His choice

Inside his office, Xavier sat on a sofa playing with the silver pen knife in his hand. His eyes were blood tasty and cold.

"Boss, here he is. " Tony said, kicking Stanley, who was caught trying to escape on a boat, to his knee.

" Hello big brother, long time no see " Stanley said nervously. Immediately, he spotted Xavier's cold face.

" Indeed, it has really been a long time, " Xavier replied nonchalantly, standing up with the pen knife, reflecting his coldness, which got Stanley trembling.

" But I heard that you met with your sister-in-law not too long ago. It was very thoughtful of you to send your regards to me through her. " His voice was very bone-chilling, yet he maintained a smiling face, smiling at his little brother tenderly, which got Stanley restless to the extent that he couldn't maintain eye contact with him.

" Y__yes I wanted to send my regards , but my sister-in-law was so scared of me that I had to leave without even saying a word. " he stammered, trying to make his lie believable , looking everywhere but the man before him.

At 7pm last night, he got information from someone that seven men in a silver suit from"Lotus" were after him.

He tried to flee in a boat, since Xavier probably had his men surround every airport. Unknownst to him, he was walking into the lion's den himself, before he realized that it was a trap, he was already in the hands of this four-eyed dog referring to Tony.

On their way here, he concluded that they probably don't have any evidence pointing at him , except that crazy woman's words , so why not just deny everything .

"Tony " Xavier called and Tony retrieved a phone from his pocket and played a video for Stanley.

" Brother, you can't possibly believe this? someone is trying to flame me here , how can I do this to my sister-in-law?." Stanley was physically trembling in fear now, cold sweat broke out from his head wetting the shirt he was putting on .

" You should have told me that you're tired of living and I would have gladly sent you to your ancestors." Xavier's voice was as calm as spring water, as if he was giving advice to his younger brother.

Realizing that he might not be able to make it out of the office alive, Stanley started laughing.

He couldn't continue with his statement as a deep cut appeared on his handsome face, he froze when he felt fresh blood dropping from his nose bridge down to his cheek." You want to kill me ?" he asked, horrified.

" you want to get your revenge, then come at me , how dare you lay your filthy hands on my wife.... ? "

Another, a deeper cut, appeared just an inch away from his eyes. But Stanley was like a psychic now. Instead of crying in pain,he let out a mocking chuckle.

" Ah ah ah ah, looking at you now, it must've been very embarrassing seeing your wife in bed with another man, the crazy woman made you cuckled , didn't she? "

"You know I have done a lot of evil deeds in the name of business, my hands are stained with blood from different trash like you. Looking at you now , I think you can fetch me some cool notes. "

" So what will you do?marry me to an African family? There's nothing new under the sun, so bring it on. " Stanley was becoming even more daring as he spoke.

" But at least I will have some fun before going. " his last statement carried lots of meaning which didn't escape Xavier's notice.

Tony hurriedly called Mrs Leah. After getting the news, he informed his boss.

Madam is missing! "

Pulling Stanley by his collar, Xavier roared angrily " what did you do to her ? " His eyes were filled with bloodlust as he glared a dagger at the man before him who was still laughing.

" Why don't you make a guess, brother? You are no fun, I'll tell you, you should stop looking at me like that. Can't you see the table has turned? Your hands are tied now. If you make a rash decision, her corpse will be delivered to your doorstep tonight. You will get a call soon."

He so much wanted to kill this person himself but his phone started ringing just like the bastard said.

"Whoa!, brother! Long time no see! " a familiar voice greeted him immediately. He connected the call.

" Nelson!" Xavier hissed, gritting his teeth in anger.

" Wow! Brother, you must have missed me so much to recognize my voice so easily", Nelson joked.

" Where is she?If anything happens to her, consider yourself dead. "

"She?Which of them? the round-faced little wench? or my beautiful sister-in-law? "

On learning that Flora was also in their hands, Xavier became more tensed, his clenched knuckles turned white.

" State your condition. " he said calmly. Unknown to him, his reaction got Stanley to tremble in fear.

" Tony , withdraw 20million cash and bring it to the seaport and get one of our good ships ready. I'm leaving everything to your care. Don't disappoint me. " he instructed Tony , who immediately passed the information to someone else. When he saw Xavier getting ready to leave, he asked

"Boss, should I get the car ?"

" Forget it and look for something else to do. " he said, walking out with Stanley behind him.

' What? The boss brothers are out. What if his father also appeared? Wouldn't the boss be in danger? ' he thought.

Xavier arrived at the said destination, when he saw traces of footsteps.

He realized that the occupants had already left the place. He looked around but found no sigh of anyone around. It didn't look like where someone once lived .

His phone rang again.

"Brother, you must have arrived. There are two huts behind the cottage. Your ladies are in different huts and I placed some toys on both of them.

Once you save one of them, immediately the other person will blast. I did it just to help you choose wisely , and make your life meaningful, since I know you must be confused because of the sudden appearance of that round-faced monkey , don't worry , you can thank me later. Okay, bye and thanks for the money, see you never !! " he hung up .

Xavier sneered ' your wish will come true. Both of you are my send off present to her.'

He ran to the back and indeed there were two huts, just like he said , the distance between the huts was just two miles away from each other.

" Lilac! " he called out anxiously.

" Flora, if you are hearing me, just make a sound so that I will know which hut you are in, " he said.

" Mr Xavier, save your wife. I owe her a lot. I have no choice idea she's your wife and I hurt her badly. You are also at fault. Why did you lie to me? "

" Flora, you don't owe anyone an apology, it's her family's fault things ended up the way they are now. You don't have to apologise."

" Don't come close to me, Xavier. If you do, I will diffuse this bomb and Kill myself. "Glory threatened.

Meanwhile, Clara was trying hard not to cry. She already expected this outcome but it really hurts hearing all this because she had the name Davis behind hers, she was qualified to die here. Maybe this was the only way she could be free from him.

He should save Glory and live happily with her. She touched her stomach and muttered "Sorry child, I can't be your mom in this life but mummy will make sure you don't feel any pain."

" I'm sorry Clara, but I need to save her. " he had his back turned to Clara's hut. Clunching his fist, he continued .

" Flora, you can hate me all you want, but I have to save you this time."

The peeping sounds coming out from the two huts got Xavier scared. He quickly untied the rope used to close Glory's hut. Immediately, it opened. He ran in and untied her, but Glory refused to cooperate with him.

"Lilac, do you really want three people to die here?" he asked, already getting frustrated by her stubbornness.

Glory calmed down and said tearfully "You shouldn't sacrifice Clara. "

" Don't worry, I will transfer your bomb to myself,then I will have a way to save her without touching the bomb. "Glory reluctantly agreed on hearing this.

" When I asked you to run, run as fast as you can far from this place, did you hear me ?" Xavier instructed concisely.

"No! " seeing that something wasn't right, Glory refused to follow his idea.

" Flora, listen to me, Tony will be here soon. How will he know where we are if you don't bring him?"

On learning that someone else would be coming to help, she immediately agreed.

" one, two, three run..." He shouted and she started running until she got to a safe place One stopped trying to catch her breath. Immediately she looked back.

BOOM!!!

A huge explosion shook the earth and a crowd of dust covered everything.
