Song Lingshan couldn't understand what was so good about Yu Xiaoke. She was just a thief, so why did Lin Yi care so much about her?

The instant when Yu Xiaoke's stretcher was about to be loaded into the ambulance, she suddenly jumped up from the stretcher and waved her hands at Song Lingshan, "Lingshan sis, goodbye! I'm going!"

The ambulance was parked outside the area which the police sealed with tape, so there wasn't much police guarding it. The few people who were there were only there to help the doctors and nurses. No one would imagine that a severely injured patient could run away!

"Yu Xiaoke! Stop right there!" Song Lingshan's nose was crooked from anger. Yu Xiaoke was too cunning! She pretended to be unconscious to guard before running away!

It was obviously too late for Song Lingshan to act. Although Yu Xiaoke was injured, her qinggong wasn't a joke. Song Lingshan regretted not putting her full power into her fist. She didn't injure Yu Xiaoke severely enough, giving her the chance to escape!

In fact, Song Lingshan misunderstood it. Yu Xiaoke was in fact injured severely. Even if she didn't use her full strength, not everyone could withstand an attack from a gold division master. Yu Xiaoke could escape with such wounds was because of the beliefs inside her heart. Once Song Lingshan caught her, she didn't mind going to jail, but what about the children at the orphanage?

Yu Xiaoke clenched her teeth tightly and escaped. The responsibility of providing food and shelter for those children was a heavy burden, and she could not make a single wrong move!

"Lingshan sis, I'll see you later!" Although she looked like she was in pain, her voice was happy. She successfully escaped from Song Lingshan again.

"Yu Xiaoke, remember this! I'm going to beat you to death next time!" Song Lingshan was furious and glared at Yu Xiaoke.

Yu Xiaoke didn't argue back this time. She was aware of her injury and her beliefs forced her to support herself and run towards the orphanage.

Lin Yi was touched and said, "I'll follow her and see how she is."

"You can catch her?" Song Lingshan was delighted since she thought Lin Yi was going to help her catch Yu Xiaoke.

"No. She's in bad shape, I'm scared that you'll kill her," Lin Yi replied and left.

Song Lingshan stomped her foot angrily. Lin Yi could definitely catch Yu Xiaoke, but he decided not to but to check her wounds!

However, she couldn't intervene with Lin Yi's actions. Although she was furious, she couldn't oppose Lin Yi at all.

Lin Yi followed Yu Xiaoke secretly but saw that Yu Xiaoke ran towards the shanty town. Lin Yi had to admit that she was extremely fast. If he wasn't in the mystic division and relatively fast, Lin Yi wasn't certain that he could catch up to Yu Xiaoke.

In an instant, Yu Xiaoke flashed through the alleys in the shantytown, arriving at a shabby orphanage. She pushed the gate open and immediately collapsed onto the ground unable to get up again as she used all her strength to escape.

Lin Yi admired Yu Xiaoke's endurance. She was so far from here yet she reached here with the last bit of her energy, which was rather rare and valuable.

It was a rather worn out yard. There was a black wooden sign with white writings at the front of the yard. But because it was old, it was rather mottled. There were a few words faintly written on it, but Lin Yi had to look close to see that 'Shantytown's Private Orphanage' was written on it.

So this was the orphanage? The majority of Lin Yi's doubts towards Yu Xiaoke disappeared. He was almost a hundred percent sure that everything Yu Xiaoke said was true.

However, he was emotionally touched at the condition of the orphanage.

Lin Yi quickly followed her and stopped next to Yu Xiaoke. He lowered his body and reached out to check her wounds.

"Who are you? Let go of Xiaoke sis!"

"Bad guy! Leave Xiaoke sis alone!"

Suddenly, a group of children ran away from the only red brick building standing in the yard, surrounding Lin Yi since they didn't want Lin Yi to step any closer.

"Xiaoke sis, what happened? Wah… Xiaoke sis, why are you vomiting blood?" A little girl saw fresh blood around Yu Xiaoke's mouth and immediately cried.

Another boy who came with the group glared at Lin Yi, "Who are you? Why did you hurt Xiaoke sis?"

Lin Yi didn't think that these children would misunderstand his intentions, but he didn't bother to argue with children weren't they weren't mature enough yet. They saw Yu Xiaoke laying on the ground and thought that Lin Yi was the bad guy who harmed Yu Xiaoke.

However, there was one thing Lin Yi could see and it was the deep connection Yu Xiaoke had with these children. This meant that everything she said before was true. She stole for the sake of these children, for the sake of this orphanage!

"What are you all doing? All of you, get back inside!" An imposing voice sounded behind them and Lin Yi raised his head. It was an old lady around fifty years old. She walked out of the orphanage quickly and stopped in front of in Yi. She glanced at Yu Xiaoke and shifted her glance back to Lin Yi before her expressions becoming more complicated.

"Dean, this person is a bad guy! He hurt Xiaoke sis!"

"Xiaoke sis is bleeding! Can we call the police to catch him?"

"Hush! All of you, get back in!" The old lady whom the children addressed as the dean scolded them, "You have nothing to do here. Go back and read your books!"

"But dean, Xiaoke sis is vomiting blood… Wah…" The younger girl cried and she was unwilling to leave.

"What? You won't even listen to me now? Get back in, now!" The old lady scolded the little girl and pulled her over away from Lin Yi. She then spoke to an older boy, "Ken, take your brothers and sisters back inside!"

The boy named Ken glanced at Yu Xiaoke full of worries, but he didn't dare to oppose the dean's order. He finally gathered the children and took them back inside the red brick house.
