Chapter Fifty three
Ariana's POV;
"What are you doing here?!" Tracy spat, glaring at me.
"I just wanted to make sure you're okay." I said softly to her.
"I didn't ask for your help." She muttered coldly as she washed her face.
She reached for a disposable towel and wiped her face and mouth with it as she kept glaring at me through the mirror spitefully.
She stumbled a little and I held her from falling.
"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly, she looked really pale.
"I'm fine." She said and walked out on me. I walked behind her and we both went into the dining room where everyone was seated waiting for us with worried looks on their faces.
Tracy soon held her head and stumbled again before she lost consciousness. I caught her before her she could reach the floor.
Aiden rushed over and lifted her in his arms protectively.
"Let's take her to the hospital!" He yelled.
"No, let's call the doctor." Damien said and was already putting a call across before anyone could speak. Aiden looked like he wanted to protest against the idea but decided against it.
Aiden had her taken up to her room and we all followed, waiting for the doctor to arrive. The family doctor arrived in no time and went about his job and we all sat around the room watching him.
He soon asked for us to excuse him as he had some questions for the patient who had eventually come awake.
We all went down to the living room in the West wing but then I noticed that Aiden did not come with us, it seemed like no one else noticed his absence. We all kept busy with our phones until the doctor came in.
"Is she alright Kingsley?" Mom asked the moment she spotted him. He nodded and she sighed in relief.
"From the look of things, your daughter is pregnant," Dr Kingsley was saying.
"Pregnant?!" We all chorused in shock before he could speak further. Now this was some news I did not see coming.
"Yes, pregnant. We'll ascertain how far along she is when she comes to the hospital for a proper scan tomorrow. Have a good night all." He recited and went on his way with Jesse who escorted him out.
We all stood staring at each other in disbelief but we had no idea how much of a surprise we were actually in for.
When Jesse came back in, it was like our senses were now functional. We soon found ourselves in Tracy's room with Aiden seated next to her weeping self on the bed.
"Tracy?" Mom said and went next to her, hugging her closely and wiping the tears as they flowed.
"Mom, I didn't mean for this to happen. I don't even-" She spluttered through her tears while her mother hushed her.
"It's okay hon, it's okay. Stop crying now, it isn't good for the baby." Mom said, placing Tracy's head on her shoulder whilst rubbing her hair.
"Who's the father?"
That was Damien. I turned swiftly to him as he spoke, his expression gave nothing away so I truly hoped everything was alright from his end.
"It's..." Tracy was very hesitant to speak.
I personally assumed that she had a boyfriend who had put her in the family way so I did not take it as a big deal until I saw her reluctance.
"I am."
All heads turned to Aiden and back to Damien. I saw Damien's nose flare and I just wanted to run and hide.
"Aiden!" Tracy screamed in horror.
"You touched my sister?!" Damien was walking towards him slowly and I saw as Aiden slowly stood up.
"Listen man, it's not what you think." Aiden said coolly and gestured for Damien to calm down but this husband of mine was not having it.
"What else am I supposed to think? You got her pregnant!" He yelled pointing at his sister who was horrified beyond words.
It all happened so fast and in the blink of an eye, Aiden was on the floor, half conscious with a bleeding nose while mom, Tracy and Fiona were screaming. Damien tried lunging at him again but was held back by Gerald and Jesse who with great difficulty got him out of the room.
I was confused. I did not have even the slightest idea of what to do at that moment. Stay back and try to make sure Aiden was okay or go to Damien who was a raging fireball at that point. I figured that the latter needed me more than the former although I might come out hurt in the end so I jogged out of the house and got into the east wing searching for him.
I searched our rooms upstairs and saw that he was not in either of them, then I went into his study for the first time ever and saw that he was seated there gulping down a glass of his usual.
I treaded cautiously, fully aware of how much of a ticking time bomb he was whenever he got pissed.
"Damien?" I called out softly and he ignored me but I sat in front of him anyway.
I stayed quiet watching as his jaw clenched and unclenched in rage. I swallowed and told myself that it was better if I left him to himself.
I stood up from the plush chair placed on the other side of his desk, facing him directly and was turning to take my leave when I heard him speak.
"Where are you going?" He asked with his voice way deeper than usual. I guessed that was his angry voice.
"Uh, I just wanted to leave you to cool off." I said.
"Hmmm." He hummed mockingly.
