Chapter One Hundred and eleven
Damien's POV;
She was red as beet and it was a hilarious sight. She rushed out of the bathroom in haste. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around me even as I wiped my head with the other.
"Why are you running away?" I asked as I came out and saw her pacing the room.
"Are you seriously asking me that?" She asked me still blushing furiously.
"Yes I am."
"Really, Damien?"
I shrugged, pretending to be oblivious.
"Would you help me with applying my lotion?"
"Don't push it, Kingston." She glared at me and marched out of the room.
I chuckled.

Only two days in and I was making immense progress. I just needed to recover properly so I could execute my other plans. I love this woman and I'm not letting her go no matter what she thinks.
I looked at the time. It was past time for me to take my medication and Ariana wasn't anywhere in sight. I picked up my phone to call her and it rang for a while but she did not pick up.
I called over and over again until it totaled ten missed calls. Then, I realized she was blatantly ignoring me.
I called for a maid and soon enough there was someone rapping at my door. She let herself in at my instruction.
"Yes sir?"
"Go call me my wife."
She had a clueless look on her face until I glared up at her. She flinched and rushed off to the room opposite mine.
In a few minutes, she returned.
"Sir she said she's busy but she isn't doing anything." The maid who obviously was a loudmouth said with downturned lips and furrowed brows.
"Go back and tell her that it's important that she shows up because my health is at stake." I ordered, trying to hide my provocation at Ariana's behavior.
"Yes sir." She once again rushed out of the bedroom. It was tiring to watch as she came back.
"She said to give you these." The maid showed me the dosage of the drugs I was supposed to take for the afternoon packed in a tiny see through zipper bag.
I sighed.
"Hand them over." I stretched my palm and she dropped them in. Then, she handed me a glass of water to take them.
I dismissed the young woman and swallowed the drugs at one go and got into bed once again.
I had think of a way to bring Ariana into this room.
"Think, think, think!" I said to myself tapping my feet furiously on the floor as I sat on the bed. A light bulb lit in my head soon enough.
"Amy!"
I picked up my phone and dialed her immediately. She was most probably hanging out with mom, so it would be easy.
"Hey boo." She chirped cheerily.
"Boo? I'm a married man, Amy." I smirked.
She tutted. I always not so subtly reminded her of her relationship status.
"What do you want, Damy?" She drawled and instinctively I cringed at the nickname.
"I need your help."
"Okay? What's up?
"It's Ariana-"
"Oh no you don't!" She exclaimed, cutting me short.
"Please Amy, I really need your help. She's refusing to speak to me." I begged.
"I'd rather not get involved in your marital squabbles, Damien." She sounded serious
"Do you want me to die?" I had to get her to help me somehow.
"What? No!" She exclaimed sounding totally appalled. "Why on earth would you say that?!"
"I'm saying so because Ariana is the only reason why I want to live." I sounded melodramatic, I know.
"Corny lines of a man in love."
I could bet on my last penny that she was rolling her eyes.
"What do you want me to do?"
I let her in on the plan and she hesitantly agreed, insisting that I owed her big time. Of course I agreed.
"You can run, but you can't hide babe." I soliloquized with a smirk.

Ariana's POV;
"Here boy," I said to Mico. He was growing pretty fast and this little black guy was killing me with cuteness.
He bounced over to me and I gave him one of those affectionate rubs he was used to.
Damien hadn't met him yet because he just arrived earlier and I had been avoiding that husband of mine for reasons well known.
I felt a little bit guilty for not going over to give him his medication but after what happened in the morning, I was too embarrassed to face him.
It had only been two days since my return and I had already broken a few of my rules.
"Hey Ariana," Fiona's voice came through from the outside while she knocked slightly on the door.
"Fiona, come in." I beckoned and she twisted the knob and stepped into the room.
"OMG, he's so cute!" She exclaimed at the sight of Mico who drew back due to the presence of a stranger.
"It's okay boy, I'm not mean." She said in a pouty voice as she sat next to him who was staring at her strangely.
"I can't believe Damien let you bring him in here. That man does not like pets." She muttered.
"I'm surprised too." I admitted.
"I guess love makes you do the craziest things." She sang out with a wiggle of her eyebrows as she bumped into me.
I hid my face in one of the pillows.
"Damien seems so happy now that you're back even with the accident." She said sporting an observatory look on her face.
"Mhmmm." I feigned being uninterested in the conversation although it sort of sweetened my heart to hear that Damien was happy about me. It was unexpected.
A knock came through just then.
"Come in." We hollered in unison.
"Hi guys." Amy chirped as she walked in.
"Hi Amy." I said as she came over to give me a hug.
"You guys need to see what I got…" she had an excited grin etched on her face
"Oh?"
"You two come with me." She led us out of the room and I carried Mico with me.
I thought we were heading to the West wing of the mansion only to see that we just heading to the room opposite mine.
I saw Damien in front of the mirror wearing a nice white t-shirt.
"What do you think?" I knew he was talking to me because his eyes were trained on me.
"It looks really good." I said.
"Thanks Amy." He said, winking at his sister.
"You're welcome. Anyways I have work to handle so I'll see you guys later." She said and pulled Fiona who took Mico from me before leaving.
I bit my lips trying to not drool over his packs that were in full display because of the tight shirt.
"I better go." My right thumb was pointed to the door as I made a move to go.
"See you later then." He said.
That was unusual, I expected him to tell me to stay. Not like I would but at least I could say no.
I was close to the door when I heard him speak up;
"Alexa, lock the doors."
I heard all the doors in the room automatically click their locks.
I twisted the knob and of course it was locked. I looked up and yelled;
"Alexa unlock the doors!"
"I don't take orders from you, sorry." She replied.
"Ouch." I held on to my chest. Alexa is Savage.
I leaned my head on the door as I struggled with the knob.
"Damien please open the door." I said, tired of struggling.
I saw two palms on either side of the door, the next minute, trapping me. I turned to him and saw that he was leaning dangerously close to me.
"Damien," I called out in warning.
"Open this door right now." I pointed back at the object standing in the way of my escape.
"Okay. But, I have a condition."
I grunted.
"What do you want this time?" I mumbled.
"You'll sleep here tonight." His hands were slowly making their way down to my waist. I smacked them off with immediate effect.
"No."
"You're stuck with me either way, you know that right?" He rubbed my face with his knuckles.
"Damien, why are you doing this?" I asked, sounding tired. His closeness was messing with my head.
"I'm doing this because," he intertwined his fingers with mine and glued it to the door.
"I love you."
My heart raced. I still had not gotten used to him saying those words.
My eyes fluttered close as he leaned closer to to put his nose on mine. He nuzzled my face and dropped a kiss on my cheek.
"I love you so much." He whispered again.
My eyes met his for a brief moment.
"I'll sleep here tonight, you can open the door now."
I know I ruined the moment but it was getting too intense for my liking.
He shut his eyes and let out a groan.
"You just had to ruin the moment huh?" His tone wasn't exactly decipherable but was sounded somewhat frustrated.
My eyes stared at anything but him and he took a step back.
"Alexa, unlock the doors." He said a little loudly.
"Unlocking doors..." I heard the computerized voice say as well another bout of locks clicking.
My eyes were trained on his as I walked out of the room without turning my back to him. I did not want any more surprises.
