"Ha, yeah!" Looking at Guanxin's expression, Zhaoming knew that she must have misunderstood him, thinking that he was roaming the hospital just to create a chance encounter! He quickly clarified, "I'm here for a friend today. He was staying in this hospital, but after searching for a half day, I called him only to learn that he was discharged!"

"Oh, I see. Get moving then. Go visit him. I've to continue my work here." Guanxin didn't want to continue this conversation any longer.

"En, I'm on my way. Here, you can have this bouquet of flowers. Bringing them around will only be a drag to me!" Zhaoming handed the fresh flowers to Guanxin.

"You bought roses for a patient?" Guanxin was no idiot. There was no way she would believe Zhaoming's lies.

"Ugh…. Ha, the patient is a girl…." Zhaoming startled, but his reflexes were quick.

"You bought roses for a female patient? Is she your girlfriend?" Guanxin smiled.

"Eh?" Zhaoming couldn't believe that even though Guanxin looked all harmless and tamed on the outside, her words were razor sharp. She found flaws in all his words. She was like that in the bookstore and even now too! This girl wasn't easy!

"Huh, no way, girlfriend? It's my bro's girlfriend. I was just helping him to pass the flowers to her!" Zhaoming was quick-witted as he replied, "Ha, its actually like this. My bro was arguing with his girlfriend that day, and he kicked her out of the house because he was angry. His girlfriend had to stay outside for a night and as a result, she got sick from it, so he felt bad but couldn't lower his pride to apologize. So here I am, helping him out! But they are all probably good now, wasting my time for this errand!"

After explaining, Zhaoming felt like a genius!

"Oh, since this bouquet of flowers is not needed anymore, let me help you to put them in the vase." Guanxin knew that Zhaoming wouldn't leave her alone if Guanxin refused to accept the flowers, so she received them from Zhaoming and placed them in the vases along the corridor.

Zhaoming knew that he couldn't say anything and replied sulkily, "Ha, you're right. Just place them here, it's pretty! Guanxin, I gotta go, keep in touch!"

"Bye." Guanxin nodded and returned to the office. She felt that she did a very stupid choice for going to the washroom now. otherwise, she wouldn't have to meet this nuisance.

Zhaoming sighed. He felt he should change the way how he approached her! Normally, according to Zhaolong's experience, people like Guanxin who'd never had a boyfriend before were all innocent. They were easy to get. However, Guanxin was different, and he was having a hard time hitting on her.

After Zhaoming left, a nurse came, Li Xiaomei. She was a very good friend of Guanxin and couldn't help but curl her lips after seeing the roses in the corridor: "He's rich, isn't he? Ninety-nine roses are at least three hundred RMB. How could you just throw it away like this!"

"It's his money anyway, who cares?" Guanxin smiled. "Why, is he your cup of tea? Should I introduce him to you?"

"So, even you are able to see through him, how could I accept his flowers then?" Guanxin shook her head. "Okay, shall we continue our work. We might get scolded when the head nurse catches us chatting here!"

"You are the Miss. I mean, who would scold you? Do they think that they can get away after scolding you?" Xiaomei and Guanxin were friends since their school days, so she knew Guanxin's family background very well. She knew that her father was the biggest shareholder of hospitals and her grandfather was none other than the famous in the medical world, Guan Xuemin the Miracle Doctor Guan!

"Hehe, others are ignorant of my real identity. Even if they knew, I don't think they will categorize me as special," Guanxin replied while working on what she left behind just now. "If you don't want the bonus anymore, please continue standing there and do nothing."

Zhaoming left the hospital with low spirits and went up a Porsche Cayenne. Both his lackeys were inside, Zhu Xiaozhang and Wang Shubin.

"Master Ming, how was it? Did you give her the flowers?" Zhu Xiaozhang asked.

"F*ck, don't mention that shit. A f*cking bad start again!" Zhaoming waved his hand dismissively and seated himself in the co-driver seat.

"What's wrong, Master Ming? Your flowers….." Zhu Xiaozhang was startled with Zhaoming's reaction.

"The flowers were delivered, but to the hospital!" Zhaoming was pissed. "The girl isn't easy, and she's insanely quick-witted too. She may look all gentle and soft on the outside, but she's super smart! Damn, I was dismissed and my flowers were left in the corridor!"

"Ah?" Xiaozhang and Shubin were both looking at each other, speechless. They thought that if Zhaoming were to be serious, there was no way he would fail. However, it wasn't the case-he failed miserably, twice in a row, no less!

"Next time, I think I've to change my way of approaching her. A chance encounter is too cheap, she won't fall for it!" Zhaoming waved his hand. "Let's discuss, think of something good, and produce a decent idea!"

"This…. Don't we always throw the money when it comes to hitting on girls?" Zhu Xiangzhan was brainstorming, but he couldn't think of any good strategy. He was an arrogant man who always spends his money without a care in the world, so all the gold diggers always came flying to him.

"Idiot, Guanxin is obviously not a gold digger. In fact, her family is rich. She doesn't even care about money. All of our previous tactics won't work on her!" Zhaoming glared daggers at Xiaozhang. "Can't you think of something more useful?"