"Sit." He ordered in his usual bossy tone.
"No, I'll just leave." I insisted.
"Now Ariana!" He raised his voice and I hated it.
"Don't raise your voice at me." I said steadily, matching his gaze as I spoke.
"When you're not grumpy, we'll talk. Have a good night." I said conclusively and walked to the door and pulled it open. He held my hand before I could step out.
"Move back into our bedroom." He whispered lightly kissing my shoulder blade.
"Damien that's not why I came here." I reminded him but he ignored my statement, pulled me back inside by my waist and shut the door with his foot.
"I know, but I don't want to talk about that." He said huskily whilst nuzzling my neck in the process.
Concentrate Ariana, concentrate.
"You should not have hit Aiden like that, it was absolutely uncalled for." I said to him and tried pushing him off me from behind. That singular act only worsened things because he held me closer to him and my butt was really touching his crotch area now. He kissed my ear and nibbled it slightly.
"Damien." I called out softly but it sounded like a moan instead. That egged him on to continue his sweet torture.
I had to stop him before things could get out of hand.
"Stop it, please." I managed to say steadily. He did not listen at first until I wriggled myself out of his arms.
"Just listen." I turned to face him and fought every thought of me trying to kiss him.
He sighed and gestured for me to go on.
"Why did you have to go violent on him? Aiden's your best friend." I pointed out.
"That's the more reason why I had to go violent on him because he should know better." He said fisting his palm, I held and opened it with great difficulty though.
"You should have listened to what he had to say. Your fit of rage did not help the situation, it only worsened things." I told him frankly. He stared at me for a second and looked the other way.
"Ariana, let it rest." He uttered but I was not having it.
"I just have to tell you the truth." I pressed further.
"And why do you think that responsibility is yours?" He questioned and I was tongue tied for a second.
"Well, because I'm your wife and even if we're not the real deal, I think I'm your friend as well." I said with my heart in my mouth.
He gave me a side glance after I completed my sentence.
"You think you're my friend?" He asked with emphasis on the word 'think', I swallowed because the way he looked at me was messing with my mind and body.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"We're friends, yes, but the question here is would a friend do this?" He pulled me close and nuzzled me before capturing my lips in his.
I was straddling him on his seat before I knew it and the make out session grew intense. I moaned his name as he sucked on my neck while rubbing his hands all over me. He squeezed my thick behind a little bit and I moaned even more.
"Damien?" The door came open all of a sudden and I wanted to jump off him but he held me firmly.
"Ohhh I surely came in at a wrong time." Ma Rosa said clearing her throat awkwardly. She looked red and I never thought I'd see the day that ma Rosa would be so flustered. I almost laughed but I was super embarrassed, myself.
"Uh go on. I'll talk to you tomorrow." She said to Damien who nodded while I looked away in mortification, still straddling him. She left and as soon as she did, Damien whispered the words that brought me back to my actual senses.
"What do you say we take this to the bedroom?" He said huskily, his eyes had gone darker and from what I felt, I knew he was really aroused but I was not ready for that kind of commitment. With less than a year to be with him, taking things to another level would only make things more complicated and overly difficult for both of us, especially me.
I shook my head in the negative.
"Damien we can't." I rejected the idea.
"What's stopping us? I want it, you want it too." He said in a bid to convince me.
"This is dangerous territory Damien and I don't want to tread on it." I said, trying to get off him but he still held me in place.
"Isn't danger what makes things more exciting?" He said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ears.
"Not for me Damien, no it's not." I disagreed.
"We don't feel anything for each other, other than physical attraction, there's nothing else to this and I deserve more than that." I said looking into his eyes while I spoke.
He nodded in understanding, releasing his tight hold on me.
"Can I ask you for something?" I inquired.
"Sure, anything."
"Can you try to not touch me like this unless we have to do it for the crowd?" I asked wringing my fingers as I waited for an answer. I just felt like we were going to further complicate things for ourselves if we kept on doing these make out sessions that were gradually escalating into different acts.
"I don't think it would be an easy task to keep my hands of you but I'll try, for real." He said sincerely.
"I'd really appreciate you trying your best." I said
"I will." He gave me his word and helped me get up when I wanted to.
I walked over to the door and waved him good night, he waved back with a, lopsided grin and winked. I laughed as I walked out and headed into my room.
I laid on the bed with a relieved smile on my face, at least that was out of the way.
