Clara looked down at the hand holding hers, puzzled. At such an embarrassing moment, shouldn't he let her leave this place?

Not wanting to embarrass him, she looked up at him, her eyes screaming the words " let me go "

As expected, he turned deaf ears to her unspoken pleas. Gently, he placed his arms around her shoulders , pulling her closer , he turned around, now facing Johnson and his daughter , with his clear and magnetic voice, he carefully announced word for word.

"Not sorry for disappointing you , but your conclusion is very wrong; she is my lawfully wedded wife. "

BOOM!

His words came out like a boom to their audience but they started recalling that eventful night .

President Rey had actually gotten married and some of them were fortunate enough to witness it . The Groom had appeared with a picture of a dead little girl. The media even went crazy about it back then , but the news only stayed for two hours before it was taken down. No media platform dares bring it up, again.

The people who were present at the wedding started muttering about the event to those who were not fortunate to attend the wedding or see the news before it was taken down.

Seeing how he publicly confirmed the rumor, Mr Johnson chuckled "I believe President Rey made the right decision. Anyone would have done the same if they were in the same boat. I remember, back then, the stocks of Rey Enterprise had fallen and the shareholders were in a panic. Some of them even withdrew their shares from the company , who would have thought the Davis would be the ones to come to their rescue, but with such a condition , they were trying to marry off their crazy daughter to a wealthy family " he exhaled heavily, " shameless people, taking advantage of the weak " he did all he could to turn the story, putting all the blames on Clara's family.

"People like Mr Xavier know what's best for them. Mover forward Jen and apologize to Mr Xavier." He urged his daughter to laugh.

Although he didn't say it directly, the people were quick to grab his meaning . Mr Johnson was persuading Xavier to quickly get a divorce and marry his daughter instead.

Seeing the situation, she looked at him, wondering what he would do. Although it would be beneficial for her if he agreed to divorce, why is it that she doesn't want to hear that answer at that moment?

With a little force he pulled her, closer, slamming her on his hard chest , his big hands now on her small waist. This caught everyone off the guide , he looked down at her with tender eyes, then, directed his gaze back at Mr Johnson coldly with a chilling smile, " you can keep your daughter's apology for now. Maybe there's a better place for her to learn proper behavior someday, since she failed to learn from home."

Mr Johnson was shocked and his cheek was swollen purple from the verbal slap that he had just received. He felt like he had lost face in his own gathering.

His few words were not only criticizing , it was hinted that he didn't teach his daughter proper attic and that they would resolve things in court.

Xavier was so vicious and arrogant.

" President Rey, keep you at home, I need to tend to President Davis and other people ", saying this, he pulled his daughter. and they walked out. Xavier only watched him leave before his cold gaze fell on the woman beside him.

Her beautiful face and her clear eyes were shining brightly with fright like that of a frightened little rabbit, innocent and helpless. Her long curved eye lashes were like that of a porcelain doll,her skin as white as snow , her little love-shaped lips were pink and tempting.

Her off-shouldered dress hugging her skin like a second skin, brings out all her perfect curves. Beauties of ancient times were nothing compared to his woman, but, why is she this brainless?

Clara was actually going to apologise and explain things but she couldn't even alter a word , all she could do was stick out her tongue to wet her lips . The man swallowed hard ,' did she really have to do this now? Or is this little lamp trying to seduce me ? Well, it worked . Just see how I lavish those juicy lips of yours ' he was. He slammed his lips on hers when Tony showed up. "Boss Mr Kiel and Mr Alex are here. They are waiting in the courtyard. "

"Do you want to stay?Or should I ask someone to send you home ? "Suddenly she heard his voice coming from above her head and she was certain that he was talking to her.

She understood that he wanted to leave her by herself, she wanted to tag along, but, for him to ask her, this he probably didn't want her to. He wanted to go to meet some people and he didn't want to bring her along.

She smiled and nodded her head in response and watched them leave, standing by the fountain alone. She felt lonely and bored , because of what happened earlier, the people around were all avoiding her.

"Why are you here?" In the courtyard, Xavier asked, taking the red wine that Kiel had just poured out on the table. He leaned against the table and took a sip.

" Someone invited me to come over here and see you save a damsel in distress" Alex said with a smile as he swalled a glass of wine playfully.

" Hey, it's was you who flew a private jet down here and asked me to come with you". Kiel finally understood the meaning of the word *the guilty party fell suit.* his best friend is trying to sell him out.

"It is obvious that both of you have nothing to do in country B "

He gave them a cold sneer.

"No , not at all , I'm a very busy person, but I don't know about others. I only appeared here in other to know your mentally ill wife ,I did my best to shorten my one month work to one week , so you see how much we care about you" Kiel praised himself with a proud smile. Xavier looked at him in disdain

"did she bite you?"

"Uh...no ", why did he have to look at him like that?

"Did she bark at you ?"

" No ,she is not a dog. "

" Then did she Chase after you with a knife ?"

" No, of course, we have no bad scores between us."

"Then why are you so sure that she is crazy ?" With the look in his eyes, Ezekiel already knew he must have crossed the line.

'Oh !, so he said so much nonsense just to clarify that his wife is not mentally ill '.

Kiel turned to his other friend Alex for help, only to find him laughing his ass out, "so you are here to enjoy the drama? "

"I believe my eyes would turn moist if someone did not engage in this show " Alex replied, grinning.

" Well, there are easier ways to make them moister.

By sponsoring eye drops at your doorstep" Kiel said, furiously.

"how man, how on Earth did you befriend him back then ? " Alex asks the cold man sitting beside him..

" ha ha... look at you, of course he is not as hypocritical as you " Ezekiel quickly replied, hissing at Alex.

" Did I make friends with him? "

As soon as Xavier's voice faded , Ezekiel dramatically fell clumsly to the floor with his hand pressing his left chest.

He is even more wicked than Alex, denying him his friend so coldly .

Seeing Tony coming, Xavier carefully dropped the glass of wine he was holding and walked over to him..

"How did I offend him now ? " Kiel asks, ignorant of what he did wrong.

" What did you think ?, calling a man's wife crazy too in his presence", Alex said, glaring at him....

Ezekiel was even more surprised." Do you think he has fallen for her ? Or why did he defend her like that ? But didn't he have scores to settle with her family ? He married her just to torture her , right? Did he change his mind after seeing her? That would be one like him. "

Alex shook his head in disbelief, " like the saying goes, a stupid buddy does you more harm than your enemy as you must be blind right now."

"No, you are the stupid one. How could Xavier fall for a woman from that family? I won't believe that.."

"Well, there is still hope for you, because it may be an act, but in the future we will end up besting him on his day, "Alex said to his stupid friend.
