If not for that strange call Rey Groups would have long been destroyed a few months ago, even though many of the shareholders have withdrawn and sold their shares, that company is now the shadow of what it used to be, why would Xavier suddenly want to make a comeback. Huh!!, don't tell me we are out of cash already.>

Different thoughts were running inside Judith's head, as she kept stealing a scrutinizing gaze at the man who had a cynical smirk on his handsome face.

" Judith," he called dry

" Yes boss!" She replied almost immediately, pushing her thoughts aside.

" Do you know how long SOON is? " Xavier asked, ignoring the silly look on his assistant face.

" Yes boss, be less assured, I will surely give you an answer, latest in a month's time, trust me." She has no idea how soon he wants it but she firmly promised to get back to him in a month's time even though she was fully aware that the possibility of her achieving that is very slim.

" A week, you only have one week to give me a positive result. " he said coldly while glaring at her. < I might end up crazy before your fucking one month , you brainless woman! > he screamed inwardly .

" A what!!! " Judith hurriedly covered her mouth with her Palm to stop herself from screaming more words or even insults at her boss, but her eyes already said it all.

<One week my ass!, did you mistake me for a robot?, how could he expect me to carry out such task in just a week , did he think Ryan is that stupid, he must be joking.>she was way too stupified by how cocky Xavier has become, but she wasn't stupid to voice all this out, not when his eyes were shutting lenc at her.

Swallowing her protesting words she asked instead with a hint of disdain" was this the urgent news you called me back for?" she bites down on her bottom lip hoping he has something meaningful to say this time, while fighting back the huge to cry.

" How are those two old men doing ?" He picked up his penknife and started spinning it around, his eyes darkened dangerously, making the room temperature drop to its lowest degree.

His sudden change of Dominion made Judith shiver involuntarily, as she hurriedly passed him a flashdrive.

" Here is the latest update I just received from our men in Italy. Both of them ran out of cash,so they ended up collecting a big loan from an organization that deals with illegal stuff. " Judith narrated to the man who was busy inserting the drive into his system.

An evil smile curved on his lips as he stared at the two jubilating figures who appeared on the screen.

" Time to make a move ,then. " he whispered loud enough for her to hear,as he spun around on his seat.

" Yes boss, I'll carry out this order immediately." Judith replied cracking her inching knackles, kicking the ass of stupid people has always been her favorite part of this Job , not to mention the fact that she needed to vent.

" You are dismissed." he said with a wave of his hand.

" What!What do you mean Xavier went a collaboration with us? " Ryan shouted, jumping out of his seat as if he heard wrongly.

" An insider attack? " He chuckled," does he want to act gently and strike later?If not what else would make him want to collaborate with his enemies immediately after his return . " he demanded an answer from the equally confused managers sitting with him inside the large conference room .

" Decline it !" he ordered coldly, glaring at his PR team manager, who was too dumbstruck to move an inch.

Almost all the business organization in the country, were aware of the fond between the current president of Rey Groups and the Davis, but there shouldn't be any permanent enemy in business, Rey Groups has the best furniture designing team, if they should design the set of furnitures their new shopping mall , this collaboration will help lift the firm of both companies, this was the same collaboration their boss just rejected such a golden opportunity .

The man refused to make a move,he could equally see his fellow men in the room silently nodding in agreement with his decision.

" Do you need me to say that again? " Ryan slammed his palm on the large desk, startling some of the shareholders.

"We're sorry to disagree with you, president Ryan, but this isn't the time to bring up past fonds with Rey Groups,we all know that in business there's no permanent enemies or friends, a collaboration with the Rey Groups is something that will bring great profit to us, which their current reputation in the business world we are the ones to benefit more from it, please reconsider your decision."a middle age man who also happens to be the highest shareholder, was the first to voice out his disagreement before the others nod in support.

" Please reconsider. " They all chorused.

Ryan stared at the old flocks before with a clenched fist,deep down he knows what they are saying was right but he hates the thought of having something to do with Xavier, after what he has done to his niece.

Clara resumed work at exactly 9am today only to find the activity at the company strange ,everyone were engaged in a heated conversation,they formed a little group in a every corner of the company, whispering to one another but immediately any member of the group sight her the conversation dies down and they will start leaving one after the other .

" What's going on? " She asked nobody in particular,as her legs carried her towards the president's office.

" Uncle what is happening, everyone seems far from being normal. " she commented, immediately she walked in.

" What are you doing here? " Ryan asked instead, walking across the desk to stand in front of her with a big frown on his confused face, " I thought I gave you a few days off to get a good rest , why are you finding it hard to obey instructions? " Ryan was already on the edge so seeing the woman he was trying to protect making things hard for him didn't sit well with him.

" Well I never said I need few days off , I'm still very fit, not to mention I have some loan I need to pay off before I put to bed. " Clara protest with a wave of her hand, she was preparing for bed last night when Ryan's call came in, out of the blue her uncle was suddenly giving her some days off and when she asks for a good reason he said she needs a good rest, maybe if it were to be someone else she would have listened but something was not just right with the way he was talking.

