’s dad yelled. He had a foul temper at times and I used to be scared of him growing up. It had been buried all these years but it was out again and directed at Kieran.
“Aaliyah!” Kieran warns, and Dad gets up. I bet Kieran wanted to kill me right there but he was only holding himself back because of our audience.
“Kieran!” Dad looks at him like he’s so disappointed in him and my heart smiles.
After ruining me, did he think I'd let him go scot free? How dare he call me a compulsive liar and look at me with disgust when he did this to me? He was worse.
“I didn’t do it, sir.” Kieran said as Aunt Stella and mom came to comfort me.
No one believed him. Kieran had played into my hands by getting up immediately after me. It looked like he wanted to stop me from speaking and made my case more believable. I might not have concrete evidence, but the way I’d played it out was enough to trap him in my web.
“You had my phone during the time it was leaked. We weren’t in good terms then so you did it to ruin me. Be responsible and take responsibility for your actions, Kieran Castles.” I yelled. I didn’t think he’d outright deny it when he was clearly the one.
He sighs like I’m such a bother and sits down, taking his phone and pointing it towards me.
“Her iCloud was hacked. The internet protocol address is at the downside of town. Maybe Aaliyah123 is not so secretive a password after all. Is it Aali?”
I got up from the floor and wiped my eyes with the back of my hand. I walked to him, taking the phone from him to look at the so-called ‘evidence’….
“Next time use something more complex, silly” he ruffles my hair. I’m sure he’d like to grab it and pull on it like he loves to do whenever I’m in his proximity, but he didn’t. My dad would totally go bat-shit crazy on him if he dared. I swatted his hands away.
My iCloud was indeed hacked into by a café in town, Valley Local Café. It was one of the computers there. Someone from the valley had hacked me. We call the downtown, also known as the less wealthy part of town, ‘the Valley’.
My cheeks turn red as our parents take the phone and look at the screen.
“You really created a scene without being sure, Aaliyah? He’s helping you find the culprit whilst you’re sitting on the floor like a four-year-old crying and balling, falsely accusing him. Even Kirk is more mature than this.” Dad scolds.
“Dad!”
“I’m just saying you should be more like Kieran and stop being childish.”
“That’s even worse, Dad.” I turned to mom and Aunt Stella, but they nodded in agreement with Dad.
I actually feel so stupid at the moment.
“I’ve lost my appetite.” I said, and tried to leave, but Kieran held my arm, stopping me.
“She honestly thought it was me and was just hurt that I might have betrayed and framed her. She’s….” Kieran begins, playing the good guy role that I hated so much.
“Shut up!” I said and yank my arm out of his grasp and he lets go of me, unlike the other times where he’d only squeeze harder till he left bruises and prints.
I knew he was only doing it to rile me up and make me angry, so I’d lose my mind and act out, but I just couldn’t help him acting like that and lying that he was at my side.
“Aaliyah Waters!” Everyone says
Oh crap!
“Go to your room. You’re grounded for two weeks.” Dad says with a voice that says he was on the borderline of angry.
“Leave the car key and your laptop in the study.” Mom added as I ran up the stairs and went into the room.
“Fine,” I say and stomp out.
“Argh go to hell, Evil jerk!” I yelled into my pillow and proceed to punch the innocent pillow, pretending it was Kieran’s nose and that made me feel better.
He was innocent this time around, so what? He’d done other similar things in the past. Why would I believe he was not the one?
A knock sounds at the door but I ignore it. It might be one of our parents trying to talk to me. I didn’t want any company unless they were going to help me talk trash about Kieran and that was unlikely.
The door opens and I remember that I never locked it in the first place as the least person to help me trash talk him comes in.
Kieran invites himself in and closes the door behind him, locking the door and putting the key in his pocket.
“What are you doing?” I sat up and knelt on the bed questioning, but he didn’t reply.
He walked towards me predatorily and leaped on me, so we both fell onto the mattress. I grabbed his hair to anchor myself as he’s full weight crashed and pressed me down. Air leaves my lungs for a moment before he supports himself on his elbow. He’s half lying down on me now, which means my legs are spread wide and he’s lower body is right in the middle of my legs and my hands are still fisted in his midnight at sea black hair. He grinds into me and my eyes flutter and I shake for a second. My mind went numb and I breathed in sharply.
What was that about? I blink quickly and he smirks.
“It was an interesting movie and it definitely got us out of dinner, Virgin.” He drew out the last word sultrily. I nearly died out of embarrassment.
“I’m not a virgin” I lie as he gets off me and lies beside me instead. I’m glad my voice came out even instead of being defensive.
“What are you doing here? You already won. Is coming in here to taunt me really necessary?” I asked, ignoring his cologne that was slowly creating a nice comfortable cocoon in my head.
“I didn’t really win because one of your numerous packages came in and my Dad decided it’s the best opportunity to make up with you, so they sent me up after you. We are stuck together now."
“Where is the package?” I asked him suspiciously.
He handed me my key and I opened the door to see that my new bureau was indeed here and my mood got better.
I’d planned to ask dad to help me fix it but oh well, Kieran is now being asked to do it so we can reconcile.
