When the tattooed guy first joined House An and helped the fire wolf gang build the crime organization, he knew that this day would come sooner or later. However, the positive part was that House An didn't ill-treat people who served them, in fact, they were pretty generous treating them. All of his brothers and sisters in his hometown were highly-educated and had attended university. His old house that used to be just a thatched cottage was now a villa. Furthermore, his parents even had a pot of gold with them. They had approximately ten million in their bank accounts, making his house one of the richest families in his hometown….
His family knew that the tattooed guy was working outstation, but they weren't told about the details meticulously. The tattooed guy didn't spend much, and he didn't need to. Basically. he didn't touch the money at all. All of the money all these years, from rewards to salary, were all delivered back to his house!
The tattooed guy felt that he had earned enough for this life. As long as his siblings and parents were able to live a luxurious life, he didn't need anything else. He was a prisoner from the beginning. He wouldn't have a future and would most probably become a hobo if it wasn't for House An.
Therefore, the tattooed guy only wished for the safety of Master An now. He hoped that he was able to escape from here and look out for his family when he was imprisoned. As for the crime of the organization, he was prepared to single-handedly bear the crime on his shoulders!
In this whole crime organization, other than Surgeon Wong, no one actually knew the existence of An Jianwen. They didn't know that there was a boss behind all of it!
Of course, people like Cihua and Master Bing were aware of the fact, but they wouldn't just expose his identity to the police. All of them were working in the same field, after all.
The tattooed guy quickened his steps to the surgery room before the police charged in to see surgeon Wong's overwhelmed face.
Perhaps, surgeon Wong had the same thoughts as him. Maybe he knew that this day would come sooner or later.
"Tattooed bro, our day has arrived?" Surgeon Wong's expression was sluggish and lifeless but his tone was calm.
"Yes, it's time." the tattooed guy nodded.
"If we are caught, what crime would we be charged with?" Surgeon Wong asked.
"Death penalty or life imprisonment maybe?" the tattooed guy smiled.
"You came here to kill me, aren't you?" Doctor Wong raised his head up and eyed the tattooed guy.
The tattooed guy nodded honestly, "I don't think you can carry the sentence. You might reveal Master Bing."
"Hehe, doing the sentence is fine, but I don't think I want to carry it anymore. Letting my son know that I'm a criminal is the last thing I want now. I don't want to be known as an unscrupulous doctor that removed people's kidney…" Surgeon Wong said faintly. "My son has a dream, he wants to be a proud doctor like me, but I don't want to disappoint him…. After I die, please tell the police that I was threatened, please? That's my last request…."
"Of course!" the tattooed guy nodded. "You didn't bow to evil forces and committed suicide. I bet your son will be proud of you for sure!"
Doctor Wong smiled lightly, stood up and got out a reagent from the cupboard. This was used for killing. He had always keep one for himself. He extracted the reagent out into a syringe, then injected it into his own body without any hesitations. The money he had earned all these years was all for his son. The amount was enough for his son to study overboard…. He hoped that his son was able to pursue his dream and be a compassionate doctor...
That was doctor Wong's last thought before he crumpled on the chair.
"It's my turn now…" the tattooed guy turned around and walked out of the surgery room. The police were already using a megaphone, calling him out. He raised his hands up when he walked out of the HQ. The police were lining up like a human wall while Lingshan was standing at the first row….
But why did the coat that Lingshan was wearing look so familiar? The tattooed guy was arrested and pushed into a police car before he could figure it out…
There weren't many people in the HQ. The police were summing up the nurses and muscled men. It was like approximately twenty people and there were more than ten police cars there. It was total overkill.
However, this was still considered as a major and serious case, overkill was better than underestimating the enemy.
"Get all of them back and question them!" Lingshan waved her hand and ordered her subordinates. The Song Lingshan now wasn't the same Lingshan when Lin Yi was around. Her behavior was different as if she was not the same person. She had returned to her previous state.
"Report, there are no signs of victims in the building. The prison's door was destroyed by brute force but there's no one in there!" The last scouter came out and reported to Lingshan: "Found one corpse in there, and we believe that that person was part of the crime organization. He should be the main kidney dissector, Doctor Wong!"
"Good job, only four squads will stay behind. The rest get back to work!" Lingshan, on the other hand, obviously knew that there was no victim in the prison because there was no one when she entered and no one was there when she left.
On their way back, sitting in the police car, Lingshan was showered with compliments and praise. It was like a dream! The case was solved just like that? Wasn't that a little too fast? She was still depressed with the development of the case yesterday and today, she had gained total victory over it!
Lin Yi… just who are you? Lingshan felt that the longer she looked at Lin Yi, the more mysterious Lin Yi became. He was like a puzzle that she could never solve. After she got help from him yesterday, the big case was solved! Although there were a lot of things happening during the process, Lin Yi's capability was unquestionable!
Lingshan's attitude towards Lin Yi had changed unconsciously. Initially, she had always thought that Lin Yi was just lucky, but as far as she was concerned, it wasn't the case, after all. She thought about her previous thoughts about him and realized it was a total joke. How did she even challenge him back then? Recalling the deformed iron door astonished Lingshan. She might have entered the late phase of the golden class, and the toughness of the iron gate shouldn't be a problem for her anymore, but the ability to kick down the iron door with one or two kicks felt impossible for her.
Lingshan felt like she wasn't herself when she had to act like a Miss Braindead in front of Lin Yi last time. But now, things had changed, she had gotten used to it. She didn't have the anger she had anymore. Instead, there was a trace of unspeakable happiness blossoming too!
Was she still sane? Was she out of her mind? Why did she look like a masochist now, enjoying being abused?
"Captain Song, I'm afraid you are going to be promoted again, aren't you?" Liu Wangli was closer to Lingshan compared to the others. When Lingshan first joined the police forces, she was a squad leader, Liu Wangli's direct supervisor.
"I just got promoted to captain. How is that possible?" Lingshan might have said that but deep down, she was still expecting something to change. Even if it was not promotion, she still hoped her status would be upgraded.
"Maybe, but this is still a major case. Captain Song, you attempted a big risk to solve this case. You should at least get second class merit, shouldn't you?" Wangli smiled.