" Let's say your voice sold you off last night, so I couldn't help but wonder if we're about to go bankrupt." She replied, rolling her eyes backward as she made herself comfortable on his couch.

' eh!, this woman, the bigger her baby bump, the smarter she's becoming.' Ryan thought to himself as he leaned back on his desk with his arms in front of his chest, taking a deep breath,he let the cat out.

" Xavier wants a collaboration with us , I rejected it but it didn't go well with the board of directors, those old fools claimed that they are no permanent enemies in the organization and that if I don't take up this opportunity it's shows that am not fit to be a CEO so I have no choice but to accept it."Ryan couldn't help but remember how heated the discussion with his board of directors was the previous day.

" That was the main reason I asked you to stay at home ,Incase you ran into him today. " His eyes rested on her big big baby bump before moving up to her face.

Clara stared at him in gratitude, she fell out of words but she need not say a thing because her eyes were already doing that.

"You don't have to worry, Xavier isn't that less busy to show up because of a little project , none of his staff will recognize me except for the people working directly with him."since both of them don't really appear in news it would be very impossible for any of his staff to recognize her, this she was very confident about and also the fact that he won't be coming for such a small collaboration in person .

" Sir the ambassadors from Rey Groups have arrived, should I send them in?" A call from the front desk receptionist interrupted what Ryan was about to say.

" What?! , so soon! " Both of them exchanged glances, seeing the surprise in each other's eyes .

They were only a few minutes past their resuming hour.

"Just what could be going on in that bastard's head?This isn't even close to the said time, Clara, can you make us tea or should I ask someone else to? " he asked after he hung up.

" I will do just that! " she replied, running out to make the tea.

" Sir, there's absolutely no reason for you to come personally. I can handle everything here ." The P. relationship manager of the Rey Groups tried to persuade the man ahead of him .

But he glared coldly at him making him swallow the rest of his words , both of them were now standing in the elevator, the older man's shirt was already drenched in cold sweat as he stood beside his boss, this was the first time his boss was making an appearance in something like this and he couldn't pinpoint the reason for this change .

Xavier looked down at the descending number in the lift with a frown " nonsense, is this the best he could get?, this is so darn slow! "

The elevator came to a stop,then opened. A beautiful woman was standing in front of them with a professional smile but it wasn't the person he was expecting to see.

" Are you the secretary "? asked Xavier with a disappointed look.

" Welcome, gentle men, it's nice to have you here with us today, here's my card " the lady welcomed them with her best smile as he handed him a card, Xavier glared at the man behind him who immediately exchanged business cards with the lady.

" Please come with me. " they both followed after her

" When did Ryan change his secretary? " Xavier asked the man behind him.

" I really don't know sir, but it's not something new since he's known for how picky he becomes when it comes to his secretaries, rumor has it that he changed them like his clothes , but I heard this new one is very capable and a delegate when it comes to her work, in the organization everyone sings her praise. " The man informed him.

" What nonsense does a secretary need to work that hard?" he sneered. That bastard must have been stressing her alot for her to make a name in the business world in just two months .

" Sir, they are now in the second meeting room waiting for your presence." the secretary informed him again.

" Let them wait, I will meet them whenever I see fit. Ryan replied nonchalantly, since these people have caused the Li Enterprise so much loss, let them wait for him, after all there's no one important among them they should be grateful that he wants to personally attend to them instead of his P.R manager.

Clara came out carrying a tray with two cups of tea on it.

, " Miss Anna, are they here already? " she asked her subtitle secretary .

" Yes Miss Clara, they are at the meeting room two( 2 ), I've already informed the president , let me help you with this ." She made to collect the tire but Clara politely declined.

She knocked at the door twice but stopped when she heard a familiar voice.

"Come in! " Xavier replied coldly.

What?!It's him!Why is he here? Clara panicked, she beep through the glass panel, just to confirm her suspicion and there it was the back view she was very familiar with.

Maybe because no one entered after a long time, Xavier turned to look at the door, but Clara was quick to react, she immediately turned back and walked as quickly as her tiny legs could carry her .

" Miss Ann , please help me pass this to them. I'm suddenly not feeling fine. " she pushed the tire to her and made to leave but she paused and added " Change one to blue mountain ,add half cube of sugar in it and no milk." After saying this she fled .

Although she was confused Ann quickly carried out the instruction given to her.

" Uncle Ryan , it's him!, Xavier personally came!" Clara broke the news immediately and ran into the Ceo's office. Ryan who was busy reading the stock market jumped up from his seat " what!, Xavier is here?" He hurriedly picked up his jacket,ran his fingers through his hair to make sure it was well styled, before heading to the door,on getting to it he stopped and turned to face the woman who was visibly shaking.

" Maybe you should use my lounge while I go meet up with them , stay in there , until they leave, okay." he instructed he only walked out after he saw her nod positively.
