Chapter Ninety five
Our altercation was far from over and we had successfully created a scene that everyone around had gathered to see.
"Well, if you weren't depriving him of his marital rights, he wouldn't have come to me." She yelled from the terrace where mom held her to keep her away from me. Lucky for her because she would be crying her eyes out due to pain if she was next to me.
"My sex life with my husband is none of your business!" I got even more agitated at the thought of what she insinuated.
My non-existent sex life with him, that is. I thought.
"Yeah right. You're unable to satisfy him, your curves are useless!" She spewed
"That's it!" I snapped.
I forced myself out of Ma Rosa's arms and marched towards the terrace to give the slut a much deserved beating.
I was almost there but someone's strong arms pulled me back. I thrashed around, hoping he would let me go but he held on tighter.
"Damien let me go!" I screamed while my legs were fluttering up in the air.
"Ariana calm down!" He yelled back at me.
"Don't tell me to calm down! Let me teach her a lesson! I'll put a scar on your slutty face!" I ranted glaring hatefully at the tramp.
"Mom, get Aleena out of here!" Damien ordered.
"I'm going nowhere!" The silly human yelled back at him.
"Guards!" Damien called out and they rushed out.
"Take her out of here and make sure you pick up her luggage too."
"Yes sir." All four of them chorused.
Two of them held on to Aleena who was trying to resist them while the other two carried the suitcases away.
Once she was taken away, Damien turned to the rest of the workers in the room.
"What are you all waiting for? Leave now!" He ordered in his bossy tone and they all scrambled out of the room.
I was breathing heavily by the time he let me go.
"That was intense." Amy commented looking like she was trying to recover.
"We'll just excuse you both." Mom said clearing her throat awkwardly as she ushered everyone else out of the room.
Once I heard the door close, I swiftly turned to him.
"This is all your fault!"
"Ariana please calm down. We need to stand by each other and not fight over this. You're letting her win." He said, like I was a child.
"You got another woman pregnant Damien." I said putting my hands on my head. It was almost like I just realized it.
"Don't we already know that?" He sarcastically responded. I spitefully glared up at him.
"You said you don't want kids!" I pointed at him in accusation.
"I still don't!"
"Then how come your mistress is expecting a baby?!" I had my hands akimbo as I paced the room frantically.
"There's nothing between Aleena and I! This was a mistake and I can't even explain how it happened!" He looked really frustrated.
"Are you trying to get back at me for depriving you of sex or something?" I paused and pointed at myself even as I felt the angry tears of betrayal blur my vision.
"What? No!" He denied.
"Then what is the meaning of this?"
"Ariana I have feelings for you only and I'd never do that to you!" He defended strongly.
"Take a paternity test." I demanded.
"I have." He said solemnly.
"And?"
There was a really long pause.
"The baby's mine." He sad looking at me sadly.
"She can't stay in this house." I said firmly.
"Babe let's just let her stay here. She wouldn't let us be if we don't. She's still carrying my baby and I just have to do right by her." He said in a placating manner.
I sniffled.
"Damien, some woman who was your childhood best friend and is trying to take over our home, our marriage and you're just going to let her? She just humiliated me."
I swallowed, looked up at the ceiling and nodded.
"You have humiliated me. I can't even show my face to anyone. I'm being painted as the bad wife to everyone out there all because of you, Damien! I didn't ask for this. I did not ask for any of this."
"Ariana you have to believe me, this is all a huge misunderstanding that I'm trying to figure out and I need you to bear with me. Let's get through this together." He reached for my hand but I pulled away, shaking my head slowly.
"I can't do this anymore Damien, I can't." I said continuously shaking my head in the negative.
"I want a divorce." I said wiping my tear filled eyes. My continuous sniffling wasn't helping me.
"Ariana you know that's not possible until we cross the one year mark." He said looking at me like I was delirious or something.
"I know but I'm telling you beforehand so that you'll be ready for it." I stated.
"But now, I want a separation." I dropped the bombshell.
"What?!" He looked like he was about to suffer a stroke.
"Babe, it hasn't gotten to this." He tried to reach for me again and I moved away.
"The hell it hasn't!" I exclaimed.
"I'm leaving Damien. I can't deal with any of this anymore, I can't!"
"Ariana please don't do this to me! To us!"
"There is no us! This is all an act remember? This is a marriage of convenience and I stayed more than halfway through it. I can't take it anymore. I need my peace of mind." I spewed out, fighting back the tears that refused to stop pouring out. He fell mute after my outburst.
I rushed into the closet grabbed one of the several suitcases and shoved anything I could into it. Tears blinded my eyes as I picked up whatever it is I could find but I didn't care, I just needed to leave.
I changed out of my comfortable indoor outfit into a pair of simple jeans and a large top. I combed through my hair with my fingers and tied it up with a scrunchy. I also applied light make up to hide how glum I looked.
I rolled my box out after a while and saw him seated on the bed. I saw the plea in his eyes but I willed my heart to not soften up for him.
"Ariana." He called out to me when I got to the door. I paused but did not look back.
"Please take your car with you."
"So you can track me?" I retorted.
"At least I'll be sure you're safe. I promised your father that I'd take care of you no matter what."
"I don't need anything from you Damien." I coldly reminded him.
I stared down at my ring finger. With a shaky breath, I took off the platinum gold rings that were a symbol of our marriage. I walked back to him and placed them in his palm. He swallowed.
"We're still married, you can't take off the symbol of our marriage. Please don't." He put the rings back in my hand. He was right but I did not slide them back on, I simply placed them in my pocket.
"At least take the car with you." He said hoarsely.
"I already ordered an uber." I said shaking my head in disagreement.
"Good bye Damien." I said with great difficulty.
I briskly walked out of the room and took the stairs quickly too.
"Mrs Kingston!" Walter called out to me hastily walking up to me as I struggled with my luggage at the bottom of the stairs.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm leaving." I said, faking a smile.
"All of this," I looked around and shook my head.
"it's not for me. I need my peace." I said, faking a smile even when I was weeping on the inside.
"Tell everyone that I'm sorry I couldn't say a proper goodbye. I'll miss you all." I said.
"You'll be thoroughly missed Ariana." He said with a pitiful smile spreading his arms for an embrace.
I went over and hugged him. He reminded me of my father and that fatherly hug was something I needed at this point.
I looked up after I pulled away and saw that Damien had his gaze on me from up there. I looked away, picked up my suitcase and rolled it out without looking back.
I could feel the questioning gazes of all the guards as I walked the distance to the Villa's large gate. I saw my ride waiting for me out there and I slid in.
I didn't know where I was heading but surely I was putting my past behind me.
I was saying goodbye to the one place that had made me shed more tears in seven months than I did my whole life. I was heading for a fresh start and nothing was going to get in the way of it but first I had to figure out where I was going to first.
"Where to ma'am?" The driver asked after we were a safe distance away from my pickup spot.
I opened my mouth to speak but just then my phone rang.
"Excuse me." I said to him and picked up.
"Hello?" I said into the phone.
"Is this Ariana?"
I checked the caller ID.
"Brianna?"
